  1. First: Some freaking good stuff on that release. Many bands would kill to release the songs Winger left unreleased. Secondly: You call Pull mediocre?! I think it's one of the best (if not THE best) release from the Winger catalogue. I've bought so many albums this year, I keep forgetting what I have. I'm pretty sure I bought Pull, too, but I haven't listened to it, yet. Anyway, I loved Winger's last two albums, despite the controversy of IV.
  2. On order, can't wait to blast this in the car its not really a 'blasting' album......more listen, savour, bowdown kind of affair! For some reason, in my car or work truck, I like it up full volume, even if it is a listen & savor-type album Word. Me too. Yep. When I listen to music, it has to be the only thing I can hear.
  3. Um... I really like this. That guitar riff is pretty tight!
  4. Rocker pm me your shipping address so i can verify the promo posters shipped to you. As for the track order.....DOH!!! WTH!?!? >Face palm< Atleast its only 1 song mixed up. 1st pressing...COLLECTORS EDITION!! LOL. Look fwd to your thoughts and detailed feedback/review JK Well, now I MUST buy this!
  5. Excellent point, I was going to bring her up, but thought for some reason she had changed her name, so how do you go about changing your name on here? is there anyway I can get mine changed? or is there like somewhere I can pay to have it changed? it was brought to my attention, I really kind of am sick of the Leykis101 thread, and would like to go under my official internet handle, and not my alternate one any longer, and while we are on the topic of MIA people, why don't we make a list of all HH board members who have gone MIA, I dont mean like "headbangin2creed666" or "nirvanas#1!4ever" I mean like the big timmers, the people who have put in more posts then I will probably ever put in my life, like the one million club, or like the infinity posts club, those who have served as many posts as McDonalds has served burgers, where can we go to see who has the most posts and stats like that? is there anywhere? headbangin2creed666 won't be coming back. The poor fellow was trampled to death in a mosh pit at a Justin Beiber concert. nirvanas#1!4ever changed his name to Fat Freddy, because we hassled him for being a Nirvana fan. We know he still listens to them.
  6. I'll have to give those a listen. Like I said, I'm so out of touch with the modern scene. 90 percent of the names dropped I've never even heard of, let alone heard from.
  7. On order, can't wait to blast this in the car its not really a 'blasting' album......more listen, savour, bowdown kind of affair! Yeah, definitely a lot of bowing down.
  8. Never heard of either of these. Would I seriously like them? Oh, probably not... Actually, definitely not. It's just that earlier in this thread you said you would give DramsGods a listen. I just wanted to know how that went. So nothing in the past two years was impressive enough to infiltrate the top ten list?
  9. I dunno why I keep coming back to this thread. I guess I just wanna know how Ian starts his mornings.
  10. I love that this is the comment that killed the thread. Although, it wasn't really going anywhere.
  11. I thought I'd bump this to see if anyone's lists have changed. Personally, I'm terrible with making lists. I have serious commitment issues. Also, I don't listen to a lot of modern rock, so my selections would vary greatly, due to lack of exposure. Anyway, I'm just gonna throw out some names in no particular order, apart from the first. The Classic Crime - The Silver Cord (one of my all-time favourite albums, period.) The Classic Crime - Phoenix (this one is brilliant, with time it could even surpass The Silver Cord) The Classic Crime - Albatross DramaGods - Love (Geoff, did you ever listen to this?) Population 1 - Population 1 Kutless - To Know That You're Alive Disciple - Southern Hospitality Disciple - Horseshoes & Handgrenades Shinedown - The Sound of Madness Lovex - Watch Out! I've started to go through a lot of these modern rock threads, trying to get educated. The problem with being young and hung up on the past is I spend so much time listening to 70s and 80s music that I'm so out of touch with what the kids are listening to.
  12. My situation is similar: At worst, buying a CD today means I might have to live in the garage for the rest of the month year. This is still the best thread.
  13. Haha, this was totally me. I thought a few years ago that very soon I would literally have every single CD I ever wanted to hear again and that would be it. Just put my feet up and enjoy the music I already own for the rest of my life. What a shambles that became. I want to say I wish it was the case, especially for the sake of my wallet, but by jeebers there is still amazing music being made... And yet you continue to let it pass you by, while you listen to shit. I know you jest, but you do realise what you listen to, don't you? Rub your face on a hip hop or r&b or funk CD, put on some boxing gloves and topple as I strike you before you have time to adjust them. Because I strike like lightening when you least expect it, like when you sleep. You wish.
  14. Cant be as bad as Skyline surely ??! what does the z stand for by the way? always wondered?? About 1000 times worse than 'Skyline.' I forget what I thought about 'Skyline' but I do know I didn't hate it. What was it about it that irked me? I forget, but I did enjoy the film - this one just really pissed me off. I agree with Karpet that there was potential, but it was wiped out in the first scene due to the dialogue between the 2 main guys. And it just got worse as it went on. As for the z - ask some kids. Who knows what any of their internet lingo means? I only use it so as to appear as though I'm still young. So pathetic. So hilarious. You just made my day, Geoff.
  15. It's okay. It's his term of endearment for me. Funny thing is, I couldn't grow a "carpet" on my face, if my life depended on it. It's that 1/16th Cherokee.
  16. That don't make mental sense!! Nah, it does. Only I prefer more than ten songs. I love fourteen, for some reason. So much so, when I see a new album with only ten tracks, I honestly am immediately dissapointed.
  17. It had so much potential, though. Really sad.

  19. Loved this movie. All the slasher/horror movie cliches, yet still unpredicatable as hell. Believe it. This film has received far too much hate. Joss Whedon is incredible.
  20. How did you get this? I thought it wasn't released until 9/25? It's Dave. The real question is, "Why hasn't he got copies for the rest of us?"
  21. That is definitely interesting. I've never tried it - is it loads of work? Did you buy kits or something? How long does it take? I might have to have a go at this at some point. Beer = happy! Honestly mate, not much work at all. It truly isn't. The biggest pain in the ass, I admit, is the bottling stage. And yes, my wife bought me a kit for Christmas (thanks, my love!) and I've not looked back. It's pretty easy, mate. In a nutshell, you pour the contents of a syrup tin, 1kg of sugar and 23 litres of water into a big tub. Stir it around, add some hops and wheat flavour enhancement if you so desire (for fine pale ales in particular), sprinkle the yeast in last and then just leave that thing for a week. Get a couple of measurements a week later and then bottle it, store it and wait. So from day one to the day of your first sip, ideally, it's about 7 weeks. I was drinking them excitedly after 2 weeks with my first batch, but when I let them sit for a few more weeks, the flavour enhancement is worth the time in gold. But if you keep several batches on the go at ones, my plan is to never buy beer again as I hope to always have my own perfectly brewed supply. It's a lot of fun playing around with and perfecting the flavours. Hey Geoff, been doing this for a few years now and i love it.Have a try of the Munich Lager,it's a top brew and the pale ale is nice.K Mart has this new brew barrel that holds 30 litres and is around $40 for the full set up,i'm thinking of giving it a go. I had my buddy's equipment for nearly a year and never used it. Three weeks ago, I went on vacation one weekend, and, when I came back, my brother had a batch going. A pale ale from Brew House. I'm so excited to start doing this. My buddy wants his shit back, so I'll have to buy it myself. I've done a little researching, and Brew House looks like a good company. Coopers is also recommended. What have you guys been using?
  22. Well, there's your problem. You need to listen to them front to back. Listening to them in reverse will do you no benefit.
