  1. Very well done, both audio and video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q-ZlRl1_4Ws&feature=related
  2. But there was no return involved, so this point is moot. Initially the seller was railing against the buyer for wanting to do a return. The anger is misplaced; it should be directed against Amazon for not following its own return policies and procedures. All that said, if the buyer is indeed a member of this board and has gotten a refund from Amazon, he should make good and return the CD to the seller as Amazon should have forced him to do from the beginning. That would be the fair thing to do. The seller should not be out both the money AND the CD.
  3. Ergf. 1. Let's leave God out of this. I somehow doubt he's going to inflict 7 plagues just because someone did a return on Amazon. 2. If there is an argument to be had, I think it is more so with Amazon and their allowing a refund without the buyer having to return the merchandise, than with the buyer per se (see below). Has the seller tried to communicate with Amazon in a manner other than an online fill-in form, i.e., picking up the phone, to determine WHY Amazon did not require the return of the merchandise as they normally do? Amazon, eBay... anyone who has sold there for more than 10 minutes should know that as a seller you are giving a 30-45 dey return privilege (depending on venue), REGARDLESS of what you have described in your listing. It's old news. It's one of the things you deal with as a seller. Rant. Rave. Move on. It's not going to change. Most importantly: until someone is proven to be a repeat scammer (and I'm sorry but filing a return through Amazon does NOT constitute being labeled as a scammer), posting a buyer's or seller's private information here on the board is a no-no. -Dan
  4. To filter low feedback go to your account page and scroll down to Buyer Requirements. Scroll down to the box that says apply this block to buyers who have a feedback score of "dropdown box" or lower. The limit is 5. Then click apply. That should work. Thanks for the info that should do the trick... You might want to doublecheck those eBay settings. You cannot filter low-feedback users. The only ones you can block are those with negative feedback. The setting you guys are looking at is for limiting the number of purchases that a low-feedback user can make from you. You can set it so that someone with 5 or lower feedback can only buy or bid on 1 item within a 10-day period, but you cannot block them entirely.
  5. It's a cross between vintage Madonna and the Eurythmics, with just a dash of Erasure thrown in for good measure. EDIT: Actually, the more I listen to this, many of the styles and riffs are COMPLETELY lifted from Madonna's material. Like shamelessly so.
  6. Maybe this belongs in the "guilty pleasures" thread... I tend to avoid things that are mainstream and/or "in vogue", so I never really listened to Lady Gaga, thinking she was another loony "performance artist" ala Bjork. Am just now listening to her last album "Born this Way", and damned if most of it isn't pop/techno straight out of the mid-late 1980s. There are a few oddball outliers, but most of it is stuff I can easily envision having had videos on MTV back in its heyday. MUCH better than I was expecting. Certainly not HH material, but actually quite well done. -Dan
  7. What. A. Bag. Of. Douche. Blocked, and thank you for giving this nitwit's ID.
  8. Unfortunately, since this is not automated spam, there's nothing that can be done. These aren't bots; they are real life douchebags taking the time to register and make posts. EDIT: Strike that, I've found a few things I'm going to try...
  9. 1. Buyers on Amazon never read the fine print. Period. 2. It's not eBay, where the buyer can try and do whatever they want to extort a refund. Amazon has very explicit and rigid procedures for how to handle returns. 3. Amazon buyers, like eBay buyers, can return anything for any reason at any time. As a seller you have no say.
  10. I've never had to deal with this, so this is just my 2 cents. With the vehicle only being a few months old, there's no way you should have to eat $2K. They're trying to lowball you. Call your insurance agent and have them appeal. -Dan
  11. Damn. Far too young. Mac-era Threshold is one of my favorite alltime bands. -Dan
  12. Standouts for me thus far: Black Veil Brides Lionville Within Temptation Ten
  13. I was under the impression that gap insurance was almost exclusively for leases not purchases. 3 months in, unless you've got some sort of cut-rate insurance policy, they should be replacing the car outright. You shouldn't be out anything. Glad the missus is ok. -Dan
  14. 30 years of MTV... and only the first 10 of them actually showing anything resembling music. The last 20 years it's been nothing but an urban reality TV channel... might as well rename it to BET2. Meh.
