  1. Tom is falling down ala Peyton Manning these days and who can blame him at his age. No one will get a good lick on him anymore unless its a blindside and well we know what happens then. Penalties, ejections, fines... I will be watching of course. I do hope that Philly makes a go of it and they are my wishful thinking pic. Of course hoping the game is not a run away. But then again last year I thought Atlanta was on a run away and then the second half started. I will be singing this all day if I get my way!
  2. This one was a good one and the CD was high on everyone's wish lists for a time. I was lucky enough to find a couple, kept one traded the other off years ago. Enjoy these threads BTW.
  3. I love when you all cap on me. Makes me smile. Here are some vid's for the "made up" bands on my list. Some eclectic mixings of metal/modern/sleaze/rock and such came to my door last year and a HUGE thanks to all the bands that chatted with me when I harassed them about their music. Vice's vid came out in April of 16 but the "official" album came 1 year later in 17. Warning metal video. Thrash forward if you dare. Vince Voltages ballad posted below, he rocks like a demon but the disc has a handful of fluffy tunes that will appeal to everyone! If Wild Dogs fu#$ing Steel Panthers twists your knickers than say hello to my little FERETT! Lastly Shanghai Guns. This record came out real early in 17 even though the teasers started in mid 2015! Guess self issued discs take a while and my emails confirm the endless delays and what have you's. But this one is worth the wait and the investment as you can hear in this sample some very great AO/Hard Rock. (The video works even though you may see the tell tale tape image of a lost link).
  4. ABSOLUTELY ENAMORED BY JELLYFISH!!!!! Completely unforgotten in my world. WISH i could score some of the later issued comp stuff. If memory serves super pricey. Imperial Drag was a nice effort with some JF nods.
  5. I say it every year but for me the "list" is based on the albums that I physically received/bought/whatever. So, as everyone will always note the missing bands, but alas if I don't have it, physically, I don't bother with mp3 links, then it don't make the list. Carry on.
  6. I don't think so. I hate to say it. Of course the offensive and defensive coaches are on their way to head coach jobs and maybe big Tom will give up with 6 rings and being 40. Certainly monumental records to surpass.
  7. I and a fellow brother in arms hounded and scoured the internet and beyond forever and 10 days trying to locate material by the "band" Trikk Toyzz. This was a Simon Steele affair that can only be assumed thrown together for the Decline Of Western Civ Pt 2 movie. The 3 tracks in the movie didn't make the soundtrack and they are great. They can be heard in and around the Gazarri parts and if memory serves one of the songs is actually called the Gazaari Shuffle or strut? You can see the band and song titles mentioned in the credits of the film. We actually spoke to Penolope Spheeris at one point but she was very elusive and almost defensive when we questioned her about the songs.
  8. Recently bit the bullet on netflix and we have been binge watching: Stranger Things season 2 = good stuff. One time watcher only but lot's of 80's goodness in this series. 13 Reasons = this was surprisingly excellent. The topic extremely terse and depressing but well done. American Vandal (dumb as dumb but we had to watch as my daughter auditioned for season 2). The Ridiculous 6 = Adam Sandler film parody as you;d expect from him and his cast of usual's. The Babysitter = Good comedy horror and Bella Thorne if she were a president she would be Babraham Lincoln.
  9. You dicks. Certainly a shoot out for sure and the Steeler D got picked a part, but it was the 14 points on 2 costly turnovers that lost Pitt the game. 45 - 14 = 31. The officiating at least was loose and did NOT impact the game, thankfully. Worst call of the game and the one that ultimately lost Pitt the game was at their own hand in that onside kick at a little over 2 minutes left giving Jacksonville the short field and a 2 score lead. Even though they lost they played a hell of game and definitely some amazing catches and come backs to keep everyone watching throughout. That Saints Viking end was a "oh fucking shit my christ" finale! This was the only one I got right in predictions and the Saints almost made it 0 for 4 for me. Next week will be good games again, but I find myself against my better judgement routing for Jacksonville and Minnesota. For 2 reasons: the Patriots loss is a selfish one as that will end the dynasty and keep them away from the 6 rings that Pitt has and it would be epic if the Vikings could be the first team ever to host a super bowl and win at home. The way these 4 teams have played however it is anyone's guess... This graphic may have the outcome already predicted for us however, which was shown all weekend long during the games. Hell I can't find it after a long and arduous search. The graphic showed players from the various teams in the playoffs and ended with a Philly player and Tom Brady out in front of the other teams, I'm sure you all saw it.

