  1. From Safety Suit's album - the trio of Anywhere But Here / Down / The Moment bliss................
  2. Safety Suit - Life Left To Go (one of genius modern albums of 08).
  3. Sorry guys to be a pain, but the second half of this album just falls flat for me. Very good up to and including track 6, but after that its all so depressing....and repeating the ballad again was a big mistake IMO.
  4. I own quite a few live albums, but only classics like 'Live & Dangerous', 'Captured', 'One Night In Budokan', 'No Sleep....' etc etc. I probably wouldnt go mad for more recently released stuff unless I read reviews that they were really excellent. Re greatest hits/best ofs.....I would only purchase if they contained rare or unreleased tracks or it was a band I wasnt familiar with and couldnt be arsed to buy their whole discography.

A massive well done to Everton, hope they win it now! I was annoyed before the kick off at Fergusons team selection and am still annoyed. Must be low on his priorities but not mine Well that ploy bit him on the arse didn't it, the Idiot. Shocking tactics by a manager who should know better. Tired players my arse...........he's a cock arse who thought he could squeeze through with his reserves. I hope they get knocked out of the Champions League as well......then we'll see what he thinks is important. To play reserves in the semi of the FA Cup is beyond belief. What is football coming to.
  6. I am legend. pretty good, but man how depressing ???!
  7. Yeah this is a good release......I just wish the last three tracks werent all so downbeat......would have been good to have a good rocker in there.
  8. Sound clip of 'Invincible' is now on their Myspace Totally Shinedown.................wicked. This album is gonna kick arse!
  9. Yeah very sad news. I really enjoyed his performance at Firefest. Seemed a genuinely nice guy on stage as well...very down to earth. RIP indeed.
  10. nice np Papa Roach - Metamorphosis Pretty Maids - Jump The Gun
  11. An Asian man is on his deathbed. He is awaiting death and has his family around him. he calls out 'wife are you there?' 'yes' she replies....... he calls out 'son are you there?' 'yes' the son replies he calls out 'daughter are you there?' 'yes' the daughter replies......... with that he leaps up from his bed and yells 'if you are all here, who the fuck is looking after the shop!'
  12. I'd agree those two discs are in a different league To Zinatra's Great Escape.....there's something about that album which slightly annoys me. I dunno what....just a bit frantic and over the top in places. As I said slightly annoying........ I'd go with Zinatra's "Great Escape" over the Masquerade album - that was (apart from 2 or 3 stunning tracks) largely overrated IMO.... Yeah I know what you mean........I'd listen to it over Zinatra tho. Dreamhunter kills both..........stone dead.
  13. Recently - Story Of The Year - The Black Swan Hinder - Extreme Behaviour D Dokken - Up From The Ashes
  14. If Lane had predicted that he'd get fat, make a tit of himself, and forget how to write good songs, then he might've been more accurate.... how about Marillion - Fugazi Great lyrics (as with most Fish era Marillion).
  15. The Gift Of Life is a great song......... it's after that, the problems start

just trying to plug this band as much as possible - I know quite a few dont read the 'other music' threads so here's a song which will feature on the debut album due in July. Enjoy. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ot6Xx3gojYI
  17. Bulletproof Messenger - Arm Yourself Daughtry - s/t
  18. Ah, so he's talking about Marc Hunter's band HUNTER. That had a song called "Start It Up" on there. The album's: "Dreams of Ordinary Men", and it's pretty good lite AOR with one outstanding tune ("Rain") and loads of other good ones. It's on a major label I think so you should be able to track it down, but I wouldn't pay much... Yeah, I'd stick with 'Orion The Hunter'.................

2-3 to the shrimpers yesterday. Good season but wont be enough to squeeze into the playoffs. Should stand a good chance next season though if we keep improving.
  20. Sucker For A Pretty Face is a classic AOR album and my fav. Mr Big stuff is good also. TMG (aside from a couple of songs) was a big let down for me Im afraid.
  21. Well there are two bands featured on this site called Hunter, so I'd start there if I was you. Otherwise there is 'Orion The Hunter' from 1984 whose album was called 'Hunter' I believe. That is an awesome AOR album. Cheers
  22. Album now set for release on July 14th!!! At last a firm date. New single 'Invincible' should hit the radio first week in May

0-2 today to the Dons.........play offs are just a dream now. Mid table obscurity here we come. Better than a relegation battle tho............
