Holidays etc for 2009

It`s already the middle of March, the weeks are flying by now!

 

Last year I went to a nice area called Norfolk, quite close to where Ian lives, didn`t bump into him though!

 

Does anyone have any holidays or trips planned for the forthcoming months ahead?

I think I said this last year, but my wife and I were hoping to get across to New Zealand for a North to South or vice versa drive. But it looks like mostly because of me this is just not going to be affordable. Other issue being, neither of us really want to be there in Winter so we've kind of missed our chance for the first half of the year. It's a shame because there are some really, really cheap deals going at the moment.

 

I'm having some severe holiday withdrawal symptoms, though.

Yeah, that's one thing I was thinking about Winter, or even Autumn over there... it would probably be super stunning for photography. But I imagine it would be all year round. I'd love to be able to go for a swim etc. while there.

Headed to NYC in a few for a concert and to run around the city for a day.

 

Beyond that, nothing of HUGE importance planned until probably June. But, hoping for a few good days here and there this summer. (Maybe a few amusement parks and head back to Toronto or somewhere new in Canada.)

As for me I have to go to Chicago and Iowa (Iowa????? What the fuck???) in a few weeks and NYC in June, which could possibly lead me to crashing Pete's party in NJ.

 

Vegas is in the cards too but fuck knows when. Shoulda been last week but nope.

Well, this one's come a bit from out of nowhere, but looks like my wife is keen for a holiday. If I had it my way, we'd currently be in tens of thousands of dollars of debt and be constant holidayers, but luckily my wife is the sensible one and it's been kept at a 'workable' level - well, for her anyway. My debts are still ridiculous.

 

I'm always ready to go, but now that she's keen too we're looking for some good deals. I am painfully in debt and I will really be hoping to sell some CDs or something soon, but I'm excited. If it happens. We'll see...

Yeah, I'd still love to go to Hawaii... but I always prefer the quite islands in places like that. From pictures I've seen, Honolulu looks like any big city, but on the beach. Still, would love to go there.

When I got married to my first wife, we went to Los Angeles for 6 nights, drove to Vegas for 4 nights - got married, flew over the Grand Canyon by Helicopter, flew to San Francisco for 4 nights(not by Helicopter ) went to Alcatrazz and Yosemite National Park, then flew to Honolulu for our honeymoon.

 

Thought it was nice, went to Pearl Harbour which was fantastic and very moving. Thought there were too many McDonalds around for my liking though, way too commercial for me, very attractive place
