  1. Yeah I've seen a few posts like this recently - how so?
  2. Mystery solved, the song is actually from a production company called 'KPM Music' and the song is called 'Will You Be There'. Check out the whole discussion on this song here Great song!!! It could be huge if a band was to release it. Geoff - PM sent.
  3. Yep a good album. Thought this was fairly common.
  4. So it says in the liner notes that this is a New Zealand band. Could this be the best hard rock band to ever come out of new Zealand??? Also interesting that one of the past members was also in Love N' Rebellion. Got my copy of the CD today and will have a listen later on.
  5. Usually I'm not worried about upgrading from original pressings to re-masters/re-issues, mainly due to the fact that my money could be spent on CD's that I don't already have. Mostly though I prefer originals, but I can't go past the awesome Rock Candy re-issues. Hole punches/promo stamps and all that shit doesn't bother me one iota. Digi Packs I'm starting to like a lot more...they really do look good presentation wise some of them...but they are a bit of a pain in that they're slightly bigger than a normal jewel case.
  6. Yeah, that was the only old school one I could think of. I think some clowns did this - K.I.S.S. but they were freaks and everyone knows it's just KISS. W.A.S.P. is an acronym for something isn't it? W.A.S.P. = We Are Sexual Predators...so I've heard
  7. Love it. Ordered it. I'm glad to see this in the Hard Rock/AOR section as although they have a slight modern sound (as with any new band), this is pure Melodic Hard Rock. Very nice find here. The best part is the EP came to just AU $11.30 including overseas postage. I love the band logo as well.
  8. It was a great show. Would've been nice to get up closer but with 70,000 people in that stadium it was just impossible. I managed to get back to the hotel in 35 minutes - got a train straight away back to to Parra then a big line of taxi's were waiting - about $12 all up. Was very happy with that. Best song of the night I thought was 'Let There Be Rock' but yeah that guitar solo went on a bit. And they played 'You Shook Me' too early. One song I would have loved to hear that they didn't play was 'Who Made Who'. Glad you enjoyed it Geoff. Nice to catch up and have a few drinks too.
  9. Best album covers ever... 1. ACDC - Let There be Rock 2. Whitesnake - Love Hunter 3. Icon - Right Between the Eyes 4. KISS - Destroyer
  10. Very impressed by this one Actually I picked this up based a review here on the HH forums, in fact it might have been you Dave that reviewed it. Hopefully I'll have some time to watch it soon. Great set list!
  11. The Szuters - American Pop Siloam - Dying to Live Allied Forces - R.U. Wild Asylum Suite - S/T Harem Scarem - Die Off Hard (Single) Bon Jovi - Live At Madison Square Garden DVD
  12. WTF? Really? Was that mentioned before? I didn't know about it at all. Obviously I'd have no interest in most of them, but I'd love to see Edguy! Yeah it was this festival in Sydney: But some of the bands announced some side shows and Edguy ended up playing in Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth as well. Edguy didn't do separate shows for Brissy or Sydney. When they came to Brissy back in '04 on the Hellfire Downunder Tour they played this tiny little venue called the Indie Temple (not there anymore). No one knew about it so I can't really blame the band for not wanting to come back here. The Melbourne show, on other hand, at the Espy (Gershwin Room) kicked ass. One of the best gigs I've ever been to.
  13. ? Did anyone end up seeing Edguy, Sonata Arctica or any of those other bands that were touring Australia earlier this year? I know there was that heavy metal festival they all played at but some of these bands did some extra shows. Matt did you see any of them?
  14. Garrisons also on the cards, including songs that yet to be heard it seems Are you serious? Please don't get my hopes up only to have me shot in the testicles. Do you know this for sure? Which label is doing it? Why has it not been announced elsewhere? How do you know? Please share all your knowledge, mate, because this is potentially the best news I've heard since I heard Treat and Danger Danger were releasing new CDs... if you're serious. A good old trading friend of mine mentioned he has the rights to release the garrison tracks, he's started up a new aor label which is also going to release another obscure & sadly yet to be released aor gem that features the mighty pipes of Tony Mills of Shy on backing vocals. Yes he is a member of a this forum & has only recently joined. All official announcements will be soon Nice. That's awesome news. It will be the early Garrison stuff, hey? The perfect melodic rock. Not the later songs where they went more raw and bluesy? Wonderful news - especially about Garrison. I hope they have some good masters to work with in order to get the sound quality better though. That would make an awesome compilation with 20+ Garrison tracks on it.
  15. Not sure how I forgot this one...awesome track!!!
  16. Yeah definitely looking forward to this. Anyone else heard Tobias sing on the track 'I'm The Animal' on the new Bruce Kulick album. Great song!!

  19. Yeah I like that song & video. Will have to check out some more of their recent stuff.
  20. This black metal band from Argentina is pretty controversial with the lead singer Vivian Black and her satanic beliefs. It seems she likes popping them out on stage a lot too. Now why would you do that?

    N.O.W

Some pretty good songs here. Apparently a debut album is due out this month.
  22. Man I would love to see them play, the original line-up too. Honestly I'm going to have to get my shit together and head over to one of these melodic rock festivals next year.
  23. Whilst I really love the music here, it's the "growling deep voice" as you described Dave, that I can't listen to. Apart from that its great.
