  1. Wait what? Have you heard Rock N Roll, Counterpunch, You Don't Understand and American Metalhead? Hmm, there is not one track that I kept off of "Angel Down". Got rid of the cd almost immediately and never regretted it. And "Slave To The Grind" is one of my top albums. I understand modern production (I actually prefer it), but I just don't get the piss poor song-writing and lack of memorable choruses. There's eighteen year old kids out there now writing bigger choruses than my so called "80's heroes". It's sad. Just sayin....
  2. It kind of annoys me that he knows that most fans would love for him to do something similar to a Skid Row type album again, but he just refuses. Even just a couple fist-pumping "anthem" type tracks would be nice. But noooooooooooooooooooo. Anyway, that's my rant. I'm done now.
  3. Backed. I actually like "Leave This Town" better than the debut as well. I think the song-writing was better, except for the last two tracks on it.
  4. Decent enough tune, but I hope the rest of the album is better. Daughtry never seems to disappoint though.
  5. "Falling" and "Last Thing" were indeed two of the best tracks on Tupelo Honey's new album. But, for me, the top spot would have to go to the ballad "Moment"! Great tune. I really need to find those old EPs (sadly I still only have digital copies) to check out this song. Just can't think of it off the top of my head. I do remember 'Morphine' was awesome, though. "Moment" is off of their new release. Its like track 5 or 6 I believe.

  7. Well crap. Apparently it's not on Itunes.
  8. Yes, "Live, Learn & Grow Apart" was my favorite track and the only track I ended up downloading. And Nightrain, Tupelo Honey is a good indie modern rock/hr band. Their song "Make Me Believe" off one of the older albums is one of the best ballads ever!
  9. I was looking around on Itunes and found that Tupelo Honey and Private Line both have new albums out. For those that like Tupelo Honey, be warned that they have a new lead singer. While he's a pretty solid replacement, I prefer their last one. Also be warned that Private Line's new one is nowhere near as good as "Evel Knievel Factor".
  10. The first Best Of The Best movie is a classic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  11. I just got back from Vegas last week. Hot as a mofo there right now. 104 degrees in the day. Hope you have fun. I never left the strip so I don't know how the pawn stores and cd stores are there.
  12. Damn. This is sad news if true. I always held out hope that he would reunite with the original Warrant members some day.
  13. I'm still having a hard time accepting the fact that you paid $25 for a CD. What is this world coming to?!! The last time I was on Amazon you couldn't even find it that cheap! And that's why I got it. And you're right, Karpetface, that is officially one of the most expensive CDs I have ever bought in my life. And well worth it
  14. The Brave "Battle Cries" is hands-down my favorite Christian hard rock album of all time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  15. I hope this is one of the filler tracks on the album. It just didn't do much to pump me up for the new release.
  16. Wow, those two songs were just plain painful to listen to. Definitely not my cup of tea.
  17. Sounds like a lot of potential in that promo. I liked most of what I just heard. Sounds like a good continuation after "Cartesian Dreams" which I still hold as their best release after "Demons Down".
  18. I checked 'em out on Itunes. Not too shabby. Definitely better than Slik Toxik ever was. I could have sworn I've heard their song "Dead Weight" before from some other band.
  19. I just picked up Bai Bang "Livin' My Dream" from NEH Records. This is some excellent melodic rock with huge sing-along choruses and lots of harmony. One of the years best so far imo. Great stuff!
  20. Yup, I got this cd a couple of weeks ago. Fantastic release!!!!! One of the best releases of the year so far imo. There was another thread where Dan posted a video of "Bounce". I hope more people give these guys a shot. I'd be bummed if they faded away after just one album from lack of sales.
  21. Yeah, elephants in the background are just lame on an album called "kicking and screaming".
  22. The whole album is AWESOME! One of the year's best imo. This was recommended to me by my brother metalmaniac777. It's one of his best recommendations ever! Loved it from start to finish.
  23. I'm a huge fan of Theory's last album "Scars & Souvenirs". But I gotta say I thought this latest release was a huge step backwards for them. This was mediocre at best and lacked any type of 'magic' from their last one. There's several solid tracks sprinkled throughout but overall there's nothing to warrant very many repeated listens imo.
