Hope it's better than that wretched Ramones tribute that Kristy "Krash" Majors put out on his own a few years back :puke:

I dunno what is going on with PBF these days.

Last time I saw them was probably two years ago, and they said they had a covers album coming out that was already recorded (they had a 3 track sampler from it available at the gig) and that a new studio album was due last year, but neither surfaced.

Now there is a Kiss tribute as well?

That's OK... Gene has just announced that next year KISS is releasing a tribute to Pretty Boy Floyd. The release will contain 14 tracks that span the career of PBF. :headbanger:

Well, I guess when ya can't get Ariel to write any more songs for you, you have to do SOMETHING. I mean ... uhhh ...

Yeah, these guys are shitting me too. The best we've got from them since 'Leather boyz' is the dodgy Perris release of 'Tonight belongs to the young' and also 'Porn Stars', which was excellent, but let's face it, it was 70% new versions of songs already on their debut. Aside from that you have the totally shithouse 'Size really does matter' (Is this really the best they can do?) and a few EPs. Seriously, do they have nothing to offer without Ariel Stiles?

I'd love to see the 3 discs worth of demos after the debut I have lying around get polished and released properly. And that means a better version of 'Tonight belongs to the young' too, which was about as good a sound quality as the demos I have.

As for the KISS covers, I vomit in my mouth and spit it on the CD.

Well the album is what it is really.

The songs really arent anything new in the way they are performed, they just sound like the originals with Steve on vocals.

That said, its not a bad combination as I am a huge fan of PBF and really like Kiss.

As for the above comments. Well its all a matter of taste, but give me Size really does matter over most other so called glam acts that get ranted and raved about on here.

For my money, the reason there hasnt been a new album is the instability of the line up since the reunion of the Leather boyz line up, and the fact the Kristy and Steve seem to be working on too many other projects etc.

    • Is it still just the original drummer? The dude who has said how much he disliked when the band went in a more melodic direction?    It’s solid metal, very cool music. But no hooks or notable choruses sadly makes it pretty easy to pass on.
    • New song 'Artificial Minds'.
    • New song 'Hurricane'.
    • Fear the Force = Ten

Featuring their two Music For Nations albums, ‘Young And Crazy’ and ‘Bezerk’. Plus singles, rarities and live cuts. Forming in Cardiff in Wales in the mid-1980s, with Steevi Jaimz on vocals, Jay Pepper on lead guitar, Pepsi Tate on bass and Ace Finchum on drums Tigertailz recorded their snotty and street smart debut ‘Young And Crazy’ in 1987. Signing to influential heavy metal label, Music For Nations (Metallica, RATT), their first record is considered a classic of 1980s British glam and hair metal. As Wales’s answer to Mötley Crüe, through songs such as ‘Shoot To Kill’ and ‘Livin' Without You’, they found fans in the pages of Kerrang! and Sounds, the most influential rock and metal magazines of the time. The band found commercial success with the more radio friendly and commercially orientated ‘Bezerk’ in 1990, propelled into the Top 40 album charts by the single ‘Heaven’, plus the bubblegum classic ‘Love Bomb Baby’, a song that has become their calling card. Produced by Chris Tsangarides, the main change in the band for ‘Bezerk’ was Kim Hooker replacing original singer Steevi Jaimz on vocals. No slouches when it came to releasing singles and EPs, CD3 of this three disc set is a treasure trove of rarities and non-album cuts, kicking off with the ‘Shoot To Kill' EP, plus live versions of ‘Nine Livez’ and ‘She'z Too Hot’. Jump to December 2022 and a new dawn arose for Tigertailz, including a shows with Steel Panther, plus brand new singles. ‘Love Bomb Baby’ reignited interest in the band when it was used by famed Hollywood director James Gunn in his Peacemaker TV series for HBO. The band continues to show their diversity with their latest releases in 2024, ‘A Little Bit Of Rock’, proving there's more than just hairspray and eyeliner to these Welsh maniacs!
    • I have submitted all three albums anyway. The debut really is just modern rock. The second album I feel is the heaviest but still melodic enough. The third album though I think is the perfect middle ground.
