Biography:

The much anticipated second album from “rock sensation” THE NEW ROSES has arrived, receiving praise from national and international critics alike. Though the band hails from the beautiful Rheingua region of Germany, their fan-base also includes die-hard rock-n-rollers from Switzerland, Austria, Spain and France. After 80 shows in the last 12 months, the band has earned the title “best hard rock band of today”(ROCK HARD FRANCE).

 

“THE NEW ROSES’ thrilling sound brings stadium rock back to the stage,” proclaims EMP, Germany’s biggest rock magazine and critics are promising “a complete, exceptional phenomenon in the […] rock scene” (METAL HAMMER). “Forceful rock-hymns[..] driving guitars and a unique voice makes [the new album] a real rock jewel.”

 

Highlights from their 2015 tour schedule include the UEFA CHAMPIONS FESTIVAL 2015 in Berlin, the Swiss Harley Days, multiple special guest appearances with ACCEPT and MOLLY HATCHET as well as the headliner show at the Hamburg Harley Days with approximately 500,000 visitors.

 

The new album “Dead Man’s Voice,” is a stylistic continuation of their debut album, Without A Trace”, but is varied by rough edges, big melodies, catchy hooks and a desire to capture the band’s love of live music. “Dead Man’s Voice” was recorded with producer Markus Teske at Bazement Studios in Stinz-Trinitatis and comes alive with the raspy, rock-and-roll vocals of front-man Timmy Rough.

 

Since February 2015 when THE NEW ROSES signed an international record deal with NAPALM RECORDS (Universal), international press has praised this “rock sensation from Germany.” In the first three days following the record deal, over 100 media stations from Asia, USA and Europe reported on these musicians from Wiesbaden. Press outlets included NEWS CHINA, Canada’s biggest rock-portal BRAVEWORDS, the MUSIKWOCHE (Germany’s most important professional journal), and A&R Worldwide, the global public relations network from Los Angeles.

 

The New Roses have several musical influences to include B.B. King, Chuck Berry, AC/DC, Kid Rock, Bruce Springsteen, Rose Tattoo, Aerosmith, Metallica, and The Black Crowes. But as you will hear for yourself, their style is all their own. Their unique sound was recognized internationally when their debut album’s title track ``Without A Trace`` was featured on the popular US television series ``SONS OF ANARCHY`` and was selected as the official song for the German trailer campaign.

This is one fine album indeed, "Dancing on a Razor Blade" is outstanding, the style is right up my alley, and this will no doubt rank very high for me this year.
