UH-OH the undead of threads.

Old threads never die, they just smell that way.

Especially in Joisey?

Oh yeah. Didn't you know that NJ has a new state slogan?

"Kiss her where it smells - take her to New Jersey!"

I thought it was "Drink, Drive, Don't wear a seatbelt just like your governor".

AHHHHH the original nevermind....

You say that like you miss it Chris.

I did but I didn't want to be the one to raise it from the dead...

Dead? Don't you know that threads don't die around here, at least not with Geoff on the prowl.

Geoff's had some things on his mind lately. Hasn't been himself you know...

I admit I haven't been myself lately. I just did a small stint as a polar bear in the Samoan jungles. I thought I was pretty well received, but next time I think I'll try on my black mist costume instead.

I knew that when I saw this thread bumped that Geoff was back from his holiday.

This is probably the best post I've made. Ever.

I see this thread was brought back from the dead since I've been away. Good things never change.

It's Geoff's fault. :anon:

I keep saying that, but sadly my wife just doesn't buy it... :(

there is too much male bonding going on here for me -- kind of the quote from Remember The Titans when Sunshine plants a kiss on Gerry

(lol at me using the term "bags". I'm not sure our foreign partners will know this term. Would you say, "I call dibs on being the sausage in this hotdog"?)

    • I was curious so I used the old Google machine.
    • I think the difference between Collective Soul and a lot of those bands is that their music could have been played in the 80s on the radio right next to the bands that I grew up loving. It's funny because I got a digital press kit for Dosage because I was a top reviewer on Garage Band and it was all about how Collective Soul had kept rock n roll alive and it referred to them as active rock multiple times. That was the first and last time I heard the term.
    • For what it’s worth, here is Golden Robot’s official statement: STATEMENT FROM GOLDEN ROBOT RECORDS  IN REGARDS TO THE RELEASE OF RILEY'S L.A. GUNS 'THE DARK HORSE' ON VINYL AND CD We have been diligently working with our manufacturers to ensure that we deliver the highest quality product to the fans, especially to commemorate Steve Riley's final piece of work.   We didn’t want to make a public statement until the release date was iron clad and today, we are thrilled to announce that the CD and special edition vinyls will be fully prepared to ship and available for sale on August 16th, 2024.   We appreciate your patience and understanding during this time. Your support means the world to us, and we cannot wait to share this special release with you.   This is the second album Golden Robot Records has had the pleasure in releasing for Riley’s L.A. Guns, and we believe it to be their best work to date.   Thank you for your continued enthusiasm and support. 'The Dark Horse' is currently available to stream/buy on all digital platforms.   ——————/// Hopefully they follow through on this…
    • And Steve Maggioria has already bailed. Par for the course with Trev's bands.  I imagine these guys will be done before the years out and it'll be everyone else's fault just like TREV, ZFG, The Biotin Babies, What So Not, Cash Vertigo, Levara, and all the other bands Nepo Boy-Wonder has promoted on the strength of his Dad's name. (I'll let him off the bands that he was doing with Benjamin Presley Keogh and Andrew Hagar, he didn't cause those demises). It's a shame, as he's actually a great guitarist and songwriter, he just an insufferable tool and perpetual victim.  Wonder where he get's that from...
    • Mirror of the Man - Ugly Kid Joe
    • Endless Jam - Schenker Pattison Summit
    • "Mirror Mirror" by Def Leppard
    • There are few good eggs at Golden Robot. When I had bitch on their Facebook page about the new, then, Gilby Clarke album. I got a private message from them asking for my address and t shirt. Sure, enough in one week in my letter box was the new Gilby and tee promoting the company. And there no money exchange.   Message them recently about the new CD, the woman asked all my details message me back. They still waiting getting approval from the Riley estate.
    • PoL is my favorite Jettblack song, absolutely love it!
