Damn Yankees - the truth behind their mythical 3rd album
martinsane replied to Stefan's topic in AOR and Hard Rock
Well here is hoping someone shares them as good bad or indifferent it would be a shame to let them rot on the vine. I remember the day I got the 3rd Best Kissers In the World album entitled Yellowbrick Roadkill that MCA recorded and promptly dumped the band and archived the album. However in this case these songs are excellent and eventually got released by Gerald many years later. -

Neato, so do the tunes suck as much as being eluded too? -

Yes these posts and demos/unreleased things are cool as fudge. Is that disc in someones hands or is it some stock footage from some obscure Sony something or other. Are there any sounds about on this? I have a CC DeVille/Samantha 7 disc like the Damn Yanks one that I posted about here. -
That would explain (maybe not) the lack of retort to my all to serious inquiry...

Sorry didn't listen but am I the only one that thinks Punky Brewster on this one?

Brigsby Bear~ Low key comedy, little arty, little dark, but quite a nice film. Mark Hammill and Greg Kinnear steal the show. The Mule~Came and went but watchable, not memorable and damn Clint Eastwood is farking OLD.

Didn't see anything regarding the passing of the gently giant and actor who made a career of being the lovable Wookie Chewbacca from our favorite franchise Star Wars. Peter Mayhew passed away Tuesday April 30th at 74 years of age. Quite obviously the force was strong with this one...

Greetings! This is Shane (A&R) Martin from Demon Doll Records
martinsane replied to Shane Martin's topic in Introductions
Was wondering if some of the record shops would start to pop up on this of quintessential reference to "our" scene. Nice to "see" you Shane. What's the 411? Looking forward to chatting you up and of course getting the scoop and poop on what double D is up to. -
What no sounds?

Family Rock Band Bringing Rock Back!!!!
martinsane replied to Samshredica's topic in AOR and Hard Rock
Its cute I guess. Not anything spectacular or groundbreaking or any other word for tide turning. Sure they can play and like the Jo Bro's or Hanson or even the Nelson Brothers or Wilson Phillips the family dangle is a nice gimmick. I'd stop a minute if they were playing at the local mall, but only a minute... -

Not seeing much mentioned of the packaging, slip sleeves or jewel cases, liner notes, booklets, book, photos, you know something to accompany the mega box? -

Oh c'mon no love for the chix with dixx? To each their own I still think Wendy is a milfy babe. And Geoff that so you can dance gal was different even though she looks a bit like Marie. Her name Is Mary Murphy and she too is worthy of a fap, sure she is annoying as fuck but...

I still dug it and want to watch again. I quoted Jez here for the Theatre of Pain jab and agreed it is the week link, but in the movie were Vince says hey this album has no hits on it and the manager goes well its got Smokin' in the Boys Room... pure comedy gold.

From post one Wendy Williams and Marie Osmond are 100% tasty treats, so whats not to like?

Finally got around to seeing The Meg and I was sadly disappointed, sure what do you expect but it was very sanitized and the acting was not that great.

Loved the Dirt film. Nicely paced and filmed. Solid acting and man what a hard flashback to why I dug the Crue, grew my hair out and did all the things I did. Like the Crue one wonders how I walked away from any of it. Again watch it is great!
