  1. Since Shinedown "The sound of madness" was my album of the year, I have been waiting with bated breath to see what they followed it up with. I see I can rest easy now as this song absolutely rocked!!!!!!!! This is friggin' huge!!!! Loved it.
  2. If you click on the digstation icon on their myspace page, it'll take you to the download website where you can sample every track. Solid stuff, but not mindblowing imo.
  3. Dunno if anybody mentioned this yet, but SAVING ABEL just came out with a new album today called "Miss America". I listened to most of the sound samples but didn't think it was even as good as their last cd. Not bad, just not awesome either. A few decent tunes scattered throughout. Just thought I'd mention it for those who don't mind the modern melodic-type bands.
  4. Hmm, I kinda liked that new song. But then again, I'm a closet fan of his debut album Gonna have to check some more sound samples out.
  5. Wow, just goes to show how wildly opinions differ. I actually thought "Eyes Out Poppin" was one of the best rockers on the album. Songs I could have done without on the album would have been "Only Come Out At Night, "Gotta Run", "Crush", and "Daydream". Basically I came up with 7 "keeper" tracks off the disc which is enough to warrant a spot on my shelf, but I would have liked a touch stronger album. Some good stuff on there though no doubt.
  6. Came across this on e-bay and was wondering if anybody here has actually heard these songs. They've definitely got "The Look" which kind of peaked my interest. There's not much on the internet about them either other than I believe they only released these songs on cassette form originally. The seller lists it as a "demo CDR" which is fine if that's the only way to hear them on cd. 7. Demon Doll Records is quickly becoming my favorite label due to the acts that they keep signing. Here's their latest which fits right in nicely. 44 Caliber sounds like they should be right on par with some of the other sleaze glam acts like Slam Alley, Debbie Ray, or Axident Avenue. I always love a good attitude-style band. I'm only basing this opinion on the four sound samples which you can hear on the site. But, it was enough for me to place my order. Here's the link: http://www.demondollrecords.com/44_Caliber_-_Can_You_Handle.html
  8. Yep I just picked this one up from demondoll records. Pretty good sleaze flak with big backing vocals. My only complaint was that I wished the songwriting had been a tad stronger. That was the only reason o sold it on my latest update. It looked silver pressed to me, but I know demondoll has been doing some great looking cdrs so I don't really know for sure.
  9. Finished spinning this one today. I didn't care for "Armageddon" and "Rebel", but the rest of the album was pretty kickin'. A must for the sleaze metal fan and kudos to the boys for still rockin' out the anthems after album 3.
  10. Hey gang. I just got in an original 1992 copy of St. Warren "Honest Planet" if anybody is interested. The inside booklet is even autographed by Brad and Brij St. Warren. I'm asking $75 for it. The only other place I can find it right now is on GEMM for $128. Or, I would consider trading it for a copy of Syre "S/T".
  11. Not familiar with this band but that was a pretty cool single.
  12. I'm gonna go with Rockdoc here. This is a fantastic album and by far their best effort ever imo! This cd is just loaded with huge hooks and massive choruses. I'm really surprised more people aren't drooling over this release. I would think that this is exactly what lovers of HH would be looking for. Treat have outdone themselves here.
  13. Great band and great song! The girl in the blue outfit dancing next to the drummer is HOT!!!!!!!!!!
  14. I finally got my copy of this in the mail yesterday. To me this was worth every penny. I had a blast listening to it. The song choices were spot on and who would've thought you could actually make a Madonna song sound cool. Sure, we all miss Loud & Clear, but dang, Jesse Harnell's vocals were excellent here. I thought he performed better vocally here than he did on "Disc-connected". The concept actually worked here and kudos to the boys for giving this a shot and apparently doing pretty well sale-wise from the e-mail they sent me. Bottom line, this blows away 7th Heaven who tried the same type of thing on their pop and rock medleys. So yes, like Rock Sugar says, pop rocks!
  15. Dave emailed me and said the 4 titles will be released in 10 days !! Cannot wait !! It's been longer than ten days. What's up? Anybody know? The anticipation for the new Live Tongue cd is killin' me.
  16. Yup same band. That thread is so old Jarred was still around these parts. So why the change of heart from Jez and Chris? I'm curious to hear the tunes now to see what changed. I really didn't change my tune. They're good, but not quite good enough to hunt down a copy of imo. Maybe I was a little harsh in that old thread calling them generic though. I'm always a fan of good backing vocals. But, a touch better songwriting and a little more bite, and then we'd be on to something. Maybe their next one will be the killer. But again, these guys do what they do well and plenty on here I'm sure will be adding this to their collection. Heck, if somebody wanted to give me a copy for free, I might too, lol.
  17. Not too shabby at all. Very well produced, polished, melodic hard rock. I would have preferred a little more "bite" to them, but they do what they do pretty well. Some nice harmony vox going on which is always a good thing.
  18. I wanna say I came across these guys a few days ago while I was browsing the net. While the single is ok, to me they sound like a weaker version of a half dozen other modern bands that do it much better. But in all fairness, that opinion is just from one song. They might have some other tracks that are totally killer.
  19. I got my copy of this on the way from AOR Heaven. I actually found a link through Reckless Love's website where you could sample every song off the new cd. One I heard all the samples, I was sold. This is some good stuff.
  20. I bought this cd, burned two tracks off it, and then got rid of it. Too much filler material on there for me. I'll still be curious to see what they do after this though.
  21. Actually FP does have a greatest hits album out that does contain both of those songs. It was released in 2000 by Flashback Records. It's the only disc I own by the band myself.
  22. Sounds like just another regular day for Axl. I don't see any tirade here
