  1. Street Talk > all those other albums combined (including Eclipse) AOR classic. Oh stop it!! Silence. The first track is nice pop rock but the rest is mostly utter garbage. Take out the first song, and any single song on the other albums (except Siam and Journey) is better than that entire album. And for the record, I even prefer Siam to it... and that is not a compliment. Siam is pretty painful... but not as weak as the Steve Perry disc. The other albums all rate about 40% higher than 'Street Talk.' This is, of course, excluding 'Eclipse,' which is only just better than 'Street Talk' but still terrible. Could I also hazard a guess that you may not actually have heard some/many/any of the other albums on that list? All except Siam....whoever they are. Your opinion is as usual a lonely one ;-)
  2. Poor. That album is superb - great songs, great lyrics. Really mature comeback release. Now THIS is poor - From The Fire
  3. I'd be interested to see if that remains there after you play it back. I always thought it was okay too - it does not stand the rest of time. I love the closing ballad, but could basically leave the rest, to be honest. Weak album, imo. Only their first two are worth a thing from these guys, sadly. Disagree, I still like it a lot. Yep. Just listened to it yesterday to see if he was right. Of course, no surprise, he was wrong. It's a solid effort. Geoff is right. The debut is easily their best and for me the rest of their releases are patchy and inconsistent. There's usually a great track or two, maybe 3 on all post debut albums. Shame, could have been a great band. Of course I'm right. I absolutely adore those first two albums and their sound and style, and wish they had been magnificent for every album afterwards... but they just really, truly weren't. 'I live my life for you' and maybe 'No one at all' are the only songs from '3' I ever really need to hear again. For the most part, the rest is okay, but nothing that needs repeating, sadly. The debut is patchy too imo This band only have 2 truly killer songs - All She Wrote Reach For The Sky
  4. Street Talk > all those other albums combined (including Eclipse) AOR classic.
  5. Is that AOR? I've never heard The Mob, but nothing about Doug Pinnick suggests AOR. yeah I doubt Doug Pinnick has an AOR bone in his body.......... plenty of non-melodious ones though ;-)
  6. I like both to be honest......good tune. If the album maintains that quality it could be rather good.
  7. if it was all like the first song it would be great.
  8. Eclipse - Armagedonnise [love this band.....please release another album soon!]
  9. Yeah agreed on Dynazty - still sounds like they are continuing down the power metal, million miles an hour garbage. Real shame.
  10. Surely 99% of people are only fussed about Axl/Slash ??
  11. Wow, ouch. Wouldn't it have been better to just stop listening to music all together? Agreed - apart from that Matchbox 20 album which i love
  12. yeah but aren't lightbulbs supposed to last about 15 years now or something?? guess that is why they are so expensive.
  13. I'll remember them as I saw them in the 1993 thanks. Great gig.
  14. Slim pickings for me in 1995 - here's what interested me in alphabetical order Amaze Me Amaze Me * Artica As It Should Be * Bad Habit Revolution * Bon Jovi These Days * Firehouse 3 * Foo Fighters – s/t * Gunshy Mayday * Harem Scarem Voice of Reason * Alanis Morissette – Jagged Little Pill * Nelson Because They Can Oasis – Whats The Story * Pretty Maids Scream * Slaughter Fear No Evil * Jeff Scott Soto Jeff Scott Soto Presents Love Parade * The Storm Eye of the Storm * Toto – Tambu * Vain Fade
  15. I heard that track on you tube and its pretty cool - be interested if the album is all that good.
  16. Most TNT is weak. All of their best songs could just about fill a disc imo.
  17. Having posted that he did sound ok on the Starbreaker album.
  18. He is the most overrated singer in our tiny genre. Consistently sounds like a cat being strangled.
  19. Thats the one you want - their best album for me....then Bleed & Scream closely followed by Armmagedon whatever. All the last 3 are great though and essential
  20. Foo Fighters - The Colour and the Shape
