  1. I dont think the band have had much choice in most of the live and compilation CDs, its mostly all down to big record labels. I think the only two they had a hand in was the Key club one, and the live one released the same year, as that was sold at their shows. All the other live albums have been record label stuff.
  2. I think I'd bypass the moose pig, and go straight for her sister, Aimee
  3. I am a huge Cinderella fan, but not a huge fan of live albums. I sorta gave up on buying all the best of CDs, as I already have 3 of them, but I probably will buy this one...maybe. So while I agree that this is not exactly stunning news, when we are all just wanting a new studio album, like the eloquent Aussie said, the great news (for me) is that I may actually get a chance to see them in the flesh. They are one of my few top bands that I have yet to see, so this is very good news indeed, especially on top of the newly announced Winger tour as well!
  4. Just played the demo of this on the PS3, and thought I would look up the cast on imdb (Rob Halford voices one of the characters as well), and while I was there, thought I'd see if it had the songs that will be in the game, as I was listening to Children of the grave by the Sabbs at one point in the demo. This is what imdb says will be in the game...fucking amazing. # "Destroy the Orcs" 3 Inches of Blood # "Fast as a Shark" Accept # "Angel Witch" Angel Witch # "Metal Thrashing Mad" Anthrax # "March of the Crabs" Anvil # "Tag Team" Anvil # "Sulphur Injection" Apostasy # "A Serpentine Crave" Bishop of Hexen # "The Somber Grounds of Truth" Bishop of Hexen # "Children of the Grave" Black Sabbath # "Never Say Die" Black Sabbath # "Blackout" Scorpions # "Symptom of the Universe" Black Sabbath # "Cry of the Banshee" Brocas Helm # "Drink the Blood of the Priest" Brocas Helm # "Breadfan" Budgie # "Zoom Club" Budgie # "Witches" Candlemass # "No Love Lost" Carcass # "Angels Don't Kill" Children of Bodom # "Nightstalker" Cloven Hoof # "Skeleton on your Shoulder" Coroner # "Her Ghost in the Fog" Cradle of Filth # "Queen of the Masquerade" Crimson Glory # "Insomnia" Dark Fortress # "Cathode Ray Sunshine" Dark Tranquillity # "Blitzkrieg" Deathstars # "Rock of Ages" Def Leppard # "Murmaider" Dethklok # "Am I Evil?" 7. 'Fuck the Goo Goo Dolls, they can suck my balls, they look like the dogs that hang out at the malls.' That song line perfectly sums up my feelings on the Goo Goo Dolls.
  8. Surprise surprise, he has left a neg for someone today, reason 'marks on the disc'...same old fucking excuse again and again. Why the fuck does eBay not bounce a clown like this?
  9. Yes... for his BUYERS... Look at the feedbacks he's left for the sellers he's bought from... He's left them ALL negative feedback because he knows they can't do anything about it... I'd say its about time some people started buying from him, claim money back via paypal, and leave him negative feedback. That'd sure teach him a lesson to give him the same run around he gives everyone else!
  10. Tim, mate, did you break while I was away? Filler? Bad production? Dude, get that freakin' Fair Warning CD out of your player and put in the Danger Danger CD! Agree, agree, agree. In my mind there is not a doubt in the world that this is Ted's best album since 'Cockroach'. He sounds excellent... a huge cut above any other project he's been involved with since his split with D2. Production-wise, this sounds great. I seriously cannot understand what Tim's talking about there. I was concerned about a lack of balls based on samples, but to me this sounds really excellent and it has a heavier sound than the samples suggested. Sounds killer to me. I also agree there are no fillers at all. I guess if pressed I'd say 'Beautiful Regret' is the weakest track, but a filler? Not a freakin' chance. Faves so far are 'Killin’ Love', 'Hearts On The Highway', 'Rocket To Your Heart' (probably my fave so far), 'Never Give Up' (despite it's horrid title) and the killer closer 'Dirty Mind'. But as I said, I love it all. Just like Hess/Lesperence, in my opinion, every time Ravel/West put pen to paper they create genius. Sure the lyrics are simple rhyming words of youth but the way these guys write songs is just superb. IMO, this album is better than the 2 Laine discs (which I love) and probably my 4th fave disc in their catalogue. I love it. Like Chris mentioned, though, I did miss the tongue-in-cheek harder rocking edge of the material on 'Screw It' and like Chris, I'd like to see them embrace some of that on the next (fingers crossed) CD. Killer disc, though, and a good chance at being my fave this year. Couldnt agree more. Absolutely no filler and the production sounds amazing. If I had to pick my faves it would be, Rocket to your heart, Thats what I'm talking about, FU$, Keep on keepin on & Hearts on the highway, but thats not to say the rest aint great though. I'm sure many of us wanted a return to the golden olden days, but I think we all knew that wouldnt happen, but I think this is a nice combination of pretty much everything they have done.
