Alter Bridge>Creed.

With that being said I'll still buy the new disc since Tremonti rules.

Just played the single "Overcome" and I have say that it rocks.

Yeah but it would be better with Kennedy singing!

Or Kermit the frog.

As I said in the other thread, this is a surprisingly good song, but it's still given me no desire to actually check out the album. I just plain and simply don't like these guys at all. Or Alter Bridge. Not my thing at all.

Honestly, put one of the poofters from that band on the microphone for Creed and you might have something worthwhile. :)

Both Alter Bridge albums are miles better than Creed.

Kennedy is a much better singer than Strapp...........why Tremonti went back to the Creed set up is beyond me. Cash orientated no doubt.

Oh I totally agree about Alter Bridge and yes the Creed reunion had to be a cash grab.

Even though Alter Bridge has many diehard fans and have critically aclaimed they just can't sell any records for some reason so it was inevitable that the Creed thing would happen again.

Creed was a band I always disliked, mainly because of Stapp and his Eddie Vedder rip off vocals (and yes, I cant stand Vedder either).

I was so glad when they didnt take off over here.

Alterbridge were not a band I was excited enought to buy any of their albums, but the few songs I have heard by them, are far superior to anything produced by Creed...ever!

Fucking awful band.

nooooooooo! his voice is too accentuated and he is trying too hard to be angry or vicious or something. I'm not sure what :P

I saw them years ago in concert, only because a friend paid for me to go, because no one else would go with her (same with matchbox 20)

From memory Stapp has a certain stage charisma in his white sweaty singlet-tank-top thing, so wasn't as hideous as I expected but yeah, this one still sounds like, well, Creed uggghhhh

Heard this track on the radio a couple of times lately... meh. Neither good nor bad really. Just "there."

On another note, I know I'm getting old now because all the bands from the 90s that I didn't really give a sh*t about during their first go-round are now getting on the "reunion" bandwagon!

I am in the minority here in the thought that I do like Creed. Very talented band. Stapp is a Vedder rip-off but he does do it well. And yes I like Vedder too. That said, Alter Bridge was better. But I do like Creed and I like this track. :headbanger:

    • Kind of where I'm at too.  I like a few tunes here and songs are okay but alot of the songs sort of feel samey.  I think I've put 3 songs in my playlist from it.
    • I'm with you and think it might be similar for me. I always loved H.E.A.T with Erik and was pretty much a Kenny basher as I wasn't a fan of those first 2 albums at all.  I had very low expectations and really didn't think I'd care much for new music with Kenny.  Anyways, I've slowly come around on Kenny as the singles were released and I'm enjoying the new album.  Yeah, it's not exciting me quite as much as the Gronwall albums did but Kenny sounds excellent to my ears and I'm having no issues with sound or production.  Just sounds like some good melodic hard rock to me.
    • Yeah, at the moment he's the only option for me here. A few guys I'm not really interested in and although EM was everywhere a few years ago, he definitely appears to have settled down recently. If anything, wouldn't mind seeing his name pop up a little more these days, though it's fine as is.
    • I've been a bit let down by recent albums but the genuine anticipation I feel for new material from these guys means they must have done something right through the years. Would absolutely love it if they unexpectedly hit another homerun.
    • Classless Act - Welcome to the Show Out of This World - Out of This World Within Temptation - The Unforgiving  The Black Sorrows - The Chosen Ones Horsehead - Onism i-TEN - Taking a Cold Look (Rock Candy remaster) Touch - Touch (Rock Candy remaster) Spys - Spys/Behind Enemy Lines (Renaissance double album reissue)

    • Another greatest hits album! And even worse, live greatest hits: JACKYL : 30 Coming In Hot +3 New Tracks (2022) BY BANNED WEBSITE · PUBLISHED AUGUST 13, 2022   When many classic hard rock-related acts from their generation succumbed to trends, JACKYL has been strong & healthy for more than 3 decades. Now 2022 JACKYL are celebrating the 30th anniversary of their platinum debut album with the release of a new best-of collection titled ”30 Coming In Hot”. There has been a ‘best of’ from the band some years ago but this one is different: ”30 Coming In Hot” includes their best songs this time performed live, where they truly showcase their power, plus 3 brand new studio tracks. JACKYL earned two Guinness Book of World Records citations and the designation “The Hardest Working Band in Rock ‘N’ Roll” for performing 100 shows in 50 days as well as 21 shows in 24 hours. Yeah, JACKYL born to play live, and ”30 Coming In Hot” is really ‘hot’ indeed. Very well recorded, mixed & produced, the set is very, very good and entertaining, and you have 3 new songs to enjoy as well. Highly Recommended   01 – Another Round (New Studio Track) 02 – Get All Up in It (New Studio Track) 03 – Bad Decision (New Studio Track) 04 – Blastoff (Live) 05 – My Moonshine Kicks Your Cocaine’s Ass (Live) 06 – Encore (Live) 07 – Screwdriver (Live) 08 – Down On Me (Live) 09 – Push Comes to Shove (Live) 10 – Just Because I’m Drunk (Don’t Mean You’re Right) (Live) 11 – Secret of the Bottle (Live) 12 – I Stand Alone (Live) 13 – When Will it Rain (Live) 14 – Dirty Little Mind (Live) 15 – Redneck Punk (Live) 16 – Cut the Crap (Live) 17 – The Lumberjack (Live) Jesse James Dupree – Vocals, Guitar Jeff Worley – Guitar Chris Worley – Drums, Percussion Roman Glick – Bass   BUY www.amazon.com/Jackyl-30-Coming-Hot/dp/B0B5N9T45Y
    • I have no real opinion on the band's schtick. I do have an opinion on their earlier albums - they contained a lot of good songs. The last few... not so. Hope they can pull something out here but expectations aren't high
