This is hilarious, my dads older brother, my uncle Mike, retired at the beginning of 2019, his wife my aunt died in 1990, all he's done is work and make mega money, all my cousins are grown up, and I guess he got bored and at 64 he figured ya cant take it when you go, so he announced he was getting married, almost a month b4 he retired, he didn't mention she was 22, then they went out to get his retirement gift, he also wanted a car, after 3 days of nobody hearing from them, they finally showed up in his new retirement gift to himself, a 2019 AM. I got hysterical cause I thought he got an AM Skyfall, but it wasn't, it was just their baseline model.

AM is not my uncles style in any way shape or form, it was very bizarre and I wish I could've taken a crack at the step aunt b4 he sent her packing, anyways during the lock-down sometime, Mike showed up to check on me, and talk about missing my dad, and when he went to leave it dawned on me, I said Mike, what the fuck? where the fuck is your little low IQ bimbo wife, he told me he had a couple bouts of buyers remorse, and he got rid of her, and traded the AM in for a 2020 Silverado, I only got to drive the AM for about 10 minutes, and I wasn't anywhere near a long stretch of empty road, but I have drove his new truck, and personally, if I was just trying to get pussy, of course id take the AM, but other then that, the Silverado is fucking amazing, and I'd take it in a second, the AM is really not that cool after the novelty wears off, I'll stick to my Jeep.

He finally told me what it boiled down to, as far as the cars go anyways, not the hot little big mouthed bimbo, so the Silverado is as much to repair as that AM would've been, possibly more expensive, AM parts aren't available at Autozone, when he called around he could only find 2 mechanics in the state that would even consider working on the AM, so anytime it needed to be serviced, he'd have had to go to Vegas to do it, FUCK THAT! vehicle maintenance is an absolute deal breaker and it boggles my brain when I see just how ignored it is in the process of people purchasing vehicles, and when you bring it up, people blow you off like your a fucking idiot, and like cars don't need maintenance, its so important, I'm sure you all know, but its just something that floors me.

I've never been a fan of trucks but that AM is nice although way out of my price range....actually that truck is out of my price range too, those things are ridiculously expensive....anyway I love my Mustang and do not regret buying it, extremely fun to drive...

That is quite the story and I can relate. After 30+ years of being a working class stiff I am more than ready for 3 0r 4 20's and probably a Lambo, but as a wiser man than I once said "tits or tires your bound for problems"...

But as an even wiser man once said, "Oh, let me have just a little bit of peril!"

    • Well this is some excellent news. Going to see Sophie Lloyds first headline show on 17th Oct in London (tiny club called The Underworld) and it has just been announced that the support act will be Chez Kane... can I handle two fit birds peforming on stage or will my heart give out before the show is over?
    • I don't rate or grade albums with any kinda numbering system or percentage. All I do is think which were the albums I enjoyed most, which generally means got played the most (I mean you don't play the worst albums over and over again for months), with memorable songs. Then when it comes to what order they go in. Once again, I just go with what I feel got the most airplay for me over the course of time. Obviously an album released in Jan is gonna potentially have more play time than one released in November, but It's down to longevity as well. If I play an album solidly for a month then move on, it's probably gonna be top 10, but if other albums are still being played regularly 3 or more months after release, those are gonna rank higher. I mean this year Judas Priest was a fairly early release in the year, but I am still playing it now, although  not as often. Then an album like Mick Mars which I loved, but has kinda fallen off my radar in the last six months, will rank a lot lower. I try to not go for recency bias as well even though I have been listening to one album in my top 10 for only a week, but it was such an insantaneous album I know its gonna get heavy play time for the next few months.
    • Good Times Roll-The Cars
    • Video for 'I'll Stand For You'.
    • New song 'Who Am I' taken from the album 'Into The Great Unknown' out November 15 through Frontiers.
    • @Darkstone, I just randomly clicked on your link and listened to "Hardened Heart." In the interest of full disclosure, I am not personally a fan of AI music--I find something about the vocals sterile and offputting--but I wanted to say that I thought that particular song sounded like something White Lion would have done back in the day. Nice power ballad, despite my aforementioned issues with AI tunes. While it's not for me, I'm glad people have an outlet for their creative impulses, and there's no doubt some cool stuff is emerging, with "Hardened Heart" being among the best I've heard.
    • Isn't that like the Hawaii situation all over again? But at least the Ukraine have all the US-funded weapons they need, I guess.  Anyway, Mike, sounds really full on but I am glad that you and your family are well, relatively speaking. Wishing you and all the surrounding communities a worthy recovery.
    • Quite sad, my band probably would have shared a stage with these guys in December...
    • That new sound is great...a new singer too by the looks of it...loving that
    • Glad to hear that you and your family are safe Whiplash ,just sounds so terrible what you are all going through,my thoughts are with you.
