  1. Three names I've never heard of before. Tom Burr, Jason Vanek and Benny Lockhart. I'll have to investigate. Killer stuff! with great potential. "Soul in a Rose" is a standout.
  2. To be fair, I've seen just as heated arguments and insulting posts in some music threads.
  3. I could imagine back in the 1750's, Alpha and Glen having the same Trans-Atlantic argument about George Washington. And no.... Before anyone's panties get in a bunch, I'm not comparing Trump to Washington.
  4. That's the point I was trying to make. I wasn't comparing Ashli Babbit to George Floyd. It was a comment on the different media coverage.
  5. The two big winners out of all of this are China and Russia. They're pissing themselves with laughter at the moment. Like Trump or not, the fact of the matter is that he was voted President in 2016. Instead of his opponents accepting this, they have done nothing but hinder, criticize, and undermine him from day one. Hell, even before his inauguration he was getting hammered. What we saw at "Capitol Hill" was, I believe, a precursor to more organized unrest. The far right, militia group types have been looking for a legitimate excuse for decades for "Revolution". There are also many, many non radical Republicans who are angry. The way the President was treated over the last 4 years was disgraceful. He never had a chance. I'm sure everbody here is familiar with the name "George Floyd", but how often over the last 30 hours or so have you heard the name of the unarmed woman shot and killed by a Capitol Police Officer. It's "Ashli Babbit", BTW.
  6. I don't know if that will do any good, but now you're getting it.
  7. I'm sorry, but that's borderline hate speech.
  8. Here's two tracks about my favourite subject. One, a Rap song and the other, a Country track. It goes to show that a deeply profound and meaningful subject such as this transcends all musical genres.
  9. Apparently it is the first time it's been breached since the War of 1812 though.
  10. Negative connotations aside, I've always thought that "Chlamydia" would make a lovely girls name.
  11. Swanee - Temporary Heartache. Talking about Jimmy Barnes, this is a track from a band Fronted by Jimmy Barnes' brother, John Swan. "Swanee" were quite popular when I was a little tacker. I had this track on a compilation cassette called "Rocktrip '82". I posted this particular video for Doggy. John Swan may have been a great artist, but he had shit taste in Football Clubs.
  12. If you're not familiar with them already, check out the "Australian Crawl" greatest hits.
  13. James Reyne - Motor's Too Fast. James Reyne - Hammerhead. James Reyne from the Legendary Aussie band "Australian Crawl", released his debut solo album in '87. One of the great Aussie AOR albums. I just posted another track from it in the Election thread and it reminded me of these two. I'll have to post some "Australian Crawl" stuff. Their 80's stuff is as iconic as it gets when it comes to Australian music and there's plenty of it. He has a very unique voice, but it worked.
  14. Nothing is obvious with you brotha.
  15. This is going to get a lot worse before it gets better. 70 MILLION people voted for this guy! We're gonna see this shit all over the country. A lot of misinformation from both sides. Nobody's gonna what to believe. Bigger Empires than the US have come and gone. Are we witnessing the fall of Rome?
  16. C'mon Kouros, you must know that this story is from Bush/Gore 2000 and highly dubious at that.
  17. The shit is really hitting the fan now! Footage from Congress is unbelievable!
  18. ZZ Top - Doubleback. "Back to the Future III" is from 1990, so this is a possible "At the Movies" contender. I know it's already a Hard Rock track, but it could do with a nice Melodic Metal revamp.
  19. This shit is really getting ridiculous.
  20. I would've thought that even if there were thousands of copies of a rare CD, it wouldn't detract from the rarity or value of the original. Isn't that the whole point of collecting physical CDs? If not, then you all may as well embrace digital.
  21. Lesbian Bed Death - Give 'Em The Axe. Going thru the archives, I had to bump this one from "martinsane". Great band. The Lead Singer is just skanky enough to be hot.
  22. Home Free - Man of Constant Sorrow. Those of you who have seen "Oh Brother, Where Art Thou?" will be familiar with this track by the "Soggy Bottom Boys". I love this old, old school Country/Folk stuff. These guys are an A cappella group BTW. Vocals, Beats and Harmonica. Just as a post script, it seems that the bitches really love a deep voice. I happen to wear a hat like the lead singer, as Doggy will confirm. My normal voice is deep-ish, but I do have massive balls, so I could make it deeper.
