  1. Some nice tunes amongst the ones you posted. Kind of reminiscent of an '80's alternative band. It isn't something I'd purchase on cd for myself, but I could see throwing it in the mix while streaming music, when I'm in the mood for something different
  2. Unfortunately the sample tracks from these guys didn't do much for me
  3. Valid point, it helped approaching it like that, similar to the new Warrant. I listened again and did like them a bit more, especially This is the Life. Not great by any means, but decent. The promotional write ups claiming it is similar to vintage '80's Great White does the band a disservice by further setting up an expectation about how it will sound.
  4. Good point, he did some of his best work with Mustaine and Ellefson, especially on Rust In Peace and Countdown
  5. Nice, I'm looking forward to hearing some new material from these guys as well
  6. I have Dragon's Kiss, Music For Speeding and Loudspeaker from Marty, but lost interest in his stuff starting with Future Addict. This lead track for the upcoming album sounds cool though
  7. Sounds more melodic than what I remember hearing from Wednesday or the Murderdolls in the past. I like the track What the Night Brings.
  8. The write up on this one sounds interesting. At first I thought the guy kneeling was actor Kevin Bacon.
  9. Solid tune in my opinion, and the recording sounds good for an indie release. It is cool to see a band stay in contact with each other despite the years and distance between them and put something together like this.
  10. I think you're right, I recall reading somewhere that it was supposed to be on the Frontiers label and the title was The Missing Peace. I'm hoping their renewed collaboration brings out the best in them and results in something as good as Waking the Dead
  11. A Simmons Records triple play today House of Lords - S/T Silent Rage - Don't Touch Me There Gypsy Rose - Prey
  12. I am fairly new to the forum, but I figured people were just bumping threads with topics that they had some interest in or questions about. I personally enjoy seeing some of the old comments since the discussions are new to me, but whenever I log on I first change my sort to Start Date of threads to check out the more recent posts
  13. Unfortunately I don't think it has been reissued on cd outside of that Retrospect Records version. Hopefully someone will consider giving it a proper release in the near future as I would be interested in getting a copy as well.
  14. Interesting, I didn't see many comments about the bands status on their page, but hopefully it is more than a one time reunion gig.
  15. I felt the same with this, well played, nice production, good singer, a solid album but lacked a couple killer tunes that would have pushed it over the top for me
  16. New one for me, not bad, a little mellower than I expected from the band photos, thanks for bumping the post and adding the tracks
  17. Sounds pretty solid I didn't realize it was Simon Daniels on vocals until I found another post of him doing One More Time solo acoustic just now, interesting project, too bad the album got shelved.
  18. I thought the last one was alright. The samples were rather short for this new one but I'll keep an eye out for a track or two on youtube
  19. From the band's facebook page: PAINFUL PRIDE was formed in 1983 in the underground metal scene of Sweden. Until 1987, when the band split up, they recorded few tunes that were never released, and from that moment and on, they got together occasionally just for some gigs (1988, 1999) since there was a fan-base from those who knew them. In 2009, PAINFUL PRIDE decided to record some more demos again, and in 2013 they returned in full-force with their best line-up to date and the decision to record (at last!) their first album. The debut album "Lost Memories" is released via No Remorse Records on February 17th, 2017.
  20. agreed, not horrible, but not what I'm expecting to hear when I put on a Great White album
  21. good memory, I remember them talking about playing a few shows to celebrate the anniversary of Shotgun's debut with Chris joining Zinny and Stixx, but I never heard much as to how the performances were though
  22. I really liked their first 3 albums, but his voice is really shot these days, what a shame they never found more success early on
  23. That is very sad news. He was a great songwriter and will be missed. Midnight Rider and I'm No Angel were probably my favorites of his.
