  1. The answer to this is to look at the Foundations Forum 90 CD credits and see what the band line-up is or who wrote the track on that sampler...this will tell us if it's the same band who released that CD in 1995. I'm guessing it's a rare CD that not many people have heard but if the songs are similar to the 'More Than a Miracle' track then I will be very interested to trackbit down. I just had a look and I don't have the Foundations Forum 90 in my collection.
  2. Great band, have been a fan since the late 90s. My top five would be the same as yours Geoff though in a slightly different order. Will have to relisten though Trust would be #1. Agreed Journey is a good album too. What's interesting to me about seeing your ratings is that there really isn't too much between their best and worst album which shows what a strong and consistent band they really are. I really like the idea of averaging the rating for a band based on all their album ratings...that would be interesting to see- the problem with this would be that one or two albums which are clunkers could destroy a bands rating.
  3. There's a band on the main site called Tammer Laine (as opposed to Tamer Lane). Perhaps this is the band in question? Wierd that it would be the same band with different spelling though. They also have a track on this 1993 local / unsigned bands CD called 'Texas Power Rail'. The thing is that the Foundations Forum CD is from 1990, this comp is from 1993 and according to a source I found, the band did not form until 1994. So perhaps both tracks were demos to try and secure a record deal. On the other these may be completely different bands, who knows? "Hard Rock band with a Southern touch from Columbus, OH, formed in 1994 and released one album titled Lets Get It On on Rainbow Rider Records in 1995. For fans of bands like Bang Tango, DMolls and Oney." From melodichardrock.com Personnel David Sivy vocals B.J. Byrne guitars Steve Tinney bass Scott Tennyson drums Trent Anderson guitars 1. Let's Get It On 2. No Place Left 3. This Ole World 4. Misunderstood 5. Snotnose 6. Keep It Together 7. Good Day For Dyin' Anyone have / heard this disc? - no comments on the main site.
  4. Apparenyly it was a B side on one of the pressings of the 'Wasted Time' single and is a Sex Pistols cover.
  5. This one's been around the net for years, here's a working link... but only 4 songs, not sure how many are on that fan CD? https://yadi.sk/d/DjpnPN7NTLGQ3
  6. JC AOR, I have watched many of my friends, who early on in life, knocked up some chick, and for whatever convoluted reason, married them cause of this, fucking up both their lives, well there are about 3 of them, who married chicks that turned out to be "bipolar", I dont hang out with trash, have never laid a violent hand on any women in my entire life, watching my mom get beat up as young kid, I formed my own opinion on this very early on, and it wasn't until I watched some of my best friends, the happiest go lucky guys in the world, get turned into "wife beaters", watched how these women played fucking mind games with these guys, twisted and shredded their self confidence, emasculated them, finally suttely taking pokes and small shots at them, then it snowballs from there, hitting them with shit, constantly showing up at their jobs, trying to catch them cheating, twisting their own words around to suit, whatever brash sick fucking warped thoughts they are trying to plug their own minds with, my friends knowing that the second they leave, they will never see their kids again, these sick bitches waiting for them to leave so they can take everything they own, then finally physically abusing them, what man is going to call the police cause his wife's beating him up? then finally the house of cards crashes down, and guess who winds u a "woman beater" with a domestic violence charge on their records, not the sick whores who instigated it, so I am completely sympathetic to women like my mom, who were so stunned by the fact the man they loved would lay a hand on them, that it takes them a minute to comprehend it and put a stop to it, but ive watched way to many of these sick bitches, who are probably way more prevalent in America, because the way the entire moral fabric of the country seems to becoming unwound, trust me dude, I would have to say it's a safe bet that more then half of domestic violence charges in this country go the way I have just laid it out, then not, because it's a lose lose situation for the man, you get caught up with the wrong bitch, and your a goner, no judge is going to take your side, therefore, women no they can trap a man, and once they do, its over, I dont imagine it's really like that in Australia, as from all I see, Aussies, they seem to be pretty normal people, and not at all entitled, at least the many I know, I do not apologize for the wording I used, because these women are the bottom of the barrel, I thought I was being to nice, but watching these fucking wicked whores sink their fangs into my friends, and watching my friends have their entire lives ripped out from under them, you will get no apologies from me, nor any sympathy, if some jerk off waste of skin beats his girl around, just cause he's a piece of shit, thats different, I walked out of an apartment I was at 3 years ago, and a guy had his girlfriend hunched into the corner of their patio, kicking her, and hitting her with a whiskey bottle, I told my daughter to wait in the house, and I walked over and took control of the situation, I found myself in a situation that almost cost me my freedom for the rest of my life, it's a fucking disgustingly fine line, and I have just seen way to many good guys go down in flames, I have zero patience for it, and its just getting to hard to always give the women the benefit of the doubt, sorry I was an asshole to you, I just say what i feel, and it's so hard to read a persons emotions and point of view through words, are we cool? I understand your point of view and believe me I do realise that domestic violence works both ways. Women are not always the victims, absolutely I do agree with that. I guess I felt that your language and tone was quite brazen given the sensitivity of such a topic. I can see that like me, you have been influenced by experiences in your own life and therefore I respect your feelings Peace brother L. Now back to the music and I do hope this situation does not slow journey down in coming out with a new album.
