  1. What is the point in having all of this supposedly excellent stuff in the vaults...if it's really that good, get it out there for people to hear. Release that shit!! Maybe easier said than done but I'd rather low quality demos than nothing at all. And Budsyer 68...what was the point of your post?...if you have it, share it man...hate it when people hold on to rare stuff just to boast- again what's the point? Anyhow did some searching myself and this stuff doesn't seem to be out there. I doubt very much that Budsyer or anyone has this stuff. Would be cool to hear though.
  2. I dunno, not bad, all the songs sound a bit samey and the singer sounds like he's angry and shouting at someone. Kinda boring if you ask me.
  3. My little girl is Asha. Loved that name right from the start. Her initials turned out to be ACDC and I promise that wasn't intentional. Looking for boy names now as bub #2 will be here in around 8 weeks.
  4. Yeah really looking forward to this one...should be a goodie.
  5. Their whole discograpgy on one CD!
  6. Nice list Nightrain. In general you rate things higher than me but I definitely like most of your top 20. A big surprise for me though was your rating of Blue Murder s/t which I would have had much higher.
  7. 50 pages and I missed all of this. Guess I never used to look in this part of the forum much.
  8. Doesn't worry me waiting if it's going to be a better final product. Great band and I'm really looking forward to this one.
  9. ?I agree, what a fucking stupid promo photo. Why would ya?
  10. A question to Dan and co, can I post links to some very old Kerrang pdfs on the forum?
  11. I had a subscription to classic rock magazine for years. It was and still is a great magazine IMO, even though they do overhype certain bands quite a bit. I stopped getting it because I can't afford it anymore. Anyone who likes Kerrang, it is pretty easy to find the first 50 editions in pdf format if you search online. I'm still collecting the old Boulevard AOR magazines and a few similar melodic rock zines from the late 80s and early 90s....some of them are pretty hard to track down though.
  12. Scorpions - Love at First Sting (purely for how many times i hear Rock You Like A Hurricane) Not heard any King Kobra or House of Lords Never really liked Harem Scarem Ratt - Only heard the first two and i've heard nothing beats Invasion of Your Privacy The rest i agree with When it comes to RATT you can't ignore Detonator. They have a great discography but Detonator has some of their best songs. I guess it may have been their peak but who knows really. Cmon Dark give Harem Scarem another go, I'd say they are one of the most respected bands in the melodic rock scene.
  13. This is the only rating i will reveal before my final list but i rated it 86% (rounded up) I love the album. The first half is stronger i agree but my fav song is actually track 8 'I Dont Want to Cry' New Moon is also a gem. Very close rating we got. Mine is 83.6% 0.1% better than Whitecross and only 2-3% better than Tora Tora? Strange world you live in if that's the case, mate. Weird favourite song, Glen. I think that was one of my lowest rated tunes on the disc. One of my all time favourite songs is easily 'Never on Monday,' which is my fave. I do agree that 'New Moon' is absolutely superb, though. Such a classy album, and I love the vocals too. New Moon is my favourite from that album as well. But yeah a great album, one of my all time favs. Pitty that the follow up Texas wasn't so special. Anyone know of any unreleased demos etc from this band?
  14. As far as Bon Jovi goes, I love the debut as it was the first Bon Jovi album I ever owned and played. Also love 7800, SWW and NJ. I think their peak was definitely SWW. Also am I the only one here who can't stand 'Wanted Dead or Alive' - I just never liked that song. Some excellent songs in their modern discography too, especially on Bounce, HAND and LH. Circle is shit though.
  15. Like the majority here, I think this is an excellent debut. Not mind blowingly awesome but very good and no real complaints from me. Hopefully they stay around and release a follow up that blows this one away. It's funny I remember when Heat first came on the scene as Dreamer and I heard a demo of Keep on Dreaming for the first time...I remember I emailed the band telling them they were awesome and said that song was the best thing to be released in the last 10 or 15 years. Then they went on to do huge things as Heat. Hopefully Station can do similar things and become frontrunners in the AOR/MHR scene.
  16. Does anyone know anything about this band from Canada. Found a copy for $30, is it worth this? Note this is not the Bormann band from Norway. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y-VXL6vIREE
  17. Three of those I'm not even going to try based on what most people have said - Europe, Jettblack and Halestorm. For me this year has had a few goodies but even some of those (Rev Saints and Santa Cruz) where overhyped. I feel the best of 2015 is yet to come.
  18. Just playing it now....sounding wonderful so far. Catchy as hell this band is!!
  19. What about that Beastie Boys song.....you that song they did.....they only had one song right? ? Seriously though I have found with parties in the past as much as I want and love to play my obscure (to most) MHR and hair metal etc. It isn't all that well received by the masses. That's why I look to play stuff that people know. Bon Jovi and Whitesnake anthems always go down well toward the end when everyone is getting rowdy but for the most part I stick to classic rock like Glen suggests as well as lots of modern radio friendly rock ie Train, Goo Goo Dolls, Vertical Horizon, Nine Days, Journey, Roxette, Nik Kershaw, Corey Hart..... then maybe a few songs by Faith No More and Rage Against the Machine. Was thinking some modern rock like The Maine and Boys Like Girls is some good fun party music too. Now I know that was all very non heavy harmonies and I should probably be banished for such a post so I thought I'd make up for it by suggesting an album which is full of excellent party songs - 7th Heaven - USA UK, I reckon a few tracks off that (and Silver) would go down a treat. But at the end of the day it's about your crowd really....if you think they will dig Danger Danger - Monkey Business then go for it...have a blast mate. PS another cool topic...your on fire breayhing some fresh air into these forums. Cheers.
  20. I feel that I shouldn't bother with this one.
  21. Yeah Lindsay I remember seeing them live in Bris and feeling underwhelmed compared to the album.
  22. This EP is all I can find: https://drive.google.com/uc?id=0B1L7m6g4a5TBZDRPdnZoWXpwZjg&export=download
