That's awesome to hear that about Poley. I never knew he was that highly regarded. I only hope I get to experience it one day. :(

Yep, I saw Ted Poley live last year and he put up a helluva show ! :beerbang:

But I still say that JSS and Steve Lee (Gotthard) are more fascinating !! :banger:

How the hell did Kip Winger and Danny Vaughn get into this list???

Hands down it is David Lee Roth (which is hard to say for me with Vince Neil in the list).

Cant really vote in this poll as all of my choices are missing!

Of the ones ive actually seen my top 5 would be (in no order) -

Bruce Dickinson

Freddie Mercury

Axyl Rose

Ted Poley

Jeff Scott Soto

But for me the glaring omission, although I never got to see him is

BON SCOTT

From the scant footage ive seen he had a stage presence like no other.

Cheers

Backed on the JSS and Poley. In fact, JSS is probably the best both vocally & from an entertainment perspective that I've ever seen (and I saw DLR/Coverdale etc, all in their prime)....

Poley is a ball of energy on stage and dead funny to boot.

Agreed about Winger, he is a damp squib on stage.......but have you actually seen Vaughan live?? the guy is a powerhouse and one of the most dynamic frontmen ive seen.

Danny Vaughn? Crazy choices for 'Dynamic Frontmen'

I'll ask the question again! Have you actually seen him live??

Ive been to way over 250 gigs in my time and seen numerous frontmen going right back to 1983 and he's one of the best ive seen.

In terms of stage presence and voice.

Yes. Have seen live and unplugged. But did not see any dynamics. Rather boring... to me anyway.

Went for Coverdale, good showman and like his music more than most of these. Can't stand DLR (good frontman, just dislike the guy).

Of those listed I opted for DLR. Jumpin' all over the place, doin' splits (gotta wonder if he still can do 'em now, tho ) & keepin' the fans pumped full of energy, too. Coverdale would be a close second.

Some that are more than qualified, imho.

Dennis DeYoung

Ozzy Osbourne

Ian Gillan

RJD

Paul Rodgers

Robert Plant

Jim Morrison

Ted Nugent

Ian Anderson

Steven Tyler

Klaus Meine

Phil Lynott

Kelly Hansen