  11. Shocking news from about a month ago, December 13th to be precise. Sanctuary and Nevermore singer Warrel Dane dies of a heart attack in Brazil. Shocking is an understatement. He was just in his 50's, now there is a laundry list of substance abuse rumblings but still... Got to meet Warrel and the Sanctuary band at a house party on Queen Anne in Seattle a couple hundred years ago in the late 80's. Great memory as a bunch of hair farmers, myself included consuming, chatting and doing our best (or not so) to wrangle some local talent... Good memory. Great singer. He will be missed. This is a nice little piece worth a watch.
  12. BABYMETAL Guitarist Mikio "Ko-Gami" Fujioka Dead At 36 After Falling Off An Observation Deck, The guitarists fell on December 30th and passed from related injuries on January 5th. I was unaware that he taught and had released texts teaching guitar. Makes sense however as from what I have seen his playing was quite competent. Quite obviously 36 is way to young. RIP
  13. Holy cow 2018 is brutal and it isn't even started yet. Sorry for the hijack and I am meaning to start threads but we also lost Sanctuary's Warrel Dane in mid December and that guitarist for Babymetal fell and died at 36 yo...
  14. Indeed love it and excellent to hear and as mentioned was chomping at the bit for a physical release after the handful of singles. Can;t wait great young band!
  15. Which would be fine, its whether Wests voice can still hang with his Serenade voice from the debut. Hell from either record would be fine as they both are 2 of my fave's. I'm in and ready to hear more.
  16. Hhhm only 2 original members. Shame as I LOVE Salty Dog. I actually started a thread here and shared the demo tape tunes (pre EDHID) with Mike Hannon a while back as he contacted me after seeing the post and wanted copies of that demo again. As mentioned some samples will need to be listened to prior to being to negative...
  17. From my wife's dogs perspective ALL crap is the nectar of the gods...
  18. Indeed and agreed. Shaguars caught yet another officiating break. But Buffalo didn't play well at all. As mentioned: Tennessee to NE Pitt will host the Jags Hotlanta in Philly And it looks like the Taints will go to Minnesota... Predictions: Titans over NE (fingers and toes crossed), Pitt over Jacksonville, Atlanta over Philly and Minnesota over the Saints.
  19. Yes indeed, poor Alex Smith, he just can't catch a break... Of course some game altering officiating in this one as well but I digress and I certainly would never have put any $$$ on the Titans. I did think Atlanta would win and they did of course. As for Sunday, I despise the Jaguars almost as much as the Bengals so its the Bills for me. And as for Carolina and the Taints neither team will go further than a win tomorrow so who cares? If I had to pick I would go Taints. Looks like there will be a battle of the birds in Philly next week, Falcons and Eagles are confirmed and I think even with Wentz the Falcons would win. TBD- who goes to NE, Pittsburgh and Minnesota.
  20. Power Love is a bloody perfect song period. Simply stunning. In The Name of Love also crushes, hell I enjoy the entire disc. I am glad I was afforded the opportunity to nab all 3 Lion CD's about 15 years ago. The original version of Power Love is just as good as the second variant. Here is the original version someone tried to sync up over the official vidja.
  21. Adverts are annoying and intentionally so to "grab" your attention. I like many others mute the tele when they come on and continually rant to the family that the adverts are for the things that you truly have no need for so that drives up the full court press to overload you. What is even more annoying than the adverts is the fact that they are at least twice as loud as the program you were just watching and that the networks get sync'd up so you can't change the channel and watch something else.
  22. Another example of a killer intro surrounded by an equally killer/perfect song.
