JC_AOR
Cool, yeah I've got a bunch of mags in pdf but they're mostly German hard rock / glam mags so I can't read a word of it. Cool pics though. I also have some AOR fanzine type things that I'm scanning at the moment. Would be really cool to get some of the mags you mentioned like LA Rocks, Screamer etc scanned in pdf. I would do it myself if I had the mags. Years ago I remember seeing stacks of these old mags in a 2nd hand vinyl shop which has now closed down. Wish I had picked them up. gener8tr
These are all fantastic, so thanks to everyone for sharing! I think I mentioned this a while back, but can't remember for sure... A good friend of mine and myself go to local estate sales from time-to-time and stumbled into Vinnie Chas' (Pretty Boy Floyd) house a few years ago after he had passed away (I had no idea he lived in my hometown of Vancouver, Washington). Anyway, you should have seen all of the PBF swag. THOUSANDS of magazines, pin-ups, promotional stuff, etc. IT... WAS... AWESOME. Unfortunately, the estate sale company thought PBF was as big as the Beatles because they were asking stupid prices for stuff. I grabbed a few old SoCal area mags, but nothing mind-boggling. I mean they were asking like $7.00 for a standard 1993 Hit Parader and even more for what looked-like photocopied hand-bills, etc. And there were THOUSANDS of these things. Everytime PBF was mentioned in a mag, Vinnie purchased triplicates, and sometimes more... Believe me, I saw them! However (and this is a 100% true story, I SWEAR)... my buddy found Vinnie's "Little Black Book." Basically it was a small leather-bound daily planner sort of thing, and it was LOADED with names and telephone numbers of hundreds of people all of us here would recognize. He inquired about the price, but they snatched it and stated they could not sell it to him (understandedly). Not like we were going to actually get Nikki Sixx on the other end of the phone when we dialed his telephone number from 1991, but it would have been a really cool collectible just to have... Not only did it have names and numbers, but gig dates, notes, doodles, lyrics, etc. Really cool. I only hope it ended-up with someone in Vinnie's family, or with one of the other dudes from PBF. Hate to think it was just thrown-out with the trash... My buddy did come away with a few concert VHS tapes that looked to have been recorded right next to the stage with a hand-held device back in the day (including one from Motley circa 1990). Lots of other bands I'd never heard of. We probably should have bought them all and went through them just in case there was anything really interesting, but they wanted $5.00 per tape and I had no idea what was on any of them for certain. Boxes and boxes! If I could go back in time I'd certainly have made an offer on the entire lot. I'm guessing had I offered $200.00 for all 500 tapes I'd have walked out of there with them all on Sunday afternoon... But who knows what was on those tapes? Maybe the very first PBF show... or maybe a bunch of M*A*S*H re-runs.

Geoff
Saving a cool thread... This one is from my collection and yes it is really autographed. Very cool thread I somehow, amazingly, never noticed. I just can't get over how ungay this poster is.
Geoff
So who here knows of, or has heard of Sister Shotgun? Anyone got some flyers or promo shots for them, or better yet, any word at all on how they sounded?
