Really? Am I tripping, or do others hear what I'm hearing? To me, it's actually close to unlistenable, it's that bad. Back to back with any other album I've heard this year, it hand-to-christ sounds like a $3.50 demo from an unsigned band in 1984.

It's a bit muffled but it doesn't bother be that much. I really dig "Needle To The Bone".

Geoff doesn't like less that amazing production. Turns out the Pope is Catholic. 

Clearly they're trying to get that 'early' raw sound and after the first couple of spins I'd say they've managed it pretty well.

I really don't think I'm being extreme here. And I hate this notion that being "raw" is cool and a throwback and that in 2019 it's a "rad idea" to sound like a band who has never left their garage since 1984, let alone ever had the opportunity to enter a studio or have any success. 

I haven't done it yet, but I'm 100% sure that if you play their debut back to back with this, this is still going to sound like a pile of dogshit that someone left on the studio doorstep, set it alight and ran. 

Sorry doods, can't sugarcoat it. If they were going for a raw sound, then yes, they achieved their goal and sound like a garage band recording a demo with their collective $3.50. Well done, guys. Top achievement. 

Anyway, because it's LA Guns I played it through a few times, but the songs are really poor too, imo. No doubt, my enjoyment of the songs is probably tarnished because of the dreadful sound, but I just don't dig these actual songs either.
