  1. You can still sound 'raw' and have a great production. Sounding shit, muffled and flat there is no excuse. Almost compressed to the point you cannot make out the individual instruments.
  2. Oh, and as for Rose, his voice fits GnR perfectly, but is he a great vocalist?? I think not....pretty nasal and whiny to these ears.
  3. Very random, but true. Can't wait for the new one either. Absolutely love this band. agreed apart from Nick > Dio which is a ludicrous statement. RJD = probably the greatest rock vocalist in history disagree on Leckremo, Axl Rose, Dio, and Bruce Dickinson, well the rest are okay I would probably agree about Dickinson at his peak, but he sounds like strained drunk cat these days As for Leckremo....I like his vocals but would always take a US/Brit (and by Brit I mean someone who doesn't sing in their dialect!! Like for example Overland, Wharton, Workman etc) non accented (to me!) voice over an accented Euro voice.
  4. My disc not arrived yet but hope to have tomorrow. What I have heard (quite a bit) is excellent imo. Immediate, catchy, hard hitting - like a perfect cross of WET and Maids. Unless there are some major clunkers in the songs I've not heard then I would be amazed if this didn't feature very highly for me this year.
  5. That saves me listening to it then - I thought the last album wasn't that great
  6. Hell yes on the Station... such potential, but sounds unfinished... Apparently I need to give a more proper listen to that Cats in Space release. Cats in Space, or Care of Night? quite frankly I don't think either will be up Pete's street....we'll see.
  7. thanks for the recommendations guys. Some I have obviously - like Pretty Wild (great album forgot about that one).
  8. The songs on that Savage Playground are so good. Still annoys me they ballsed that production job up so badly. A real shame
  9. Still an odd comment to send to fans. If fans listen to Spotify they may support the artist in other ways - attending gigs buying merchandise etc
  10. Nice read. Shame hes not writing for Toby Hitchcock...or not mentioned at least.
  11. Nothing wrong with 1996 - except for the shitty music of course LOL - I get why you would say that tho - my phone ones actually look cool on Android, but they look f ridiculous now I've logged on at work...........
  12. Ha bloody ha. I tell ya what i did forget : Confess. & as if my magic their update pops up in my facebook news feed. New album due soon but minus the bass player, Lucky. Cant wait - last album was great
  13. Ok my phone ones work - ill do that in future ?
  14. I use the lite version, too. Don't know what you're on about. Well on my lite version i have no option to add emoticons - just quote and reply
  15. The lite version of this site on my phone
  16. I use the lite version cos it formats better
  17. yesterday I was watching an acoustic tribute by 2 of my fav artists - Dan Reed and Age Sten (Wig Wam/Ammunition) They were singing 'Space Oddity' It was enjoyable but paled against the original - makes you realise how unique and awesome Bowie was as artist / singer.
  18. I feel a bit out of the loop regards this genre. I was discussing this the other day whilst listening to Crashdiet's Generation Wild and seriously wondered if this was the last truly great sleaze album (2010?) But then I remembered Peepshow's Brand New Breed, but even that is from 2012........ What happened, and did I miss anything worthwhile?? [PS, I consider Crazy Lixx melodic hard rock so ignore them]
