  1. Yeah, they were in town, I think, two years ago. I didn't know who/what they were.
  2. I thought you liked talking to me... Is there anyone enjoying talking to you? Geoff's mum. No, she actually told me last time I saw her that you bore her and she only speaks to you over the phone because it makes her feel like she's giving back to the less fortunate. She actually claims the cost of the phone calls back at tax time as charity work. Can you do that? It may only be mere seconds, but, because it's long distance, it gets expensive picking up just to say, "Matt, f*ck off."
  3. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Not Natalie Portman. Ah, this movie is ruined.
  4. No, unfortunately he will not. Robert has decided to step out of the CD business - too much work and not enough profit - and to concentrate on his family and day job. He already sold off most of his stock and even part of his personal collection. Sad, but true. It's sad things have come to this for Rob & Target Records. Quite a few labels & mail order sites connected to & supporting melodic rock have shut down over the last few years Sad indeed. In this age of downloading one might wonder when the cd, as a physical media, is gonna be extinct. I'm totally on the cd side of things on this matter. Yeah, there's no way I'll start paying for a digital form of media. It's ridiculous that convenience is ruling quality.
  5. *sigh* I have a foolish, child-like mind.

  7. Ahh, some good laughs in those last few posts. Thanks, boys. I needed that.
  8. Oh for fuck sake!! (For the benefit of a newbie) please explain... Hell, just search through AOR bands on the main site and you'll indubitably come across Freaky's posts. Hilarious! I wasn't around then, but the remains are still there. I used to spend hours reading through posts made about bands I couldn't care less for, but the constant war between, Freaky and primarily Jez and Uncle Pete (Blue Charvel) were nearly epic at times. I'm definitely up for stirring some shit.
  9. Yeah, I'm not sure how my cat would react. I guess there's only one way to find out...
  10. Bodyguards and Assassins It's a Hong Kong flick starring the incredible Donnie Yen. The film was much heavier than I had anticipated. I was expecting just another martial arts flick, which it had--and there were some amazing fight scenes--but, overall, it focused on Chinese history in the early 1900s. I highly recommend it, but perhaps you should brush-up on Chinese history--something I'm gonna do now.
  11. That is the worst. First off 5 kids!! Time to have some plumbing reworked... And If you have to advertise that your kids are great, they more than likely ain't. Lastly: Out here in Seattle that "vanity" plate would run you about $50 a year. I could think of many better uses for the $$$$$$. Hey now... I have "vanity" plates on both of my cars. Music related of course. The Santa Fe has... "BLKHRTS" The Chevy has "KIX" for my 2 favorite bands... Joan Jett and the Blackhearts and KIX (of course). I didn't know you like KIX.
  12. I saved it to my computer to put on my ipod for later. It is an MP3. Oh... I did not know that. Cheers.
  13. Mmm... Fat Tire's good! I'm not a great fan of Rickard's Red. It's not bad, by any means, and, when your other options are Bud, Coors, Labbat, and Molson, it's an absolute no-brainer. I can't stand that shit.
  14. Wha?? Vampire Weekend are great. Although, "Holiday" is escaping me, I think Ezra Koenig has a very unique, interesting, and enjoyable voice. Check out "Horchata" and "Giving Up the Gun." I've said it many times before, and I'll continue to say it. This is exactly why I stopped paying for cable/satellite. Download the shows you want. It's absolutely free, and you can often get 'em in HD.
  15. I'm gonna tell them tonight... I hate you, too...
  16. I'm not sure I'd classify--I'm not saying you are--Devil Wears Prada as a 'chick flick.' It was surprisingly a great film. Meryl Streep is almost always great--Mama Mia was a mistake--and Anne Hathaway was excellent.
  17. And you really watched this? Keef, you're a hero. ...or a masochist. I haven't decided which yet. I have a weakness for films that are considered to be "the worst ever" -- whenever I hear about a movie that has that distinction, I am immediately curious to see it and find out if the film in question is really THAT bad. In this case, it certainly is. When I bought it I thought maybe my kids might get a kick out of it, but after viewing it I decided I won't subject them to it after all. It might be considered child abuse. Hell, I wanna watch it! How can you not at least be curious? If you're serious, you can watch the film in its entirety on YouTube. Good luck getting through the whole thing. I suggest having an ample supply of malted beverages within easy reach before you press "play" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TkEumP828D4 Oh, and I bet that theme song ("Hooray for Santy Claus!") gets stuck in your head for the rest of the day. Heh heh! Thanks bud. I look forward to it--the movie, the theme song haunting me for a week, and the copious amounts of beer that will indubitably be involved. Cheers.

  19. After all the screaming for this link, I still haven't listened to it. Let's keep bumping this thread so I don't forget.
  20. I've thrown balls, rocks, sticks, frisbees, bottle rockets, styrofoam airplanes...
  21. The first one was merely okay, and the second was simply boring. I have no desire to see this one.
  22. Watch "Idiocracy." It may be a comedy, but I fear it may also be a good look at what we are becoming. Idiots.
  23. Is no one gonna say "jinx?" Ha, both posted at the same time too. Great minds think alike! And now we have proof that inferior minds do, as well.
  24. Yeah, that was a great film. Very well done.
