I don't think so

I didn't think so either, but the OP wrote "Jack in the Box/Steel Panther" in the thread title so I thought maybe he knew some scoop that the rest of us don't.

I reckon one of them must be from panther - the sound is just too close to theirs

Sorry for the confusion I wrote steel Panther as I thought it was very similar in execution.

I agree its amazing how a simple parody commercial can sound BETTER than 80% of the actual bands releasing music.

It has the production, the hook, the melody, the chorus!

I also want a MEAT RIOT shirt!

Glad you guys enjoyed.

If anyone can find out info on who the actual guys / band are that recorded this please let me know!

Why is it other bands cannot write music that sounds as good as this? Awesome sounding melodic hard rock.

Yes!

Unfortunately they don't seem to be available in 2XL, which leaves me out (I'm either too damn tall or too damn fat, take your pick!) :(

Woot! :woot: I'm pretty sure that wasn't there yesterday! They must've added it due to public outcry :D

Makes sense, considering that they're a fast food joint, therefore most of their customers probably need the, ahem, extra "room"

    • I'd be the same as yourself with Maiden , after Somewhere In Time I picked up No Prayer For The Dying because they were actually coming to play Belfast for the first time in years on that tour...last one I bought was Fear Of The Dark and havent really gave them the time of day since, so as for change of sound I have no form of reference.
    • So as I've mentioned before, I'm in a period where I get to churn through a huge amount of albums that I've accumulated over the last few years and have banked up due to me being pretty busy. Been traveling a lot, and when I'm home, I've been walking to work and back (40 mins each way) so have had heaps of time to get through the music. So I've made it through over 50 albums in the last 6 months, and now I have only 9 left in my spotify. They are the ones I've put off as they are take a lot of listen to get into and include Revolution Saints, Jeff Scott Soto, Iron Maiden and Asking Alexandria (not sure why that one is on my list) So today I put Maiden on. Book Of Souls. I've moved away from Maiden for years now, last great album was Somewhere In Time for me, after that they got boring. So I'm listening to Book Of Sould for the second time, and jesus, not sure what happened to them. Are they classed as prog now? They sound like it. Only ones that have provided any hope of being any good are Tears Of A Clown, Elpire Of The Coulds, and Shadows Of The Valley (which has hope only really because of teh Wasted Years vibe) So wondering if they have gradually been changing, and I'm dropping back in to a prog Maiden, or maybe they just don't wrioote hooky, melodic, catchy songs any more?
