  1. Thanks for sharing, it is interesting hearing his versions of those songs after First Signals, I enjoyed the songs and look forward to checking out more of his work
  2. I don't believe the band ever made an official video for Shy Boy, at least that I recall. I think that number 9 thumbnail for the video that is no longer available on youtube was a fan made video not an official video and Warner probably had it taken down for copyright purposes. I hope that helps with your question. If my recollection about Shy Boy having an official video is wrong, someone else might be able to help confirm things.
  3. Here a few tracks off the new album, Film Noir, from this modern alt rock band. I find their choruses to be rather catchy.
  4. I like it, I'd be interested in hearing more from them
  5. Great voice, I didn't know he released any solo albums, nice tunes
  6. Not sure how many people have heard of the female fronted hard rock band Beg Borrow & Steal formed by x-Preview drummer Ed Bettinelli and produced by Sir Arthur Payson. The album was recorded in the early '90's after the band was signed by RCA. There were some promo tapes issued, so there have been a few tracks floating around, but to my knowledge next weeks release will be the first time the whole album will be seeing an official release. I have two songs from those promo tapes below.
  7. I'll take another shot, how about the Dan Reed Network?
  8. Of all of them, that's the one that is not like the others? well, one of a few that I wouldn't associate with the others, the majority are hard rock or metal, so Kenny and Carol King didn't quite fit
  9. Although it seems an obvious choice, I'll use the which one of these is not like the others approach, and say Kenny Rodgers is someone you haven't seen in concert
  10. These guys have been around for just a couple of years. This is my favorite track from them so far, it has a very soulful, smooth sound.
  11. A few off their most recent album Back to Zero if you haven't already heard them...
  12. New song from these guys, sounds pretty good
  13. Warrant - Dirty Rotten Filthy Stinking Rich Dynazty - Sultans of Sin Dokken - Back for the Attack Hotwire - Face Another Day Mitch Malloy - S/T Pretty Maids - Spooked
  14. oh man, that was great stuff, especially the Off White Limousine track, thanks for posting
  15. That Carousel album was pretty good from what I recall, I am pretty sure I have it on cdr, hearing that song has me wanting to dig it out and give it a listen
  16. Never heard these before, I liked it, thanks for sharing
  17. I'll admit to being an idiot on this one as well. Great song, and I like both, but I prefer the Bonfire version.
  18. Interesting stuff, I didn't know the guys from No Doubt were still making music
  19. In my top 20 albums from 1992
  20. Thanks for posting, nice tunes, although I will admit my interest lessened a little as I went through each of them from Sick Again (my fave) to The Departure (liked the least)
  21. Agreed, some really good songs, of which I'd include the title track, but also a few that I usually skip when playing the cd
  22. Only listened to that first one, Let Down. It is catchy, but It sounds like the Jonas Brothers reunited and brought in a guitarist from a metal band to harden up their sound. I'll pass on these guys
  23. These guys are pretty cool. I recall hearing Wonderful Life a few years back and thinking it was a song from the '80's. While I tossed around different band names that I thought it sounded like, from that era, my friend just laughed and told me it was a new band (at that time). I've never picked any of their cds up, but I may have to check out more from them, good stuff.
  24. I remember seeing the video for Virtual Insanity after a few years of mostly depressing alternative and grunge being on the radio and thinking the 70's funk/disco style sounded fun, upbeat and refreshing. After my girlfriend, at the time, played it repeatedly I quickly tired of it. Had the post not mentioned these were new songs I'd have thought they were off that same album from back in 1996. Unfortunately nothing from this new one sounds as catchy as Virtual Insanity. Not bad for putting on at a party but probably wouldn't be something I'd listen to outside of that.
