Well, it's booked! Completely unaffordable, but booked. All things permitting, my wife and I are off to the Cook Islands in September this year. :)

Very nice mate

Where are the Cook Islands?

East of Australia - beyond New Zealand, beyond Fiji, beyond Samoa (though a little lower) and out right near Tahiti. People say the Cook Islands are as nice as Tahiti was 20 years ago, before commercialism.

Sounds like Paradise mate, can`t wait for the photos.

I went to Hawaii once, Oahu - Honolulu, very nice but too commercial for me, would rather of gone to Maui

Yeah, I'd still love to go to Hawaii... but I always prefer the quite islands in places like that. From pictures I've seen, Honolulu looks like any big city, but on the beach. Still, would love to go there. :)

Hope to get some good piccies in the Cook Islands too.

I went to Maui for my honeymoon

That's when I had some money and could actually afford holidays.

Too many kids to worry about now....love the littlun tho and cant wait for the next 2 to turn up

When I got married to my first wife, we went to Los Angeles for 6 nights, drove to Vegas for 4 nights - got married, flew over the Grand Canyon by Helicopter, flew to San Francisco for 4 nights(not by Helicopter  ) went to Alcatrazz and Yosemite National Park, then flew to Honolulu for our honeymoon.

Thought it was nice, went to Pearl Harbour which was fantastic and very moving. Thought there were too many McDonalds around for my liking though, way too commercial for me, very attractive place

Agreed with having money then and none now :crying:

Wow, nice mate. You adventure-seeker, you. ;) Seriously mate, sounds like a great honeymoon.

We did a similar thing.

Flew to San Francisco for 2 nights then on to Honalulu for 5 nights then onto Maui for 5 nights.

Then flew back to Las Vegas - flight over the Grand Canyon for a one night stay in the national park and back to Vegas for the last evening. 3 weeks in total.

 honeymoon = best holiday ever.

Well, seeing as the planned trip to The States has been cancelled for the time being, We may plan a break in the UK this year, as we haven't visited some of the great and beautiful places this country has to offer in a long long time. Devon and Cornwall I think is probabaly where we will end up and no bad thing in my book for a change.

From what I saw on those pics, sounds nice mate.

Backed. We went to Thailand for ours, and were there for almost 4 weeks - 3 different islands and 2 nights in Bangkok. Pure, unadulterated (though very adult-rated) freedom, joy and bliss. :) Not a care in the world.

I notice you Brits go to the US a lot. I guess with the conversion it's pretty affordable for you guys. Any of you ever go across to the Bahamas and Carribean and that sort of get-up? I notice the accomodation prices there are really cheap. In fact, with recent low airfares, if I had more coin I'd probably look into that again.
