  1. yeah and I would argue that Kiss Alive II is possibly in the top 10 live albums of all time. just saying.... Kiss had their filler, but their hits are pretty classic imo.
  2. Glen

    What's up all?

    Nice...another new member. Welcome.
  3. yep....saw then twice a while back and both gigs were dangerous for your health. Really enjoyed them live. Not sure I'd go now tho?
  4. I think it landed mid 100's for me. yeah once again Glen is wrong, but nothing new right ? Once again Glen is right you mean. No way does this album maintain a 90%+ consistency across all 13 songs. It's too long and has its share of weaker moments.....accented vox don't help either imo (but that is Treat for you) Although there are about 4/5 killer songs on it. Just keeping it real guys.
  5. Million are such a patchy band, never held onto any if their CDs. Millennium's Hourglass is a classic tho! How'd it rate? Both Milleniums are excellent. Million are bog average imo. And then there is Bulletproof Messenger............stonkingly great album
  6. Why does it need saving? Odd comment. My current top 10 is excellent imo. And if 2015 does need saving then..... Wigelius > Waltham Just saying.......
  7. Mid 80s is about right i reckon. On a par with OC.
  8. lets hope they do not destroy their legacy.
  9. controversial, but by and large correct.
  10. Well a new HEAT and HS record in 2016 is excellent news though Add those 2 to Vega and I might already know my 1 - 2 - 3 !!!
  11. got to be the easy winner of the day - i love that album. The Metal Skool EP was by far the pick of the bunch, but yes, in terms of full albums the Metropolis one was pretty clearly the best of the bunch. Very nice album, and reminds me of the last few family holidays that we must have all gone on together with Mum & Dad before we all got old and had other things on too. But yeah, 1999 (when it was released) must have been one of, if not the last one we all did together. And I remember listening to this new release several times during that trip. Good memories. thats pre Panther? I can imagine that's good then......dont own it tho....what songs are included? Yeah, pre-Panther. Don't worry, you're not missing too much. It's 9 tracks, with 4 interludes and 5 songs. 'Stripper Girl,' Fat Girl,' and 'Hell's on Fire' are all on this one. As well as the utterly essential 'Big Boobs' and then a bit of a filer in 'Cleveland Rocks.' So all you really need to do is get your hands on 'Big Boobs.' And then track down the MP3. ha ha........yeah. I think ive heard Big Boobs.
  12. saw on facebook that they will start recording their 4th album in Oct 15.
  13. Tim (2).......now there's a loss to the boards. Still friends on Facebook, but I think most of his time is taken up with his kid now.

  15. Yeah, it's a big ask and it'd have to be a killer line-up for me to consider it... but I am definitely interested to see what's on offer. 320km (200 miles) is no thang to me at all as both my brothers live about that far away up the North coast, and I like to visit them as often as I can. Not quite as frequent at the moment due to small children, but a 4hr trip to spend the weekend with the bros is always a no-brainer. As it would also be a no-brainer to see this show... but yeah, double that (and a half) is a bit larger task. yeah for sure. If FF (or Rockingham as it is now) was 1,000 km away I would have maybe been once or twice in the last 10 years - that's how often the line up would have warranted that type of effort.
  16. got to be the easy winner of the day - i love that album.
  17. Nice, let's hope they up their game and produce a real killer.
  18. Jesus.........that's a flight for me ;-)
  19. ... after All I Know. That is quite solid but after a while, it started losing the magic, I still rated it around 85% or less, are you still liking it at 90% ? Yep, 85% for me too. Great album. Degreed was the best signing so far - gave them the start they needed to go on and record 2 of the best albums in the genre in the last 5 years The debit aint too shabby either ;-) The whole time this discussion was going on I was all like, they were with Melodicrock Records at the start, weren't they? yep, Andrew believed in them, and thank God. I love the last 2 albums, and the debut is very solid indeed. Great live band as well. Maybe he'll get those guys across for the Aussie fest ???!!!
  20. Nah, it's not rated any higher for sentiment... but I may rate the songs higher than others because I just have actually loved these songs for so long. It's not sentiment... just a genuine long standing adoration for these songs. I agree, though, that the title track is easily the worst song on the album. Why on earth do bands name albums after the weakest song on there??? Steelhouse Lane - Slaves of the New World ;-)
  21. I gave Wicked Sensation 78% There are 5 great songs on that imo - the first 3, plus tracks 9 & 10. It suffers badly in the middle (tracks 6,7,8 in particular) which is a bit of a let down after the strong start

  23. How far is Melbourne from Sydney (is that where u are)? For Firefest we travel about 200 miles. Stay overnight obviously.
  24. Just to add as well that 'Livin Under The Gun' is probably in my top 20 songs of 1989. Classic rocker.
