Strange album to reissue. I picked it up years ago (and have one of their singles somewhere) and it's pretty much always been cheap as chips to buy. Can't imagine there is much demand for a reissue.

Vanity Music Group/ 20th Century Music are reissuing a couple people may be interested it?

Defcon - Time Waits For No One (2cd)

image.jpeg.046bed1b26adc16d24aa3ec141c06738.jpeg

Midwest Hard rockers Defcon originated in Ohio prior to moving to - and taking over - the Chicago rock scene in the late 80s. With a rabid local following, the quartet built up an international fanbase through reviews in fanzines across the globe and the tape trading "network" around the world.
This release consists of two discs, the original, remastered version of 'Time Waits For No One' as well as eight additional songs.

TRACKLISTING:

DISC ONE:
01 - Time Waits For No One
02 - Into The Night
03 - One Last Time
04 - How Close
05 - My Time To Fly
06 - Never Too Far Away
07 - Rock Me
08 - Wish It Was You
09 - All Your Love
10 - Hold On

DISC TWO:
01 - What You're Hungry For
02 - I Know How to Rock
03 - Cold Hearted
04 - Don't Stop the Lovin'
05 - All Night Long
06 - Hard, Loud & Heavy
07 - Rock N' Roll Machine (Live)
08 - Down the Road (Live)

Teeze -

image.jpeg.a7dd8525c020b9da02b031e1877e6571.jpeg

New Jersey and Pennsylvania didn't stand a chance when it came to mid eighties shock rockers Teeze. The raggedy glam rock quintet simply took over every city they marched into and took very few prisoners. Just when you thought things couldn't be more over the top, the members of Teeze were more tan happy to prove you wrong.
They had it all and then some but maybe the major labels were a little too afraid of them? Who knows but the band's popularity and success proved them all wrong.
This reissue includes three bonus tracks never heard before unless you happened to be in the band's inner circle.

TRACKLISTING:

01 - Party Hardy
02 - Midnight Madness
03 - When The Moon Is Full
04 - Looking For Action
05 - Hellraiser
06 - Somewhere Someway
07 - Leave Me To Burn
08 - Going Away
09 - On The Run
10 - Crank It Up
11 - Loud and Proud (Bonus Track)
12 - Screaming in the 80's (Bonus Track)
13 - You're Not Meant for Me (Bonus Track)

One recent reissue I think is worth skipping (I know I did) is the 40th anniversary reissue of Stay Hungry by Twisted Sister.

The two "bonus tracks" were already available years ago on the second Club Daze album as bonus studio tracks, and the live CD is ok if you like live discs, but there is already a load of TS live stuff out there (stick to the Hammersmith release).

The 25th anniversary reissue from 2009 was far superior and is the one you need to go for if you want a plethora of decent to great extras. It features a whole disc of unreleased songs and demos, plus one totally new song "30".

It can still be picked up pretty cheap as well.

    • This one's a bit scrappy. 'Sexy in Japan' is actually a half decent tune, but I can't say I'll be returning to this one.
    • Oh, lol, shit, yeah, it looks like it. Would've helped to read that above. Haha. Oh well, that explains a few things...
    • I thought that this was their debut album? Are they same Daytona as years ago? I thought that band was Swiss.
    • You could mount an argument that it's pretty safe, but more to the point, and more significantly, is it's bloody good. Lots of good to great songs on here. Plenty of keepers, but my fave is probably 'Fade Away.'
    • This is passable. Initially I thought they were trying too hard to be something like a new Guns N' Roses or something, even though there's no real actual comparisons, but as the album went on I didn't dislike what they were doing. Not something I'd really play again, but not too bad. 'Jar Of Dirt' was my favourite song.
    • Haha, the ending's good. I hate when it pointlessly drags on and you need to clip it yourself. How are you going with editing songs? When you say you removed the bridge and added a solo, did you use the Replace feature? Or did you do a completely new song with new prompts?  Man, I am struggling so hard with that Replace feature. Sometimes it works seamlessly, but try changing the lyrics in a pre-chorus or chorus and it just won't have a bar of it. Very frustrating when you have a melody you want to retain but you can't amend the song to your liking because the new feature doesn't play ball.  This is one I worked on recently and if you have a look and listen, the lyrics at the start of the pre-chorus don't match the song. I will actually (whether I like it or not) live with the lyrics in this version, because no matter how many times I try to get it to sing "The echo inside," it just won't do it. And "living inside" works okay anyway. And I like the tune too much to scrap it.  If you listen to the full track, check out the ripper guitar solo. I, uh, played, um... it, myself. Of course.   https://suno.com/song/e0591bf8-6721-46e3-ab8a-22f58b5bc719
    • Good album. I'd love it if someone could tell me who these guys remind me of, as in I thought I'd read the write-up and it'd explain that these guys went by another name a few years ago but they changed their name. I can't for the absolute balls of me think of the name of the band or even the name of the song, which was a huge melodic track highly regarded by most here. Album was good, but there was one real blinder. I don't even know how to go about trying to figure out who the band was. But man to christ, does it sound like this project. Plenty of good songs on this one - I really like it.  If I recall correctly the song had a similar vibe and maybe even title to 'Over You' by Shy, but a bit more uptempo and more well produced. Man I wish I could remember it... Grrr.
    • Pretty awesome EP. I think every song is really good, including the instrumental. The two tracks with the LeBrock dude are absolutely top notch - 'Cold as hell' and 'I want blood.'
    • Very authentic 80's sound. These guys have a few mega tracks with huge hooks in their catalogue, but sadly that's what I thought was missing on this one. Nice sound and "nice" songs, but no big really catchy tunes or stand-out tracks, imo.
