  1. Do you have an idea of what type of name you are looking for, i.e. Biblical (John), traditional or something Hollywood like "Apple" or "Acorn"?
  2. I'm hoping to get to Rock Gone Wild in Iowa. Just figuring out if I can shell out $175 for the ticket, etc. And a few more bands announcements would be nice. Would be fun....though I used to work at the Rockfest and Countryfest in Cadott, WI and every year it seemed a downpour or some sort of storm would move in. If it wasn't that is was 90 degrees and humid.

    Radio Show

I'm sorry, but I have to add a big LOL here! I just didn't think of it like that.
  4. Just had to post this video before my wife kills me for singing that song over and over. If I never post again, you will all know what happened to me and why. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xD64OhbG4ps What if it were you hanging up on this wall? If it were you in that sandwich, you wouldn’t be laughing at alllllll!
  5. Same here, interesting stuff to look at though I too cannot say I am convinced. I'll just keep an open mind...agnostic perhaps.
  6. Well, I figured out who the band is. I won't give the name 'cause I dont know if I should? I'll just say the CD this track is on has aliens on the front cover. Anyway, I like it. Not exactly the type of music I rush out to buy. A few other tracks available for sample were short but not too bad from what was there.
  7. Great movie Yeah, I found myself thinking a few times that Russell Crowe had a great performance.
  8. A Brilliant Mind was on one of the networks last night. Caught that after work. I always wanted the conspiracies to be real.
  9. I thought 3:10 To Yuma and an....."unacceptable" ending (for lack of a better word). He's supposed to be a bad ass....where does the sudden heart come from? Up until the ending it was pretty decent though.
  10. Picked up an original of Killer Dwarfs - Stand Tall for $6.
  11. I'll second that....'course I haven't been around that long to know many.
  12. Up here in Wisconsin the temperature can be the same but the wet feel of the air can chill you through the bones, making a wet day feel way colder than a dry day of the same temp. Not sure if that happens where you are. Toss in a little breeze and brrr.... Now I notice if we get a little rain or snow most drivers turn into complete morons. We deal with this stuff all year every year and it is like a new thing to them.
  13. David Frost Robbed England's Queen WLHHB
  14. So where do you guys go when you are looking for tracks from an artist that were never on cd? I was cranking some tunes on the computer and Dirty Looks "Take What Ya Get" shuffled on. It reminded me I always wanted to get my hands on their pre-Cool From The Wire tracks. The samples on their website are not the full songs of course. Is my best bet to attempt to find the vinyls and transfer them to CD/mp3?
  15. Time Will Tell....don't ask me where I came up with "Only Time Will". Maybe I should go to bed.
  16. I found Fifth Angel - S/T and Only Time Will in mint condition for $5 each over the weekend.
  17. RadioIO is great. I head down into the basement at work and hook my laptop up to some speakers and crank the RadioIO hairbands. Sometimes a co-worker gets down there before me and puts on RadioIO Guitar Heroes. Either way it is better than listening to the local rock station play Nickelback followed by Metallica, Puddle of Mudd, Ozzy, Metallica, System of a Down, Metallica, Nickelback, oh and Metallica. I mean c'mon.
  18. Just let my subscription expire...same reason as Blue Charvel. They offered me a lifetime subscription for $400. I want to hear some variety, some obscure bands/tunes. So after many years, I'm done. Who knows how long they will be around anyway. Direct TV just had to pump a bunch of money into them just to keep them afloat, is what I was told.
  19. With Dangerous Toys and Tyketto being a coupla my favs I am trying pretty hard to figure out how to get there. Special discounts always help...it is good to be a member of the club.
  20. Well, that settles it...Tyketto is there. I'm there.
  21. Yep, I grew up in very rural mid-western Wisconsin. BMG was really my only way of getting my music fix in mass. There was a music store an hour away in a mall but had to rely on my parents to get me there. I could barely bring in the radio station 93x KXXR out of Minneapolis from my upstairs bedroom in the farmhouse. That is how I knew what bands to order from BMG. I would sign up with fake names and BMG never cared as long as they got their "1 penny plus S&H".
  22. Couldn't have been said better. Only I always looked forward to opening a big box of "cassettes"!!!!
  23. That Idol Rich tune was pretty good too. Found a bit of information about it here. Dirty Dreams being the title. http://www.metal-archives.com/release.php?id=133191 Thanks sharatan!
  24. Great set of tunes, thanks! It makes my day finding something new. Well, guess I didn't find the songs, but I found your post! Sweet...
