Swazi
Shit ! Totally confusing ! At least for starters. What bugs me the most is that they don't seem to ship to Europe without jewel cases anymore. I placed 2 CD's into the cart and they want to charge me 9.84$ shipping cost. F..K !! I have also not seen any of those rebates when you order more of the same CD (buy 2 and you get 10% off ...). So far I don't like it at all ! Captain Howdy
Not sure about anything else, but just checking out the Cherry Suede CD, and it has a 20% off if you buy more than one copy.
Nick C
I was there earlier, and I was searching for something and it was sending me all over the place. I clicked on an artist and it went back to the main page or a slightly retailored version of it again. Also I tried clicking on the links section in the hope of getting to the bands home page (they always used to have complimentary links for a chosen band) and again I ended up in some weird section of the site of absolutely no interest to me. Don't like it .... I wasn't keen on the previous one (but it was light years ahead of this ergonomically) - I much prefer the layout from the site about 3 years ago, nice, easy to navigate and search. It seems with each new design they take a step backwards.

Yeah, you're right about that one. I just saw it myself. Thanks ! I was there earlier, and I was searching for something and it was sending me all over the place. That wasn't the case previously either. You now have to put this CD onto your wishlist.
stormspell
The one funny thing is you can now click to preview as many samples as you want at the same time and listen to them simultaneously. I feel like DJ already Major drawback: identification when CD is a CDR is gone, BOOOO!
Nebuchadnezzar
Cdbaby started to OVERPRICE the shipping costs some time ago. very unreasonable especially for international transactions...

highvoltage
ha tried this place once but I will never use them again.. took them more than 3 months to send a Dirty Looks CD that I ordered from them. Sent a few emails asking where was it .. turns out they were out of stock, not that they bothered to answer my emails or explain.. just saw it on their site

cdjunky41
I used to buy from them a lot, but for some reasons I try and stay away. #1-They sell cdr's without notice. I bought one of a melodic rock band and it was a poor cdr live c.d. #2-They wanted me to give a review. When I ripped it apart, they didn't show my review. #3- they don't show you everything they have. I'm sick and tired of people claiming about a poor economy!!! That is crazy that they don't indicate what is a CD-R and what isn't anymore. But the stupid term ' "OFFICIAL" CD-R ' has clouded many minds now, leaving it open for anyone to claim a self-made low budget print job with CD-R is actually considered 'Official', a nice loophole for bootleggers. If a band self-made cassette tapes and handprinted labels, a fan would consider it a 'Demo.' I don't think music being on a CD-R should warrant anything being classed as 'Official'...more like 'Officially Cheap.'
Swazi
Now this is fuckin' ridiculous !! International shipping cost: CDs ..... sharatan
got it! "Sorry about that! Don't worry, order histories and wishlists will be coming back soon, completely intact. And yes, we still offer a 'NO PLASTIC' option, but right now (and this will change soon)you can't actually select it when you place the order. So do this: Go ahead and place the order like normal. Then IMMEDIATELY send us an email with your order number, telling us that you want "NO PLASTIC". We'll adjust the order on OUR end and issue a refund if necessary. I know that's kind of confusing and inconvenient, and I'm sorry about that. We're just still in the process of putting the pieces back together after switching to the new website. Thanks for bearing with us. -Pony cdbaby@cdbaby.com "

manicego
They also seem to have forgotten how to reply to eMails in a timely fashion, remove requested product by the date you tell them to and even pick up a phone. As of right now I have been waiting, listening to their "hold music" for close to 40 minutes ... Speaker phones are useful, might as well see how long it takes. Captain Howdy
Dunno bout everything else in their business, but it wouldnt surprise me if the phone problem isnt due to staff cutbacks in this current climate. I doubt they are a company that feels the answering the phone is where they make their money, so cutting back staff in that dept would probably be a no brainer. Sadly, that just means the few phone calls they had, that were handled by more people has now gone the other way, with lots more people phoning to ask questions about the changes, but now there are fewer people to answer the phones. Alternatively, it could just be because they didnt receive that many calls in the past, that they were always able to answer, but now lots more people are phoning to complain, and they just cant cope. I'm thinking they have one person answering a phone - but not today! I've called plenty of times in the past and have never had a problem. Now, when I NEED to speak with them, since they're causing me to have a problem with an artist, noone answers. I wouldn't "NEED" to speak with them if they'd respond to my eMails regarding the matter. But, that's not happening either ... The sale to Discmakers was a huge mistake and I called it from the start. COME BACK DEREK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
