On a side note. Does anyone remember when Rick Savage developed Bell's Palsy?
-
Yes, I agree 100% that all medications have possible side effects. As Glen pointed out, even relatively harmless drugs like Paracetamol, Aspirin, etc. The big difference is that their side effects are KNOWN and were discovered after many years of rigorous trials and testing. I know we don't have the luxury of time with this virus, but that still doesn't discount the fact that it's a big risk.

This is a great album.

Steelhouse Lane - The Nightmare Begins. It's not the only track Mike Slamer has repurposed for Steelhouse Lane.
-
Yeah, Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night.

Georgia Satellites - Keep Your Hands to Yourself. This was quite the hit down here in 1986. I have to admit that for quite a while after this song was released, I thought the band was called "George and the Satellites".

Hartmann - Brazen. I've been revisiting some Oliver Hartmann related stuff. It's all pure class.

I heard this one recently in a youtube covid video regarding the Worldwide use of masks. This could possibly be the Anthem of 2020.
-
Yeah, I can't remember the name either, but i'd rather take a drug that has been thoroughly trialed and tested with regards to Human safety than some yearly brewed up concoction.

Mad Atchu - Witches Hour. Sleazy/Metal sleaziness from '93. Killer album!

Hmmm, let's hope so for the sake of those who have already been vaccinated. We could be looking at annual inoculations for everbody. Much like the pre Covid flu shots that were advised every year. This of course, apparently, is more serious than the flu and this is only early days. If it's evolved into another strain already, then how long before it becomes even more deadly than it is, allegedly. Great news for big Pharma. Covid vaccinations, if effective and wide spread, would eradicate it in no time, but if new strains occur every year then we could find ourselves (the whole World, mind you) in a constant state of vaccinations.

I see it's mutated in the UK and they're dealing with a new strain now.

Well, I'm officially in a rabbit hole. I reminded myself of another time "You Belong to the City" featured on another TV show. Possibly my favourite show of all time!!!! I used to tape every episode religiously. There's also a nice little "It's Your Move" connection, which brings things full circle. Just the way I like it.
-
Is this one the best ever? Possibly? In fact, the whole soundtrack wasn't too shabby. I used to have it on vinyl. Played the shit out of it. On a side note, "You Belong to the City", really makes me wish there were more AOR bands that embraced the saxaphone.

It's hard to listen to "Believe it or Not" without being reminded of the "Costanza" version. As for the TV show "It's Your Move", yes!!! It was awesome. Starring "Caren Kaye". Fuck me, talk about fap worthy. She starred in a movie just prior called "My Tutor". 80s titty movie excellence.
-
Yeah, "Streets of Fire" is great. Diane Lane has always been and still is highly fap worthy. You reminded me of another great mid 80s show starring Stoney Jackson from "Streets of Fire" called "The Insiders". I always remembered the theme song, performed by "Genesis" no less! The second clip is from a Japanese TV show about the great Chinese Saga "Journey to the West". This show was on everynight after school and was absolute essential viewing for my friends and I when we were 7 or 8 years old. We all had homemade "Monkey Sticks". The third one needs no explanation. One of the best. Song and show.
-
The first one's pedigree speaks for itself. Written by Steve Plunkett and performed by David Glen Eisley. Unfortunately Stephen Collins fucked up any future residual cheques. The second one is a classic. Performed by David Pomeranz. I checked out his discography. Very, very light, but nice. Always loved the third one. The song and the show. Very short lived. I think Brian Keith's death ended it. As it would. The last one is another great AOR track in it's own right.

Exactly.

ALPHA SOULS - Carousel Of Emotions (2020)
Darkstone replied to AlphaMale's topic in AOR and Hard Rock
Not too bad. -
Is that still happening, with covid, lockdowns, etc?

George Lynch and Jeff Pilson - "Heavy Hitters" (2020)
Darkstone replied to AlphaMale's topic in AOR and Hard Rock
Thanks for the heads up mate. I'm enjoying it. George is so much better when he's working with Jeff. -
That's what I reckon the hardest part would be. You play the drums, don't you mate?

Yeah, being in Australia, it's sometimes easy to forget just how scary it must be for you guys in Europe, the UK and the US. I'm not prepared to take it, but I completely understand why you would.
