anyone know much about them? I have a couple songs by them and it reminds me a lot of Aldo Nova's Blood On The Bricks cd.

They had ties to Aldo Nova, he even produced their one and only album (which was released with two different covers). Here is a little bio I wrote

This album is worth owning but there is nothing steller there. I can think of 50 other bands that put out one cd in the early '90's that smoke this one. Production didn't help this one out at all. Still there are a few stand outs but the cd keeps going for more everyday.

Pfffffffffffffffth! Saints & Sinners are GREAT!!! I love this album! Durn near wore it out when I finally got my hands on it!!!

"Walk That Walk" is probably my fave tune. "Frankenstein" is simply awesome! "Takin' My Chances" is an absolutely beautiful ballad. "Kiss The Bastards" was written by Jon Bon Jovi and Rachel Bolen....and is very, VERY good!

Yeah......I 'kinda' like this one!!! :bananamac:

Man, my favorites are completely different. "We Belong" is the true anthem here with an over-the-top AOR chorus. "Rip It Up" is pure Crue!! Love this disc... but not too big on Rick Hughes' prior band, SWORD.

I just got this cd off ebay a few weeks back and play it all the time it. I loved Rick Hughes when he was in Sword and think he has a fantastic voice. I was surprised when I found out he was in this band so I had to track it down.

One question I have is what's up with the 2 different covers? And is one harder to find than the other?

It's surprising to hear the differing faves on this disc. I agree with Koogles that 'We belong' is the essential melodic hard rock track off this disc... a stunning song, that one.

But for me it is 'Slipping into darkness' that clearly steals the show and is by far my fave - a truly tremendous track!!!

Love 'Takin' my chances' as well, and 'Wheels of fire' is probably my fave of the rockers... though there are some great ones like 'Rip it up' etc. Overall, just good solid hard rock - well played, well produced. Always liked this album a lot.

I think my favorite track is Frankenstein, followed by Slipping Into Darkness.

I too was supprised when I 1st found out that it was the same Rick Hughes as the guy in Sword, a band who were criminally underated in my book.

SAINTS & SINNERS...awesome band...in-yer-face attitude, cranking guitars, ripping riffs, huge hooks, explosive choruses, monster vocals...what's not to like? Not a bad song in sight, but for me, "Kiss the Bastards" is an absolute masterpiece, but I'm a sucker for a good revenge tale. :hammer:

    • Safe, but a nice song.  Did they name their band after a random HEAT song?
    • Really good band, but haven't heard from them in an absolute age. Shame if all they're doing is a few covers.  The 'Bye bye bye' cover is killer.  'I want it that way' is a great song anyway, but their version is gold. Love that.  But just to prove you can't polish a dog turd, no one could make 'Thriller' sound listenable to me.  Amplified even more with 'Believer.' No Imagine Dragons song should ever be covered or allowed to be acknowledged that it was even actually recorded. Horrendous band and I hate the cover only a tiny bit less than the original, which is a tonne.
    • Kickin' riff. This is a cool tune indeed. New album sounding promising.
    • Doesn't do much for me. Not sure it's any better than what I've heard from the new BJ album... but I guess it's not too bad. Wouldn't play it again, though.
    • Bit 50/50 on it, myself. I prefer the stuff on Mick's solo album, but it's not a bad song. That kind of solo in a Motley song definitely sticks out... but not in a bad way. It's cool. I dig.
    • Did they actually break up? They were releasing albums annually and finally fixed up the production end but haven't heard from them for a while now. Always loved everything they released, personally.  Edit - yeah, 'Be Here' from 2020 seems to be the last album. Allegedly still active, but obviously no recent albums. Would love to hear them add to the discography.
    • Released back in 2019 on vinyl only in most of the world, the only place it could be purchased on CD was Japan. It is finally available on CD to the rest of the world with the addition of two bonus tracks. One is the usual "bonus" track of a live recording of Go man go, and the other is the song Don't give up which was released at the start of the pandemic as a single. https://townsendmusic.store/product/140275?lf=035f179d9c80928d2d3b155fa72b0731 Follow the breadcrumbs to a sonic treasure trove with Alice Cooper's "Breadcrumbs" EP, which will be available on CD for the first time ever, featuring additional bonus tracks on this edition! Originally released in 2019 as a limited-edition 10" vinyl record, "Breadcrumbs" is a tribute to the garage rock heroes of Alice Cooper's hometown of Detroit. The EP features six tracks that showcase Cooper's raw and energetic take on classic Detroit tunes, including Suzi Quatro's "Your Mama Won't Like Me", Bob Seger's "East Side Story", and the MC5's "Sister Anne". It also includes the two additional bonus tracks "Don’t Give Up", conveying Cooper’s message of hope and perseverance to his fans during the COVID-19 pandemic, and a live version of "Go Man Go" from his electrifying set at Hellfest 2022. The album featured a star-studded lineup of Detroit musicians, including Wayne Kramer of the MC5, Johnny "Bee" Badanjek of the Detroit Wheels, and Mark Farner of Grand Funk Railroad. "Breadcrumbs" marked the beginning of Alice Cooper's homecoming, a journey that culminated in the critically acclaimed studio album "Detroit Stories", released in 2020. This EP served as a taste of Cooper's profound affection for his hometown's rich musical heritage, making it an essential addition for any devoted fan of the shock rock icon.   1.
