"Curious Intentions" - Bad 4 Good

It's hard to beleive that a 16 year old wrote the lyrics to this song. Great stuff IMO.

'Nothing great about a heartache' is pretty much the most played song on my Ipod when it shuffles. Not that I mind... what a song!!!

Dude that whole album is just killer and to think it was just 13-16 yearolds playing on that.

Danny Cooksey could flat out sing and the other kids could play the hell out of their instuments.

"Slow and Beautiful" is one of the most beautiful(no pun intended)songs I've ever heard.

Yeah, incredibly well played for their age. I always loved 'Heartache' and the title track most.

Title track? The album was called "Refugee" but didn't have a song by that name.

Unless it was an import bonus track or something.

Maybe your thinking of the lead single and cover "Nineteen".

Wow, I'm having a really off day today. After your post I had it in my head that the album was called 'Curious Intentions' for whatever reason. And that is the other song I refer too. I think I best go to bed soon. :(

"I'm Ugly And I Don't Know Why" - Betty Blowtorch

Some of the funniest damn lyrics ever written...

"You're ugly, what the fuck did they do to you?

You're ugly, and I bet your Mom is too

You're ugly -- Man, what's with that do?

You're ugly because you're ugly..."

:rofl2:

Hey, I have that same song by a band called Butt Trumpet.

Did some research.

Butt Trumpet was a Los Angeles punk band that was known more for its crass lyrics and deliberately offensive style than its music. The group featured two bassists among its members.[1] They became famous in 1994 when their Chrysalis Records debut Primitive Enema was nearly banned from sale in a Massachusetts town after one mother heard her 12-year-old daughter listening to Primitive Enema, which she called "audio porn."[2] Dan Druff played in the group briefly in 1995. The group splintered soon after their major-label debut, Primitive Enema was released, but three of the members regrouped in 1998 as Betty Blowtorch.[3]

Yep, you're right, I had heard about the Butt Trumpet/Betty Blowtorch connection years back but have never heard B.T. Sounds like "Audio Porn" would be a good way to describe both bands. Betty Blowtorch was an all female band and the album that "I'm Ugly..." comes from ("Are You Man Enough?") contains such tender feminist anthems as "Shut Up and F**k," "Rock N Roll 69," "Part Time Hooker," and "Size Queen" (which features a brief guest vocal by Vanilla Ice, of all creatures!) -- absolutely hilarious, kick ass album. Sadly, the band is no more, as lead vocalist Bianca Butthole (!) was killed in an auto accident five or six years ago.

No I think he's just stuck with his Silent Force project.

I enjoy Silent Force but I liked his solo album more.
