Okay doods, I'll be frank. Hi, I'm Frank. I hate wrestling. I really do. To each their own, but I don't understand it's appeal. I think I'd actually prefer to watch soccer. Similar sports in that they're both centered around theatrics and such nonsense, but I think I found out last week why you guys do like wrestling. I'm sitting there innocently watching 'The Footy Show' (an Aussie footy show) and a segment comes up where they bring in a couple of guests. I hear they're bringing in wrestlers from the US so I get up to go brush my teeth, urinate and all that jive before heading to bed. Well, WHOOSHKA! was my attention manhandled like a crocodile's jaw on a ballsack and brought back to the TV screen as this walked onto my screen:

 

 

Going by the name of Kelly Kelly, she single-handedly made it the finest next 10 minutes of TV viewing I recall in recent times. What a deadset stunner. Why have you creeps kept this from the masses?

As for Wrestling..........i used to watch it when I was about 8. Its officially not a sport anymore anyway - they made that decision themselves for tax reasons.

Stacy worked for WCW back in the late 90's/early 00s and then WWE for a few years once they bought the company.

Not really a wrestler, more of a valet/mamanger (think Miss Elizabeth) although she did have a few matches here and there (usually bra and panties matches, or pillow fights).

She left some years back and has since done stuff like Dancing with the stars etc.

 

 

To be honest, there has been a string of hot chicks in wrestling, which should come as no surprise as the male wrestlers are also generally picked on their look as well (whether that be that they look good or look big).

 

The comment above "We're not gay! Really! Look, here's some hot girls!", while obviously meant as a joke, is one of the most annoyingly cliched comments you hear as a wrestling fan. I have friends who are wrestlers, and I have even trained with a current WWE superstar, and I can tell you that there is fuck all gay about being slammed into a mat or thrown off a ladder etc.

Also, it may not be a sport in the traditional sense of the word being that its scripted, but those guys put their bodies through shit that most sportsmen would only have nightmares about.

 

For instance, if you think that those ropes are nice and springy, well you should try running into them. While they have a lot of give, its still like running into a steel bar.

You ain't shittin' there! There have been a lot of examples of crazy behavior after suffering an injury (finishing matches/wrestling with concussions, HHH wrestling with a quad rolled up like a window shade (completely off the bone), guys blading and accidentally opening a gusher/losing a lot of blood.

 

But I'll be damned if the craziest thing I've ever seen isn't from Sabu and Terry Funk's no rope/barbed wire match from Born to Be Wired. Sabu launching himself toward the turnbuckle, Funk moving, and Sabu ripping a gash down his bicep. After screaming in pain for a second, he turns to Fonzie and asks him to go get him some tape. The crazy bastard proceeds to tape up his arm while the Funker is kicking at him and finishes the match. (Also, after the pinfall, both men being entwined in barbed wire and tangled together and needing to be cut free.)

 

There will never be anything like ECW. There's some crazy shit over in Japan and I'm sure elsewhere here in the States, or anywhere, but ECW was lightning in a bottle.

I kinda put pro wrestling in the same category as "Star Trek" -- either you "get it" or you don't. Obviously, I don't.

 

Just for the record, tho, I got into a fight with a guy who was on the wrestling team when I was in high school (Thankfully I happened to get in a lucky shot that broke his nose -- not bragging, just sayin') and woooo, let me tell you, he did NOT like it when I sez "So you like rolling around on the floor with other guys, huh?"
