French Melodic Hard-Rock band SHANNON needs your help! They've launched an Oocto campaign (similar system than KickStarter) to get money to release their new opus Circus Of Lost Souls!

You've different offers. Each offer gives you different packages/things in addition to the album Circus Of Lost Souls. For example, for 10€, you get the opus plus a "thank you" on FB page For 37€, you get the complete discography of the band, et cetera.

Still haven't been able to make my mind up about this band through the years. Some pretty good stuff, a few great tunes, but a lot of fillers too. That new songs definitely sounds impressive, though. Love it.

New song revealed, "Small Town Boy":

That's a good one too. Not perfect, but I like it.

Actually I prefer the original version from 1984 by Bronski Beat. This song is a classic from the eighties. Just the time when I got really interested in music...

Sorry but the new version can't match the original. In fact no way near.

Haha, some definite cheese there in the filmclip, but a very nice hard rock song. Love the riffage, and yeah... good song.

This album is actually pretty good and could have been great if only the vocal isn't accented and some of the weaker songs were improved. Half of this album is > 8 materials such as 'Ride To Live', 'Dust To Dust', 'Let's Make Rock' [weird pick for the title], 'Kick It Down' [nice riffs!], and 'I Don't Need You Anymore', but the rest are struggling at around 7, such as 'Halfway To Heaven', 'Can't Stop The Rain', or 'Drive Me Crazy'.

Overall, the style is melodic hard rock, but I can spot a little hint of euro metal. Production is good enough and musicianship is at 7/10, probably because of the vocal which I'm not a big fan of. Replay value is relatively high because at least there's nothing below 7 here and the variation is pretty nice. Only couple of ballads and 'In Your Eyes' is the better track but strangely, this is the most obvious track with accent problem you'll hear. The Smalltown Boy cover didn't do much for me, but at least it's better than the 3 weaker tracks I mentioned. I guess this one's a good album, could grow more, but not sure if it'll spike above 80%.

Vocals have never been the strong point for this band, but that aside I was really impressed with this album. By miles, this is there most consistent and best effort so far. Haven't got a score for it yet, but I really thought it was quite great.

I agree, their best so far.

Sounds pretty good, although I'm not keen on all the songs (e.g. 'Don't Get Me Wrong' and 'In Your Eyes' do nothing for me at all).

I really like 'Ride To Live', 'Death On The Run' and 'Dust To Dust', so I'll end getting a few of these tracks from iTunes.
