  1. On Dean's myspace, Dean Davidson is back with Britny Fox drummer Johnny Dee for a new album entitled "Rock, Punk and Roll" under the moniker "Dizzy Dean". http://www.myspace.com/deandavidson Is this good news because Dean is going back to his roots or yet another attempt by Dean to revitalise his moribund career by calling himself "Dizzy" again?
  2. Agreed. I have no use for music magazines.
  3. Because They Can is a decent album and so is Imaginator. Because They Can is very poppy acoustic based AOR and is very good while Imaginator is darker than the first album with decent songs. Nothing beats the first one though; very polished melodic rock. I must say I'm particularly looking forward to the Live album as I've always wanted to hear them live and plugged rather than the few acoustic performances floating around. I'm also surprised and pleased that Neil Zaza is touring with them. I had no idea that such a partnership was even possible. I hope the new album is similar to the first.
  4. Agreed. The last album was a disappointment for me although there were a couple of good songs on it. I'm excited by Reb's comments that there's going to be a decent ballad along the lines of Headed... on it. I hope to God it's not that progressive shit like on the fourth album and hope it's similar to the first two albums although a similarity with the third album would almost be as good. I'm surprised by everyone knocking them live. I think they sound perfect live.
  5. Excellent videos! Had this album for ages and it doesn't get enough plays it deserves.
  6. This blog post contains links to mp3s (192 bit rate) of discs 1 and 2 of the Sea Isle Demos. http://shooto-hard-rock.blogspot.com/2008/...0-91-2-cds.html For those who can't be bothered to visit the blog link the rapidshare links are: http://rapidshare.com/files/80506593/BRITN...0-91_disc_1.rar and http://rapidshare.com/files/80517185/BRITN...0-91_disc_2.rar and the password for both rar files is ladywinter. Enjoy.
  7. According to wikipedia and their website a new album is on the way but was supposed to be released in 2008! Hopefully something will show up eventually.
  8. Dangerous Age is excellent and was the first Brian Howe album I got. I love Something About You, Dangerous Age, Love Attack, One Night, No Smoke Without Fire and the best song The Way It Goes. Superb album I keep coming back to. I'm also very fond of the very Foreigner-esque Fame And Fortune and of the Live album. While Brian is no Paul he does the old songs justice (apart from Feel Like Makin' Love) and the guitar work from Mick Ralphs and Dave Colwell is spot on. Good live album overall.
  9. That would be a monstrosity even worse than Ozzy re-recording his first few albums with new musicians! :o The first album is perfect in every way. If anything I'd like to hear Tony redo Andy's two solos from the album.
  10. Haha so true. But having other albums makes the sound of the first album so much sweeter. I prefer Tony's sound. My least two favourite songs on the debut are the ones with Andy's solos: Boys Will Be Boys and Saturday Night. Tony was also excellent on both Saraya albums especially the first one. I've just listened to the three mp3 samples and while they're good, they sound like something from their Cockroach album. I notice that they haven't as much keyboards as the debut and can only wonder why they don't bring back Kasey Smith. Ghost of Love is definitely my favourite at the moment and I'll definitely be getting this album as Danger Danger with Ted was always one of my favourites.
  11. I haven't heard the second album and my favourite from the first one is Heaven Is A 4 Letter Word. Great album overall. Almost flawless.
  12. Brian Howe's version was ever so slightly better. However, Howe doesn't do the best job of singing Rodgers' songs.
  13. Yeah Sharon got Daisley and kerslake off the original Blizzard album. The only one you can get new is the remixed one now. It's a disgrace.
  14. You should check out the theme to the film Top Gun. Great solo work.
  15. Disturbed by a long shot. They're the only band that sound slightly like heavy metal.
  16. Wow looks like my poll struck gold! Thanks a lot Fahrenheit. I've been searching for those CD singles on ebay with no luck and searched for the mp3s with no success. Roadhouse is definitely a band that should've gone further. EDIT Here's a Japanese release of this album on ebay. I believe the track listing is the same as there are ten tracks although the seller hasn't said which ones I'm assuming they're the same. You could always ask him. http://cgi.ebay.com/ROADHOUSE-s-t-JAPAN-CD...p3286.m20.l1116
  17. Yeah I did that. Pretty good deal considering some have spent $200 for it! Oh by the way, don't forget to CANCEL your paypal subscription to the site as the site will take $4.99 off you every month otherwise.
  18. I chose One Heart but the whole album is escellent. What was everyone else's favourite? Paul Jackson's myspace: (lead singer) http://www.myspace.com/pauljacksonsongwriter
  19. I unzipped the rar file of the kissmar ones and I got 12 wma files and they weren't even titled. They were all called "Pista 01" "Pista 02" etc. Again, at the time of writing this, my link works absolutely fine for me.
  20. At the time of this post I just tried my link again and it worked. So you just have to keep trying. EDIT: Ten minutes later the link still works.
  21. My apologies. The link in question sometimes does not work and is dodgy. Bit annoying. The link worked fine for me a couple of days ago and downloaded them fine. It appears sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. Just have to keep trying. It worked for me. Thank you Captain Howdy. I discovered that one quite easily but was disappointed with the Kissmar release as they are 128 kbps bit rate wma files. The whole album is only 37 MB whereas the link I provided was for maximum quality mp3 files at 320 kbps bit rate with the whole album being 91 MB in size. Again, I was disappointed with this release so i searched for hours for the link I provided. It is dodgy and didn't work for me first time around but I went on it again two days ago and downloaded them all. You'll just have to keep trying the link I provided but if you can't be bothered to wait you have no choice but to get the kissmar lower quality wma files. They sound almost as good but me being a purist I wanted the best.
  22. On this site you can download the entire Jillson album. For all those that don't want to pay $200+ for it. http://mp3zr.com/?q=Jillson I searched for literally HOURS. I found a few blogs here and there with broken rapidshare links and one with low quality wma files. I never expect to but the CD of this album proper so it's good to have these mp3 files. The mp3s are at 320 and so are excellent quality.
  23. Really looking forward to this. Almost as much as Chinese Democracy. Hopefully this'll be just as great.
  24. It depends with me. Sometimes to get into a band I get the greatest hits - especially if they have a HUGE discography. If they have onlt a few albums then I start with the first album. I love live albums but only if the set list is good.
  25. Good poll as these two are two of my favourites. I had to go with Warrant's first release but it was a tough decision - VERY tough. On another day I'd change that. Warrant's second was better than Winger's second. Pull was better than Dog Eat Dog as the latter drags on a bit. The live album by Warrant is awful I never listen to it and downloaded a bootleg instead as well as some youtube videos. The live album by Winger is superb and I highly recommend it. Born Again is miles better than Winger !V but the latter has its moments.