  15. Phillies get Hunter Pence from the Astros in a STEAL of a deal (4 no-name minor league players and Houston pays Philly $1M). Eagles swoop in out of nowhere and sign Nnamdi Asomugha, and no one saw it coming. Possibility that Asante Samuel may be out the door, but right now the Eagles OWN all the CBs in the NFL. At the end of 2009 the Eagles snuck in and grabbed Michael Vick, which has turned out great thus far. No one saw the Phillies being the winner in the Cliff Lee sweepstakes. The front offices of the Philly teams have been doing a GREAT job of keeping things under wraps, and scoring some great trades. The Eagles just got an excellent trade for Kevin Kolb (who is now sickly overpaid) and then today signed Vince Young to a 1-year deal to back up Vick. Some may say that Vince Young is a waste of a slot, but Andy Reid is good at these "human reclamation projects" ala Vick. It's a good fit. I'm psyched.
  16. Damn. That's cold... well actually, so is she. Thankyew! I'll be here all week. Try the veal.
  17. Not entirely unexpected... http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-2018020/Amy-Winehouse-dead--Found-dead-London-flat.html

  19. Visually and thematically they might be country, but musically they are way more Westcoast AOR than country, in the same vein as the Eagles. And yes, they rule. Bluest Eyes in Texas is just a monster of a song. I personally would have added them to HH years ago, but for potentially opening the door to arguments about other country artists. -Dan P.S. Tell me the chorus on this track isn't pure Westcoast: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X10r1ufziyI&feature=related
  20. Well, it takes being proactive to be able to put a stop to people like this. Right now, only one person has sent me any information. If this is going to work, it's going to take more people coming forward... I'm sure that in the eyes of PayPal it's going to take more than 2 to create a pattern (I don't have faith that PayPal will spend a lot of time on this scouring through histories unless I can hit them with enough people to catch their attention).
  21. Anyone here at HH who has had a claim filed against them by Martin Levine (either as windsoreyes or windsoreyes2) for SNAD (not non-receipt claims), please contact me via PM with the following information (if you don't mind sharing it with me): 1. Your eBay userID at the time of the claim 2. The email address on your PayPal account 3. The date he filed the claim against you. 4. The PayPal transaction number associated with the claim. 5. The dollar amount of the claim. 6. The end result (you had to refund, he withdrew the claim, etc.) You can find this information by logging into your PayPal account and going to the Resolution Center. You can view closed cases as far back as 18 months. To get the transaction number, click on "View case details" for a claim and it will be the long number in parentheses as part of the title. I will compile this information and forward it to the Fraud Division at PayPal, since I have an open dispute with him and have initiated a fraud investigation. If you know of any discussions concerning Martin Levine on other trading/selling message boards, please let the membership there know as well, along with any other people that you know have been hit by him. If they are not HH board members, they can email me the information at webmaster@heavyharmonies.com. I need information ASAP. Let's get this crook. Thanks, -Dan
  22. Predictable like clockwork. Levine signed for the parcel yesterday afternoon, and this morning I wake up to find a SNAD dispute filed through PayPal. Claims the package was smashed and that he sent it back unopened. Says that he "tried to message me through eBay", but funny that my eBay Inbox shows no such communication exists. I just got off the phone with the Merchant Support Division at PayPal. A very nice lady gave me several suggestions, since we're in a holding pattern until a package arrives at my end. She seconded the idea of being sure to open the parcel in front of a postal supervisor and having them write a statement as to the returned parcel's contents. I gave her his previous eBay username and she is forwarding both eBay userIDs to the Fraud division for an investigation into repeat claim abuse. Anyone here at HH who has had a claim filed against them by Martin Levine (either as windsoreyes or windsoreyes2) for SNAD (not non-receipt claims), please contact me via PM with the following information (if you don't mind sharing it with me): 1.
