  1. Ive only listened to it once so far and yes I was a little disappointed in it. But I did hear some potential which means it might get better with repeat spins.........unlike some other garbage ive heard this year like Faithealer, Bonfire, Coldspell etc........ BOOOOO.... I liked the Coldspell CD... but I agree about the Bonfire CD. HUGE disappointment for me. Oh that Coldpsell is just soooo monotonous and boring (except for Time & Seven Wonders of course which are both great)
  2. Its far more U2 than Journey IMO. Good song from a good follow up album, but song of 2011....Mmmmm. There are far better songs about IMO.........
  3. Happy birthday mate...........i'll but you a beer at Firefest ;-))

  5. quite surprise you didn't like Coldspell, i guess i can find 4-5 killer tracks in an instant, but i think 2 fillers are passable, the rest are good and great, a grower for sure, probably will be better for you after 2-3 spins Err no I dont think it will. Pretty much the only 2 tracks I (really) like are 'Time' & 'Seven Wonders'...........most of the others just bore the pants off me, with the plodding riffs and monotonous chorus lines....yawn. The production sounds really good, but the songs are just dull and uninspired. Edens Curse absolutely crucifies it from the word go.
  6. Harem Scarem's debut, Dream Theater 'Images & Words' & Bill Champlin 'Runaway'. 10/10 in my books Ha ha only just seen this. Harem Scarem is definitely a 90%+ but again still not 100%.......that would mean every song, every note being perfect, which it isnt. As for Dream Theater.....LOL, nowhere near. Havent listened to it for ages, but would struggle past 80%.......just??
  7. Neither was I. This however sounds great. Heard these over at Melrock a week or so back. Could be huge.
  8. Nice one, I`ve had mine on order for ages, hope it comes soon
  9. Edens Curse - Cant Fool The Devil
  10. Coldspell - Out From The Cold [apart from 2 songs this is serious Zzzzzz] Edens Curse - Trinity
  11. which version, Jap? Not sure, mate. The one with the shit production. If the Jap one has bonus tracks then I think this is just the Euro one. In which case, if the other one sounds better than this I think I'll try the other. Good songs, but weak production - especially those piss-weak drums. Does it end with 'Stand As One'.....that's the Jap version and its sounds great to me ? In fact 'The Great Delusion' kicked my arse into next week lol! Yep, that's the one. Wow, you dug that production job? I thought it was so much weaker than the debut, and a real pet hate of mine is albums with shit-sounding drums... and this one has them for sure. As I said, good songs, but the production leaves a lot to be desired. Mmm will have to listen again, but didnt notice anything too bad. And for the record, the songs are WAY better than the debut, which pretty much sucked bar a song or two, if memory serves me right.
  12. Yeah Ive read NOTHING about The Storm either so that is a big doubt. Would be cool if it happens tho.
  13. Totally agreed. The whole thing seems to be a bit convenient in its timing as well. At a time when Obama is coming under a lot of fire from all directions, suddenly this makes it all go away. I'm not necessarily saying it didnt happen (although the fact the body was disposed of so quickly does seem suspect to many considering the circus that was Sadams trial and execution), just that it seems to me that maybe his where abouts has been known (especially considering how close he was to a military base). I was thinking the same about the timing. Plus it's only a few months until the 10 year anniversary of 9/11, an event that can be celebrated with a lot more closure once Bin Laden's gone. I'm sure his whereabouts have been known for some time but all the time politicians are making the decisions then they'll choose the time that suits them best. Plus, whatever they say about how he resisted arrest, they were never going to capture him alive regardless as it would've all then dragged-out into a farcical court case (he could never ever get a fair trial) whereas this way Obama could dictate the timing... God you lot are a cynical bunch. lol. Are you on these conspiracy theory forums as well ;-)) The one question I would like answered (if the US did know he was dead yonks ago) is why the British government has been blowing 100s of £millions of taxpayers money trying to flush the twat out for the last 10 years ???!
  14. Its already been a hell of year and with all these gems still to come, should end up being awesome.
  15. 2 today........ Dynazty - Sleeping With The Enemy & Voodoo Circle - When Destiny Calls

  17. Here are the last 2 - "No new WET this year. Toby Hitchcock will suit perfectly instead! Erik Martensson strikes again." "Is the new Work Of Art album one of the best pure keyboard AOR albums of the last decade? Answer comes in August. But I'll give you hints..." Yum. Cant wait!!
  18. Destrophy - Cry Havoc The Poodles - Performacracy Within Temptation - The Unforgiving (special Edition) Shine - Abused Romance [this was free from their website - pretty good, for fans of Anberlin]
  19. Totally agreed. its all been fairly quiet on the US and UK home soil, Why is it always us involved?? Our country is skint and yet still we are first to step up to spend yet more millions firing missilles at dust. Ridiculous really.
  20. They lobbed him in the sea so there would be no 'grave site' on solid ground for the extremists to turn into a shrine.
  21. Great album. Puts some of the so called MHR bands to shame IMO.
  22. The sad inc. club ! Cheers buddy! Ah well, faced with the very real prospect of having to become a full time fan of Maidstone United a year ago, I'm as happy as a labrador eating its own sick! Roll on next season, maybe we can reach the giddy heights of mid table! You hope ! stick with a relegation battle.....mid table obscurity bores the pants off me :-(
