  1. Nicely done Mike! Great having you "back" out front. I can honestly day I own maybe 1 of these records and haven't heard any others other than a track or 2. Guess I can't play.
  2. He he, I bet you are... I however was referring to Female Fronted Metal... but I get it.

    Hyena

Whilst trolling in the deep regions of YouTUbe I came across this little EP of a metal band from Peru. Sounds just fine to me and a definite for those that are stuck in 1982 with regards to metal and for those that are partial to FFM. https://www.facebook.com/HyenaHeavyMetal
  4. They both pop in and post. Thomas mostly in the what cd's did you buy. Plenty of new music to talk about, I just think the dip is a result of folks having differing priorities, that said this group has always been my favorite and a go to so no matter what is happening good bad or indifferent I will always check in with my HH family.
  5. Eve 6-Speak In Code (Band signed) Nogahyde-Black Out Crush
  6. Interesting. More Krokus than AC/DC but Krokus is an AC/DC knockoff so there you go. The songs are fine, but it is a change.
  7. Yes that is nice/refreshing to have some heavy tunage sans the cookie monster vocal. Great find on some melodic modern metal. At the 3 minute mark there is a harsher background vocal that could lead one to believe they may dabble there... The singer sounds like another modern hard rock singe r that I can't place, maybe one of you other fellows can name it.
  8. No worries Gents, I kid and add dramatic flair for effect. Your all the goods. We can dot i's and cross t's later. ~ The Dice or I want to have a hot tub with you and throw in a toaster... ~ Bob Saget
  9. I don't mind either song and I think the JP references in Pure Evil are musically as that gallopy almost double bass affair is similar to Painkiller, but Harnell is no Halford. Tony's voice is sounding tasty on this disc though certainly getting into the upper upper register. Pure Evil for me is the better tune, but as with vintage TNT a more arena rock friendly tune or 2 seemed to be the proper plan. I'd like to hear more.
  10. Would You Rather~Only cuz of Jeffrey Combs but it was an alright little twisted tale from a few years back. I Don't Feel At Home In This World Anymore~This was a fairly solid little "Falling Down" type movie with a good cast and a pretty big budget. Filmed out here in Oregon and Elijah Wood had the 2 coolest t-shirts on in the film, a JP Screaming for Vengeance and a Saxon!
  11. FB is for L7 squares man. It might also be a good place for catfishing but that ain't my bag either. As for Jacob, he is out west here in Oregon and I text him from time to time to check in with his young man adventures. Jay/HSF is doing well we rap out from time to time as well. I think a lot of "regulars" drifted out to do life stuff, but I see them starting to pop back in. I mean the core here at HH is still solid and the topics are great still. Sure we aren't bashing Sam or whoever is ripping off whomever as much, but Stephan, Dead Planet, Grissom and myself still name drop new stuff on the regular and most the stuff I put up gets ignored or made fun of by some (Alphamale and Geoff) but hey it keeps the community thriving and keeps many taking a daily peak at whats up.
  12. NO I am on the west coast Washington State to be precise, but that's OK I am, is, was and always will be non memorable. I think you may be remembering HSF (Jay)??? As for the guy in Tucson who was shafted by the car dealership, that was James Gebbia, aka Staryder1 and I am sad to report he passed away 3 years ago. Still stings as we had many a great conversation and CD scroungings in Seattle together. The site and members are still a sound foundation of usual's, a few nembs from time to time and we definitely need to get after some who thing FB is the place to be and neglecting the horse they rode in on HH
  13. I'm still here... But as Richard Geere once said in An Officer & A Gentleman "I got nowhere else to go!" Nice to see you back young man, sorry to hear of your tumultuous few years and I hope the battle scars suit you and your ready to forge forward and yes 20's is still very young considering I just belly flopped into 50.
  14. I don't get it.......................

    Hitten

https://www.facebook.com/HITTENOFFICIAL Didn't find a mention to this tasty hard rock/metal band from Spain. Excellent old school 80's sound and it seems they have a few releases available... Here's an older clip with a different singer, still cool, even though I dig the new stuff more so.
  16. Solo~Finally saw this one, thanks Netflix. I am so confused as to the dislike on this one, to me it was well done and the kid who played the young Solo was excellent. Well done movie and I would hope for more in this series but I heard the consensus is no. Shame as the potential is their and a far better go than the latest trilogy movies. I must say I am enjoying the one offs more than the series...

    NFL 2018

We won't see that in our lifetime I'd assume. Still unclear to me wht=y NY or the booth, whatever, can't assist with field calling. How simple could it be for a crew of folks in a reply booth at least verifying calls made for validity? Like that roughing the passer call. The booth could easily call down to the head official, they could do a quick replay and pick up the flag and move on. That all said come 2 weeks from today in Atlanta I hate to say it but I think NE will be getting their 6th ring...

    NFL 2018

The WORST was that poor kid who lined up in the neutral zone giving NE the 5 yards and the first, especially when his team mate picked off Tom and that would have ended the game right there.

    NFL 2018

They should hope they get a few of the officials from tonight's game, even though the Chief's were playing catch up a lot there was a "roughing the passer" call that gave NE a first down and subsequent touchdown in lieu of a punt, 7 points. Andy though what a jinx this guy is, couldn't get it done in Philly and hasn't been able to do anything in KC either... Otherwise though some good games with teams that don't matter to me in the end. I do hope the Rams get one though as I do not want NE to get another.

    NFL 2018

Well I'll be. The Rams are off to Atlanta for the big show. C'mon KC!
  21. Got out and about yesterday and was afforded a moment perusing a 2 for $.50 bin and nabbed a few, DUH!? The Nightmares~Loose & Dangerous Fight~Mutations "Collector's Edition" Theatre of Tragedy~S/T The Sins of Thy Beloved~Lake of Sorrow Slickfist~Subharmonic Addiction (this one has Bob Blotzer's fingerprints all over it as engineer/producer...) Anger As Art~Callous & Furor Behead The Prophet N.L.S.L.~I Am That Great & Fiery Force Corvus~Never Forgive
  22. Yes Psycho Supper was tasty as well, Edison's Medicine!!!
  23. As a Tesla fan, at least the first handful of albums, I for one am glad they are still plodding along and this song is OK, nothing more. I truly HATE the Def Lep influences and bologna ALL over that Shock song. Tesla is NOT supposed to 348 layered tracks of overdubs and other BS. And even though they harmonize and such very well that whole compressed Def Lep chorus/vocal influence is just gross when attached to Tesla. 2 separate bands and let's keep them that way please and thank you! PLEASE give me some more Great Radio Controversy Tesla! Which even though Mechanical Resonance was and is a stellar debut GRC is their best effort, bar none.
  24. Venom~Probably my favorite thus far from the Marvel Universe. Tom Hardy is a fine actor and I quite enjoyed this Venom film. Looking forward to number 2.