  7. Ok @ L101. I have slept on it. Firstly can I say that your comment still utterly sucks. However I should not have attempted to interpret the meaning you placed behind it as I do not know what that is. So for me to say you are condoning violence against women was wrong and I do apologise. I think as Glen stated your wording was poorly chosen. As you stated, there are two sides to every story. Therefore we must consider that the woman in this case is nothing but a victim. Perhaps my views on this are influenced by the fact that I have seen women die and become permanently disabled as a result of domestic violence. This is something I see frequently in my work. In fact the current stat is that two women lose their lives as a result of domestic violence every week here in Australia. I'm not sure what the US stat is but it is undoubtedly much much higher. Again I'm not trying to put words in your mouth but when reading your comments it does appear that you are glossing over or overlooking the issue of violence against women. Again I am sorry if I have misinterpreted you but that is how it reads to me.
  8. Yeah a cool band this one. Agree their first few albums were very enjoyable. Been a long while since I've played them though.
  9. Yeah it is a great album that's for sure. At least a handful of killer songs but definitely some filler.
  10. Hey pal I did not put any words in your mouth- they are all your own. I tell you what, take your comments to a wider audience outside of this forum and see what sort of reaction you receive? Just a thought.
  11. Wow, wtf?Yes, WTF indeed! You sound like your condoning violence against women. I dont he's condoning it in those comments, just that maybe the full picture behind the story is never revealed. Obviously there are two sides to every story and we should all reserve judgement when we do not know the truth. But refering to a woman as a 'big mouthed bitch' and 'cunt' then going on to make comments stereotyping women as cooks and cleaners is just wrong and should not be excused. yeah the terminology could have been better.......... Understatement of the year...appalling comment by Leykis101 and I'm very surprised to see it being excused. I'm not excusing it thanks, just implying that having known Cody on this board for many a year, he might be a bit full on sometimes and his way of expressing things is not always ideal, but I do not think he was meaning to condone violence against women Maybe you should PM him and make your feelings known. I cannot tell you how much I hate it when shit behaviour is excused because 'that is just what they are like'. Shit behaviour is shit behaviour. PS my thoughts and feelings on this are known, they are here.
  12. Just had a re listen and IMO 'Desire' = 4/10 and 'Fill You Up' = 4/10.

  15. Wow, wtf?Yes, WTF indeed! You sound like your condoning violence against women.
  16. Really, I could have sworn they were on the main site....but yep just had a look as well and can't see them. Some great albums...nothing mind blowing but solid and should be more well known. I have a spare copy of Colours to trade if anyone is interested just PM me.
  17. I thought that might be the case. Cheers.
  18. Nice list, interesting read, but your ratings are high IMO. Lion, Blue Murder, Tesla, Bonfire, Danger Danger, Motley Crue and Icon are all excellent, but none would rate 9.5 out of 10, most would be 8 out of 10 though. And what is so bad about DRFSR??
  19. Yeah a good album but I much prefer 'Hunan Zoo' from their post 2000 output. Look forward to reading your buyer's guide! As for this live album....PASS!!
  20. Nice! Would love to obtain those De Arrow recordings...I thought they only had 4 songs. Can you rip it and send me the MP3s?
  21. Yeah agree with most here...this is some okay / average AOR...nothing to write home about. Still would be keen to hear those six demos though.
  22. Agree both albums are patchy. But when they're good...they're very good!
  23. Agree with you on that statement mate ?
