  1. Haha I ain't complaining. The name of that band was bugging me for about a week before I asked here. This site really is a great resource for all things rock and metal!
  2. Brilliant! I'm looking forward to this one but they really have lost it in recent years. Some of the songs off the later discs are best not mentioning. Still if they are looking to do a rock record then I'm up for that!
  3. I love Autograph and love the keyboards. It's a pity they never reunited properly. RIP
  4. Mate, that was exactly whom I'm thinking of!! Thank you so much! Now I can go get their CDs... Thanks again for your help everyone. This means a lot to me.
  5. Can anyone help me remember this band? I think they're canadian and were late 70s - early 80s. They changed the name of the band to release a killer soundtrack for an early 80s movie and I saw the movie once but can't remember what it was called! I keep thinking of Steppenwolf but don't think it was them. Can anyone answer please? Thanks in advance.
  6. What's up with the latest additions on HH? They have no cover art associated with them! Just wanted to let y'all know in the humblest way possible. *Bows and leaves*
  7. I agree with the post. This album was released for the fans and has the potential to be a classic. Almost all the songs are very listenable and get better each time. I think many songs are catchy enough. Sure, the original hair metal sound from Appetite is gone meaning no monster ballads or Hard rockers but the songs are catchy enough in comparison to today's music and so I think the album is a very good one. As far as calling it Guns N' Roses, Axl has every right to call it a Guns N' Roses release. Since Whitesnake is just Coverdale, I consider Guns N' Roses to be just Axl. The original Guns had Tracii Guns on guitar and since he's not present, it technically hasn't been Guns... ever since. Plus Tommy Stinson, Dizzy Reed, Richard Fortus and Robin Finck (if he carries on being in the band) have been in the band for years so I don't think it is just a band full of session musicians. Axl IS Guns N' Roses. The others left him in the lurch and he's bravely fought on and put up great concerts for people all over the world and now he's put out a killer album. It can only get better for Guns N' Roses at this point.
  8. I don't post enough on this forum. Only 60 odd posts in 5 months? Oh well.
  9. WHat's annoying is trying to find an album that is on vinyl but has never been released on CD!
  10. Oh yeah and I also bought CHinese Democracy off ebay the day after it was released!
  11. Boring post but here goes anyway, I was round my sister's recently and I was rummaging through her and her husband's old CD collection! One gem I found: Wings Of Tomorrow by Europe! Lucky find as that's the only Europe album I don't have!
  12. I always thought Crazy love and Long Way From Home were both great songs.
  13. Amen to that. Anything without Michael or Tommy together is NOT Britny Fox
  14. I just got the album today via ebay (and nabbed the first comment on the comments section hehe) and the production is superb. Every song sounds professional and flawless. I heard another two albums are coming. I eagerly await them but I'm not expecting them to be released anytime soon. I heard that Axl only released this because of the 9 song demo leak. I'm surprised he actually released this because I also heard he;d only release it when China became a democracy! Ah well. Stupid internet rumours.
  15. I have the right to rock CD but found it a bit lacklustre and uninspired. This band was a bit of a disappointment for me when I first heard them.
  16. I'll soon be getting this from ebay. I know all the songs anyway so it shouldn't be too different. The thing is, the band is like a session musician band with LOADS of people participating. It's like Axl's solo band.
  17. STILL Kickin' - Danger Danger
  18. I thought Mike Slamer actually played most of them. CC Deville of Poison played the solo one of the band's biggest hits and most common known track " Cherry Pie". When CC Deville has to fill in, you can't be that great of a guitar player. I love most of what Warrant did, but as far as the guitar work goes I'm not so sure I'd rave about it. I actually like joey because his solos sound good. If I wanted technical ability I'd go with Michael Angelo Batio or Vinnie Moore. I don't think anyone can top them for technique. I prefer melodic solos that fit the songs and Joey always delivers.

I actually heard that CC Deville did that solo as a guest not because Joey couldn't do it. CC is actually one of Joey's friends - at least at that time. I don't believe that bullshit about someone filling in for both Erik and Joey, they seem to perform live extremely well and with no difficulty and there's footage on youtube of them performing in 1987 well before their first album was out. Joey's the best for me and always will be.
  20. Hmm not bad. Although I think their prediction of a new rock n roll era coming is false.
  21. Great pic RichieZ! Robbin's a legend!
  22. I know he did the second ones on both Round and Round and Wanted Man as well as Never Use Love and Closer To My Heart. He also did I Want A Woman too but beyond that I don't know.
  23. Could someone give me a list of all the songs Robbin plays lead on? I know most of the tracks but apparently there are more. I also know he did none on the Detonator album.
  24. Joey Allen from Warrant. ALWAYS comes out with great solos. Always