  11. The last two Bormann solo albums were very lightweight. This isnt to say they were bad, as there were some very good songs on them, but they were nowhere near as strong as the last two JH albums. Helluvatime was pretty much of a similar style to Trust, so its hard to say that Bormann was responsible for the more melodic aspects of the band, but Sinister Mind was definetly the product of a band wanting to show that maybe there was more to them than they had shown for years. Yes its heavier than previous albums, but I dont think its that far removed melody wise.
  12. I think its down to eBays new policy that encourages people like him. He knows that under the old rule where sellers could leave neg feedback, he would find his feedback dropping like a brick, but under the new rules, he can get away with this shit. Quite frankly, how eBay can let him continue to trade on there is a joke. Even they must realise that no person could have every single deal turn out shit like he claims. This no neg rule for sellers is bollocks, as not only does it stop you from warning other people about bad buyers, but it increases the potential for people like this idiot to have their way. Plus, since the rule came in, I have started getting more and more non paying bidders, cause basically they know you cant leave them a neg, and as long as they minimise how often they do this, a non pay strike isnt worth shit!
  13. The three shows I saw them play here were almost the entire album, plus a few covers. Maybe because the album isnt out there yet, they are only playing a handful of their own tunes, and lotsa covers due to what they feel is the audiences unfamiliarity with their own stuff. Just as a small aside to the review above, they always use the words penis and vagina, as its funnier that way, using the proper terminilology, and I dont think the gay jokes have anything to do with where they are, thats their set all the time, pretty much.
  14. I actually had two Dreamcasts as the first one died. Both kept freezing and rebooting, and it was a known problem for many people. The DVD on the PS2, once again, I had no problems with with the exception of one DVD. It was actually my only DVD player for years. Its well recognised that the Dreamcast just was not as good as it should have been because they released it too early to get the jump on Sony, which allowed Sony to add things to its system to make sure it didnt cock things up like the DC did. Your argument on brand loyalty just doesnt wash, to be honest. Sony only had a single console under its belt, where as Sega had been going for years, thus in essence had a hell of a lot more brand loyalty than Sony. And also, if it was just about brand loyalty, why is the PS3 not as successful? The thing about developers is neither here nor there as its the actual games that matter to the consumer not how easy or difficult it is to program for. The DC's catalogue was woefully inadequate, simple as that. I tried loads of games on it, and the all pretty much sucked, with the exception of Code Veronica, which once again, was better on the PS2. The technical specifications of the DC were less than the PS2, with many people saying the DC was more equal to the PS1 than the PS2. Tech specs: Playstation 2 has a 128-bit, 294 MHz main processor, with 32 megs of system RAM and 4 megs of video RAM, capable of generating 16 million polygons per second. Dreamcast has a 128-bit, 200 MHz main processor, with 16 megs of system RAM, 8 megs of dedicated video RAM and 2 megs of audio RAM, capable of generating 3 million polygons per second
  15. If that song is any indication of what the rest of the album sounds like, I will be very happy. I love Litas older stuff, but I also like a lot of other stuff, and this doesnt sound like an album I will dislike. I really dont think anyone could expect her to come back with something that sounds like the old days, especially seeing as Jim is heavily involved. It was always gonna sound different.
  16. From reading an interview with her/him, the album that was released under the name Marcie Free, Tormented, was older stuff, much the same as his debut solo album, but she/he also stated that she/he never had anything done to his/her vocal chords, meaning it should be the old Mark Free voice. She/He did state though that they would need to go through some excercise to get the stamina back for singing, as they have been pretty much unused since the op.
  17. I seem to remember he produced the self titled Doro album.
  18. Got this this morning, and found out that each copy is personally signed, so it really is a limited edition unlike most so called limited editions. It comes in a 7" single gatefold case, with the CD in a cardboard slipcase with the insert booklet seperate. The red vinyl has two live tracks on it, recorded in Paris 2005. They are Sign of the times and Start from the dark. As for the music itself. Like the last two Europe albums, I am certainly digging this one as well. Basically, if you hated the last two albums, you will probably hate this as well.
  19. Looked on Amazon.co.uk a few weeks ago to see if I could preorder it, but no joy. Just went to the Frontiers website, and saw I can preorder it there. Fantastic, I thought, until it came time to pay. CD wasnt unreasonably priced, but once postage is added on, they want nearly £19....screw that. Went back to Amazon, and its now on there...just short of £13 with free postage, and unlike Frontiers, I dont have to pay in advance either.
  20. Well, still no CD (probably been a month or more) yet amazingly I just recieved a CD from the USA this morning, that I ordered last week. This was the first CD I ordered from Chavis, its also my last!
  21. They were only available over here as single b-sides!
  22. Well fingers crossed then it will still show up, just sucks that a company offers such a poor service in this day and age.
  23. So what is the deal with Chavis records? I preordered this CD ages ago, and kept getting emails saying it had been delayed, then weeks ago they said it was dispatched. I have still yet to recieve it, and have now emailed them twice in the last two weeks, but nobody answers. Anyone else order this one from them? I dont wanna start bad mouthing them as things do go missing in the post, but I am more annoyed that they dont seem to be able to answer emails.
