Ha! I just watched the preview (in mute) and two things:

1. Looks absolutely dreadful.

2. What's up with the amount of gore shown in the trailer? Is that a made-for-internet trailer? It's not the official one, is it? That was pretty hardcore as far as trailers go.

And awful.

I've got a feeling Freddy's gonna want to see this one.

 You know me too well.

Love the old-school '70s style poster art, and Rutger Hauer is always fun to watch even when the movie he's in sucks. Hell yeah, I'd watch this.

According to IMDb, this flick is a spin-off from Tarantino/Rodriguez's "Grindhouse" from a few years ago, like "Machete" it was originally one of the "fake trailers" shown in between "Planet Terror" and "Death Proof" during that film... which reminds me, I still have to get hold of a copy of "Grindhouse" dammit! I've been dyin' to see that one but haven't gotten around to it!!

I believe I watched Grindhouse opening night. I knew it wasn't a good sign when the theater was only 2/3rds full. I thought it was an interesting movie. Planet Terror was the best part. Death Proof started off kind of cool, but quickly faded. The fake movie trailers were the best part, although some of them were just wrong. I'm surprised that no one is talking about Drive Angry. That movie is in the same arena as Grindhouse.

I saw this a couple months ago when it hit pay per view. It's kind of a one-time watch, but it's pretty funny in parts and downright gory pretty much the whole way through.

Yeah it's so bad it's good. I love the beginning with the guy that plays Ricky from the Trailer Park Boys series. That guy cracks me up anyway and to see what happens to him (he's the guy in the manhole) is hilarious.

    • Eclipse played that same game when Apocalypse Blues came out.  They dropped that song as just a single and made no mention of an album at that point as far as I remember.  All they were doing was selling the 7 inch vinyl.  We know now though that they clearly knew a full album was coming as Erik said they basically were working on both albums at the same time and deciding which tracks would go on each album.  Granted, maybe they didn't know the full timing of album #2 at that point but they certainly knew one was coming. Maybe the same here.  Maybe will trickle out a few songs and then announce an album later this year or early next year when it's closer to release.
    • So, Danny posted how the song is doing on Spotify and someone asked if this means a new album soon. Danny just made vague replies and said "well there will be more stuff coming soon"
    • Funnily enough, I read that this afternoon when I went to add the album to my collection on the main page. I got the European version which has two bonus tracks ... if you don't have them, you really aint missing anything

    • Created and Posted this video recently in order to promote Ryder SRIII a little more.  I love this song, one of my personal favs from the record.   Be careful viewing at work though (NSFW), just for a couple of images in the video.
    • Named my HH self after the song Auslander on the album Stain. Love that track. Really like the whole album. It's like Living Colour's "Slave to the Grind" or "Dog Eat Dog".

Brothers Johnny and Donnie Van Zant (respectively current lead vocalist of Southern Rock icons Lynyrd Skynyrd and founding member of .38 Special) were able to find room in their busy schedules for the first time in 1998, recording their collaboration album “Brother to Brother”: a tribute to their late brother and Lynyrd Skynyrd original singer and founding member Ronnie. Such release was highly acclaimed between the press and fans worldwide and brought the duo to record a follow up album, simply entitled “II” in 2001. Their collaboration during the years did not stop as they tapped their feet in a more Country-oriented style with the release of “Get Right With the Man” (certified Gold in the USA in 2005) and later on with “My Kind of Country” in 2007. Now the brothers once again reinvent themselves, offering a Christian-themed album encompassing their Rock and Blues musical roots (and with a touch of Country for good measure). The result “Always Look Up” is made up of songs that will touch the listener’s heart and soul, with an emotional depth that is truly second to none in today’s musical landscape. Experience the soul touching that only the music from the Van Zant family, can provide. You will see why they are icons of the American South, and musical heroes to millions around the globe!
