  1. I don't think I could ever get tired of listening to Evolution & Infinity - the 2 best Journey albums IMO :-)
  2. Love it!! Although according to most, it is too long has no chorus or hook and is just generally boring ;-) lol.
  3. There are so many great bands that I love - there wouldn't be much between the top 20 or so, but I guess that my fav 2 would be Journey & Harem Scarem. Equally brilliant discographies & I probably don't play their stuff half as much as I should, although thinking back over the years they are my most played bands. & after the demise of HS it was great to have the First Signal disc last year which was filler free and my fav of 2010.
  4. IMO no album is worth 100% - that means everything is perfect & nothing is perfect - there's always a guitar solo which could be better, a chorus more melodic or uplifting, a vocal which could be better. Of Andrews albums the WET, HS and journey would around 90% ish, and a few in the 80s - I think I rated Treat about 87% last year - a fine album but again not without it's faults. Cheers

    Journey

Apparently not just here. Quite a few people on Andrew's board calling the rating bollocks as well... Ha yeah I've already commented on that - there is a reason why I don't post over there anymore , way too much negativity. As for AM's rating, I guess you like what you like eh?? IMO no album is worth 100% not even the classics from the 80s but when I read comments like 'there's no memorable songs' on this album it does leave me scratching my head. As I said before to each their own. Cheers

    Journey

I'm a Journey fan & I dig it. So does every other Journey fan I know!! Except it seems on this board. Odd.
  7. listened to the whole thing last night....I love it :-)
  8. Looks like its for download only at the moment, but the hard copy CD will be available soon according to the bands facebook page.
  9. I absolutely love 'Too Late'....how awesome is that song?! killer riffs, vocals and guitar solo! Marvellous!!
  10. Coming fresh from the studio with their first full-length album in tow “Truth In Tragedy” - Previous members of Noise Therapy, Severfuse and Among The Betrayed have come together to create the new sound known as Stealing Eden. With their first single “Thrown Away” hitting radio (co-produced & mixed by Julius Butty) along side tracks like "Right In Front Of You" and “No One Else” (mixed by Mike Fraser) this project has set out to quickly garner the attention of both a national fan base and industry executives alike. As former rockers of the big stage the members of Stealing Eden have played with acts like Kid Rock, Sevendust , Incubus, Motley Crüe, and Seether - These four musicians come equipped with executive record label expertise, over 40,000 units sold worldwide, and North American touring under their belts. To support of the release of the new album ‘Truth In Tragedy”, the band is already liaising with some of the Industry’s Finest to co-ordinate North American touring and music video productions. With all of these past accomplishments, Stealing Eden is a project highly anticipated to take these talented guys the next level as their music is unleashed upon the world. Debut album released 12 April and its pretty awesome - check these out - now this is EXACTLY what I have been waiting for in the modern stakes. At last a modern album in 2011 to be truly excited about!!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lxhySnT8KoE http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uUHytj173Og&feature=related http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kpag_oT4yxU&feature=related http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X4JXFrxs7-0&feature=related http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=21vMeArJ5io&feature=related Wow, essential release in my book. Cheers guys

  14. I want it. Note to self....just order the f thing and stop forgetting :-( Is it better then High Gear?? Cheers
  15. Journey - Human Feel Schon at 3 mins is one of the moments of 2011 IMO.
  16. It's one of those albums that - if you have your Ipod on or something, and this album comes on - really grabs you by the testicles and after gently licking them, it just starts biting, but in a way that makes you want to dance and smile. Yeah I too had a sexual experience when listening to this album....a feeling of being screwed as the last half of the album was so weak ;-))
  17. Yeah me too, Im lovin these samples - sounds like it could be a really good AOR album.
  18. backed...Fools Bleed is a really good track...most of the others I could take or leave.
  19. 1 min 24 to be precise...........is that a long time?? Just in comparison Bad Habit take 1 min 13 to get to their first chorus on Atmosphere?? Miss Behaviour take 1 min 27 on theirs !! Didnt see people moaning about them?? Just making a point...............

    Journey

Eager to hear your comments mate...............but my recommendation is give it at least 5 spins before passing judgement cos man do these songs grow. Huge.
  21. Paradise Inc are quite unknown compared to say..... most things a certain eric martensen will release I was talking in terms of quality.
  22. boring you mean, apart from 2 songs - which I bet you can easily guess. Thats how boring it is :-(( np Journey - Eclipse I'd take the Coldspell disc 10 times over the new Journey album. LOL, your posts always give me a good chuckle........must be something in the Aussie water. np Dynazty - Knock You Down.
  23. That's pretty harsh, but I do agree to an extent. I didn't get the Monty Are I thing at all but the others were killer and I haven't heard anything since that's been remotely as good. Perhaps the new ALL TIME LOW will be a killer one, or they'll be another YOUNG GUNS disc like the first, but otherwise I don't see where a great disc will come from. The Destrophy sure 'aint it, and neither is The Blackout's fairly dull newie... The samples of the new Adelitas Way album due around June 10th sound pretty great actually so I have high hopes for that one :-)
