  1. I think Geoff's up for a tasty lunch: http://heavyharmonies.ipbhost.com/index.php?showtopic=23456&view=findpost&p=541968
  2. Umm... you need to listen to more recent Linkin Park. Some fairly melodic stuff. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=51iquRYKPbs http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YLHpvjrFpe0 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bYa7RWub0g8 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=acgvRle07GI And my two favorites (the second is particularly bad ass, both song and video!): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pMePM9Q-bYk http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ysSxxIqKNN0
  3. Buhbye Patsies!! Nothing gives me more warm fuzzies than seeing Belicheat getting his face rubbed in shit. I like the Jets' moxy. Quite possible that my Eagles may have given the eventual superbowl winner their toughest challenge in the playoffs. I like Packers over the Jets in the Superbowl at this point.
  4. From what I can find, "V" was the bonus track on the Japanese release. The "Special Edition" appears to be digital-only. I found it on I-Tunes, but no evidence of any physical-media special edition. -Dan
  5. Reborn Classics? Wow, that's a blast from the past! Didn't those come out of Italy? I believe a lot of vintage boot stuff originated there... -Dan
  6. Fuckin' conservative assholes. I just love these kind of human beings. You need to learn what a conservative actually is. You just offended quite a few people with that statement. Not all conservatives are religious wingnuts. One can be an agnostic or atheist and still be a conservative. Moreover, one can be liberal on social issues, but conservative on fiscal/governmental issues. I consider myself to be in this latter camp. Then there are the people who will vote Republican (or Democrat) not necessarily out of any ideological agreement, but rather "the lesser of two evils." Don't parallel conservatism with religious zealotry. The two do not necessarily overlap. -Dan
  7. Those fucking douchebags again?? It takes a lot for me to wish painful death upon a whole group of people, but if ever there was a deserving group, these are them. For those unfamiliar, this is the group of religious cunts that show up at funerals for soldiers killed in action claiming that the reason for their deaths is divine retribution for America's tolerance of homosexuality. It's the batch of wingnuts that The Patriot Guard Riders was orgnized in response to: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Patriot_Guard_Riders
  8. Vegas collectively lost $87.2 billion on the Seahawks game today. Whodathunk?
  9. Y'all got on this boat for different reasons, but y'all come to the same place. So now I'm asking more of you than I have before. Maybe all. Sure as I know anything, I know this - they will try again. Maybe on another world, maybe on this very ground swept clean. A year from now, ten? They'll swing back to the belief that they can make people... better. And I do not hold to that. So no more runnin'. I aim to misbehave.
  10. What label is it on? I will only post samples from albums that I have an agreement with the record label, or if the band submits directly to me. [bEGIN RANT] Some labels are good about providing either physical promo CDs or full-length high resolution mp3s (Frontiers, Eonian, Sun City, Stormspell, Tribunal/Divebomb, Z Records). Others have no interest in having their material promoted here or will not provide any promo material whatsoever (Kivel, Metal Heaven). And still others have promised to get me material for YEARS, but have yet to follow up and provide anything despite repeated promises (Retrospect). If you can't tell, it's more than a little irritating to have to try and pull teeth to get promotional audio for the site... you'd think I was charging a fee for it. Then again, I've made it known for years that banner advertising on the main site is FREE for record labels and bands, yet most aren't even interested in making the effort to provide banner images or information. People don't even want shit for free... hell, maybe I should start charging for it; then they might actually show interest. [END RANT] -Dan
  11. Samples for all tracks from the following posted. Benedictum - Dominion John Waite - Rough and Tumble Mr. Big - What If Ten - Stormwarning http://www.heavyharmonies.com/cgi-bin/audio.cgi
  12. Why can't you give a refund through PayPal? The ability to refund through PayPal is not dependent upon the status of the transaction at eBay. You just go to the original transaction page in PayPal and issue the refund from there. Fees are reversed, no problem. The only time you cannot issue a refund through PayPal is if the 45-day (60 day?) window has expired. -Dan
  13. Still 2010 here, at least for another 2 hours. Me, I'm partyin' hard with the 3 cats sleeping next to, above, and behind my computer.... Quite a bit different from age 20. Happy New Year yadda yadda yadda. -Dan
  14. Hrmm... I'm of mixed emotions on this one. On the one hand, digital has become a valid disribbution medium, but on the other it's not a tangible, physical item, which is kinda what the whole collecting mindset revolves around. It's not an actual release... really. Here's a question: Do industry sales charts include digital-only releases with physical media or do they have their own separate chart? Then there's the mechanics of listing those items. While some have "artwork" created by the band, some do not. Do we come up with a generic "DIGITAL" image to take the place of cover art for those that don't have it? One thing that I don't like about digital-only releases is that they seem to spawn home-grown entrepreneurs selling CDRs of the download on eBay under the guise of being a real release. That ends up muddying the waters... Good discussion though. -Dan
  15. I'm guessing you can't pick that stuff up at the local Wal-Mart...
  16. Meh. She was so much hotter before she decided to destroy her face and become Angelina Jolie. The pre-plastic surgery was MUCH finer.
  17. Well, there's no reason to have a shitty attitude about it.
  18. Well... this thread has taken an interesting turn. Not that I should be surprised or anything.
  19. I wouldn't go that far. They still have issues that need to be addressed. Their bullpen is still weak, and their offensive production was down last year. They've lost Werth, who was an excellent clutch player for them. Only time will tell whether Dominic Brown will be an effective replacement. It's their offense that concerns me, especially since the team is getting older. -Dan
  20. And it would have been any different had he signed with the Yankees for more money?
  21. Cliff Lee turned down 6 years and $138 million offered by the Yankees to accept 5 years $100 million from the Phillies. Apparently both he and his wife really liked their time with Philly, and he likes the guys and the clubhouse environment. Talk about a dream starting lineup: 1. Roy Halliday 2. Cliff Lee 3. Roy Oswalt 4. Cole Hamels Damn. -Dan
  22. Just say no to WoW. I should know, I went through a phase of playing it pretty heavily. It's loads of fun, the possibilities are endless, and it will steal your soul and free time like nothing else. I've been taking a break from it for about 3 months now, and just need to stay away. Seriously, it burns time like you can't imagine... -Dan
  23. Listen to the album in its entirety a few times. It will grow on you. Coup de Grace is still up there though... -Dan
