  1. I'll back all of the above as well, thanks Jimbo! Jeff
  2. And Dirty Looks is on the Rock Gone Wild lineup, along with Tigertailz, L.A. Guns, Lillian Axe and Dangerous Toys.
  3. NBA = yawn. I don't find a lot of interest in 7 foot dude raising their arm and dropping a ball in a 10 foot basket or jumping up and slamming the ball through, hanging on the rim and swinging back and forth a few times and then acting like they did something that required talent. The guys that can shoot from some distance...3 pointer with a guy in their face....ok, they got some talent, but what else is there? To your main point that I cannot call myself a sports fan if I don't like the NBA. I love baseball and football. I like to PLAY basketball. I like competition whether it is a game a pool at the bar, my Tuesday night softball league, playing a round of golf with my friends or a game of Wii Bowling. I don't like to watch pool tournaments, golf, other softball games, etc. Does this make me not a sports fan? I don't think so. Anyway, it's all opinion. I can watch my favorite MLB team play for three hours, beer in hand, any day of the week and there are people that will say how can you sit there and watch those guys adjust their nut cup, spit their tobacco, walk around the mound of dirt throw a ball and start the process all over again? I dunno, I just like it....well, maybe not the nut cup part.
  4. Take Survivor's Eye of the Tiger and Pink Floyd's Keep Talking, smash them together and shake them up and I hear W.A.S.P.'s Scared To Death.
  5. Tip 3 back for me as you celebrate! Happy birthday!

    HEY!

Welcome! At 14 years old, who or what introduced you to the best music there is?
  7. No. Next question? Seriously though, there are more legal/rights headaches with lyrics than with any other aspect of music sites (save downloads). The law may have changed (I'll be honest, I've not followed up on the issue), but at one point lyric sites and lyric search engines were being shut down left and right, and I wanted nothing to do with that fiasco... -Dan "So you're telling me there's a chance. Yeah!!!"
  8. From fences to messages boards, one can only dream of 18,000 posts.
  9. Still keeping an eye out for that Katella for ya!
  10. Maybe this was discussed before my time on the board (I searched but didn't see anything)...but why isn't Drivin' N Cryin' on the HH main page? Don't fit the HH criteria? Disliked by too many? Just curious.
  11. I had to look her up to make sure I knew who she was. Now, #8 may be a little high on a top 100 hot list, but I'd let her eat crackers in my bed...or whatever the saying is. Now this coming from a guy who doesn't give much thought to Angelina Jolie...not ugly per se, I'd still let her do the cracker thing in my bed, but I just don't see what the big deal is.
  12. Can I love one and lust for the other?
  13. Anyone want to trade a Blue Tears S/T cd for a Southgang Tainted Angel cd so I can give this band a listen?
  14. For once I wish I had HBO. I've heard good things about this show and friends have said it is right up my alley.
  15. Crap, I missed the season finale last night. Looks like Hulu has it posted. Was it a 1 hour or 2 hour finale though? Anyway, I've been watching Fringe since it started. I loved The X-Files so this show is a good one.
  16. "Don't Come Easy" is melodic rock perfection IMO. I can't believe the haters of Tyketto around here. I agree, I'm not surprised everyone doesn't like all their songs, that is why we all have opinions and polls like this to discuss, but I am a little surprised at the amount of general dislike as well. Their debut didn't have a bad song on it IMO, aside from Lay Your Body Down which is not bad, just not a real favorite of mine. I can pretty much say the same for Strength In Numbers with Why Do You Cry being the non-favorite track. Unfortunately I have never heard anything by Southgang but if they are being compared to Tyketto on some level I definitely want to find some of their music and give it a listen.
  17. Another year by the boards, congrats!
  18. I might have to check out that High Noon cd. Just Like A Woman is a good tune....samples out on the main HH site and they look like they time warped out of 1987...cool.
  19. mmmmmmm, hookers Have a great birthday!
  20. That song, and the only song I was going to mention is 'When I'm Gone'. I had that one ripped onto my Gigabeat but I got rid of it last time I culled some songs and sold the CD not long ago. 'When I'm Gone' has a pretty cool chorus, but the lyrics are just pathetic and it doesn't hold up to repeated listens. Bad, bad CD. That's funny, when Tytan3k mentioned a decent balland I thought, I don't remember a ballad. Then Geoff mentions it had "bad lyrics" and then I remembered hitting the fast forward to the next track each time because I thought the opening lyrics were so bad I would never like that song no matter what, so I never finished it through. For those interested what those lyrics were: I thought I heard you in the rain The other night when I was away (Ok, fine that's cool) Through the window and in the dark Just you and me...in the park (and then I hit the FF button) Maybe I'll try Tytan3k's trick of giving it another chance in a few years. Oh, and another tidbit about the promo cd is it is actually called "Nothing To Lose". So instead of just saying Arcade on the thin side of the back insert it says "Arcade Nothing To Lose". Makes me wonder since this CD has all the songs if at one point they were going to call the CD Nothing To Lose instead of just being self titled. Something else we may never know.
  21. I found Arcade's A/2 in a used bin a few weeks back. Never owned it so I grabbed for the $4. I've listened to this 2 times now front to back and I cannot find one tune I would rip to my PC. I usually find at least one song on even the most uninteresting cd's that I'll rip to the PC. Anyone got any suggestions on some tunes I should give a 3rd or 4th chance? Judging by the messages on the HH main site, I'm guessing not, but I thought I would try before I shelve this one. On the flip side I did find a somewhat unique promo cd of Arcade's first CD. It contains all the first cd's songs, same order just different artwork for the back insert and on the cd itself. The front does not contain an insert but instead they used a white paint to spray that big white "A" on the jewel case...same white "A" you see on the back insert of the store copy disc.
  22. Happy birthday, tip a cold one back for me as well!
