Pretty much my thoughts too. Never really like this band and only checked them out to begin with because I love the far-superior Nightwish, but this one is definitely a keeper IMO.

[the first part of this album is excellent with at least 3 or 4 gems, but the second half (bar maybe 1 or 2) is pretty woeful....seems to lose all touch of melody, and gets a bit boring truth be told. Not a patch on the excellent Gods Equation IMO]

For some reason some of the diehards didn't care for the big progressive style of this album but for me almost every song is amazing and memorable.

It took me a few listens before I "got it". I love that album, but it didn't grab me at first.
