I really love these two.

The debut is a killer and was always on high rotation, but they went up a notch with the follow up.

Janet Gardner's vocals are just so easy to listen to and perfect for this AOR/ "Poppy"Hard Rock.

"How Much Love" is perfection and "Love is a Killer" is, well......a Killer!

You're right. As far as I'm concerned, there's just the first two. I wouldn't bother with the later stuff.

Yeah, there's only two "proper" Vixen albums. I love most of both of them... but there are fillers on both. But when they're good they're awesome. Second one was definitely a big step up in all regards. Good band in the day.

Agree with everyone’s comments here. The first two albums are the only ones you need. If I’m not mistaken, they brought Richard Marx in on the first album to write Edge of a Broken Heart to help get them that radio hit. I think they had more freedom on the second album.

Have to agree with the majority - First 2 are the only 2 worth having. Rev It Up is their best for me but both releases have a couple of average tracks. But when it’s good it’s good. Have to say I prefer the Vixen version of ‘Cryin’ over Jeff Paris.

New album out this year with Lorraine Lewis on vocals.

No Janet, no Jan, no Vixen.

As much as I will still check it out... I hear you. 100%.

Yeah, I'll definitely check it out and it may very well be great. I just read about it on Blabbermouth and it sounds cool, but...It's that old question again of why they wouldn't just start a new project.

Good luck to Roxy and Share. It's great that they are recording again, but it's not "Vixen".

I know it's an established "brand", but whenever this happens it's an obvious cash grab.

I agree that Vixen's version of 'Cryin' is better.

What the actual?? I hadn't heard the Lorraine Lewis new and find that absolutely ridiculous. I will check it out and it sounds like a cool collaboration, but that's just offensive to call it Vixen. :(

When Janet came to Australia with her better half. She refuse sign Vixen CDs, telling people " That's my past, I have on ! "

lol, then why'd she sing a whole stack of Vixen songs? ;)

I saw her when she was out here too and it was a cool set, but I had no idea about the hostility between her and Vixen.

I posted this in another thread, but I may as well post it here.

It's a shame, but I can kind of understand Janet's hostility. According to this video and indeed from the girl's themselves regarding the birth of Vixen, It was Janet's baby from the start and she recruited all of them.
