Definitely my favourtite Journey album (although only by a smidgeon over Escape and Infinity).....on this though there is no filler......and from tracks 5 through 9 is about as perfect as rock music gets. Five killer tracks in a row.

I dont think it was ever released........he started working on this album with one of the guys from Saxon (the bass player I think), but Im not entirely sure if the album was ever finished. Also, dont anyone get too excited about the new Yargos release coming out this year (with Mac as lead singer) cos from what Ive heard it sounds like complete tosh. Weird eh, that Mac leaves Threshold at the height of their powers having just released one of the best albums in the genre stating that he needed to get out of music and spend more time with his family - then he goes and agrees to another album with this bunch of misfits The mind boggles...........

Now that I finally have this one in my hands, I am disappointed. Huge. The songs just are not there compared to the S/T. Too bad as I was looking so forward to this one. Not enough original material for my liking. Good album but nothing more.

I will admit that I think it was the best of that severe mid-album dip in quality. No, wait. I don't think it was. I forget. Wait a sec. 'Forever now' is the best from track 5-9. I can't believe you don't like 'The Spirit Inside'. For me, easily the 2nd best on the disc after 'I found love'. Yeah, but Forever Now is a cover so it should be good. I cant believe you dont like Gutters Of Gold - kicks my arse. It's a fine song... just one of the weaker ones, imo. I do like the whole disc, except that terrible Schlongface Peterik ballad at track 5. yeah that is a bit sappy.
