  1. Hmmm, interesting. They're big shoes to fill.
  2. Well there you go. For some reason I've always thought that Spinal Tap was a lot earlier.
  3. Another "Parody" band, this time from the UK. In the mid 80s, "Bad News" released an album and they were definitely influenced by "Spinal Tap". They weren't just nobodies. As with Spinal Tap's legendary pedigree, the band consisted of British comedy royalty including three members of "The Young Ones", a classic 80s TV comedy. Aussies, Brits and Canadians should be familiar with it, but not so much Americans. It's a bit too much TBH. Not as subtle as Spinal Tap.
  4. I'm sure most of you have seen "This is Spinal Tap". If you haven't, then I would highly suggest you do so immediately. The original "Steel Panther". The second clip is possibly one of the funniest music related clips ever!
  5. Shannon - Let the Music Play. Not everyone's cup of tea I'm sure, but I heard it today in the supermarket and was transported back to the eighties, as I am every time I hear it. Always loved this track.
  6. Yeah, I enjoy the Spooky Rice "Disturbing Breakdown" vids. You're right about voice overs. Probably more important than the production IMO. There's a True Crime channel called "That Chapter" that's pretty good. The presenter is Irish, but he delivers it well. Whenever I start to get fooled into thinking that people and this world aren't too bad after all, I'll watch one of those clips to bring me back to reality.
  7. The "Titanic", an insurance job? I love a good (plausible) conspiracy theory. This is a 50 min watch, but very fascinating.
  8. Don Dokken - Crash N' Burn. What an album this was/is. Talk about a "Super Group". No fillers on this one.
  9. Sorry mate, I completely got the wrong end of the stick.
  10. Another classic, sensational, magnificent (there are too many superlatives) track from "Roxus". Why this wasn't included on the album, I'll never know.
  11. Been on a Roxus binge (although, there isn't too much to binge) thanks to Cody. There aren't too many ballads better than this one.
  12. Yeah, classic Aussie 80s track. So, when you say "In the beginning", I'm guessing you mean THE INTRO.
  13. "Hot Moves" was another favorite. Who could forget Heidi.
  14. "Nightstreet" would definitely be in my top 10. Were you aware of "De-Arrow"? Not all the tracks are sung by Juno and although the other vocals are great, you can hear the different level of quality when he sings.
  15. I just checked it out. I didn't realize he was such an instigator. Good on him, I just wish he'd put as much effort into releasing more music.
  16. Here's a few from artists not included on your list yet. I think they all qualify, we'll see. I've saved the best for last. A Legendary Aussie artist covering a Legendary Aussie band. The song is about the Vietnam War. Very profound.
  17. I'm sure a man of your knowledge was aware of this, Cody San.
  18. All this combined with corona, is not good.
  19. Sorry guys. My bad. I've just noticed that this was one of the first ones I posted. I've gotta get off the drugs man.
  20. I'm not sure why this wasn't one of the first ones I posted??
  21. The State of Victoria has always been the Mecca of Australian Rules Football. There is, however two other Australian States who have a rich Aussie Rules history. South Australia and Western Australia. Up until 1990, before the game became the AFL, playing for a club in the VFL was, to use a Baseball term, like getting a call to the Major Leagues. The SANFL and the WAFL produced many VFL stars and back in the day each league received a tremendous amount of support. This is an SANFL clip from 1974. Back when this was a true man's game. Bear in mind, most of these "bumps" were considered fair back then and play continued.
