Plus the sex scene was something you wouldn't expect on AMC either.

Yeah, I bet that if and when Rick finally reunites with his wife, he won't be particularly thrilled by that development. :rofl2:

When she started bumpin' uglies with his old partner in the woods there at the beginning, I half expected Rick to come walking up on them... then I remembered, "Oh, yeah, he's stuck in a tank. Nevermind."

They're certainly not wasting any time capitalizing on "Walking Dead" mania -- even though they've only aired two episodes, you can already pre-order the first season on DVD/Blu-Ray!!

Funny you mention that, I had to ask Wes if that was his wife or what that his partner was bangin'. I have been missing chunks of each episode but I thought that's what was going on. Should make for an interesting reunion when he finds his wife... :quagmire:

"Wait a minute. Where's Glen?"...

"Wooohoooo!"

Gotta be honest, I can't say for sure that I wouldn't race off in the opposite direction, all on my own.

Also, I gotta be careful to stay clear of this thread, until I've seen the latest episode. This show is the shit!

How many times must I say it?: download them!

720p HDTV, no commercials! And, for you old-ass decrepit fools, watch 'em the next day after you take your pills. There's no other way, IMO.

It's probably the only show I don't fall asleep on.. I usually nod off during Family Guy at 7:30..

I'm pretty good at making it through Family Guy and American Dad. But pretty much miss most of anything on after 9pm...unless it's porn.

Finally watched last Sunday nights show...good stuff. Aside from what was already mentioned above I liked the scene it the beginning where he is running and popping the geeks in the head (did he ever use the grenade?) and seeing as I really like the new Dodge Challenger's, the end where he is using that as a distraction. And I could totally see myself cruising on an empty Interstate...hasn't every guy dreamt about that, emtpy Interstate, fast car, give 'er hell!

I'm glad the base camp was finally attacked. It ticked me off how they were camping in tents just because they didn't see zombies everyday. I would have at least slept in a car or tree. :)

Yeah, they kinda had it coming didn't they?

Although I gotta say, when everybody was just chilling around the campfire all relaxed and you just knew SOMETHING was gonna happen, I expected it to be "Merle," bustin' caps in everyone's ass for leaving him on the rooftop.

Wherever that Merle guy is right now, I wouldn't wanna run into him in a dark alley. After being left alone on the rooftop, cutting off his own hand to escape, and cauterizing his own wound via flames, he has got to be one PISSED OFF MO-FO. I'd rather take my chances with the zombies!

Michael Rooker is fuckin Great as Merle. You can basically smell the alchohol on his breath, as he was talking.

Why do I get the feeling, he is responsible for bringing the Zombie's back to camp?

It was drivin' me crazy where I knew him from, so I looked him up on IMDb. He was in "Henry, Portrait of a Serial Killer." So yeah, he knows how to play batsh*t crazy people.

Oh, damn! I just got caught up. Hoo boy, shit just got crazy! I s'pose an attack on base camp was inevitable. I'm glad the wife-beating ass is gone, but it's too bad one of the sisters is dead, although it's only gonna strengthen further character development.

Yeah, but why did they have to kill the hot one?

I agree.

In a post-apocalyptic world full of ugly, why must the beautiful die?

Because Laurie Holden plays the other sister and she's a bigger name since she was on the X-Files for many seasons as well as being on The Shield's final season.

Last night's "Walking Dead" was another kick-ass installment.

It totally sucks that next week is the season finale already because last night's show went and opened up a whole new can'o worms, with that lone scientist guy at the CDC Headquarters....

Plus the other sister looks like she would be more of a dirty girl...so it might be an ok thing to keep her.

I have to see the glass half full here and that is what I got.

Yup, great episode! Previews for next week looked very good also, I'm wondering what's going on with those soldiers?

I guess Merle was a one episode type of guy? It seems like his brother ain't to worried about him anymore.

I just got done reading the fifth volume of the graphic novel. I gotta tell ya, it's even more f*cked up, than the show..

Really? Next week's already the finale? Damn, that sucks. Oh, well, at least the second season was bought up long ago.

Sucks that tonight is the last episode till October of 2011!! :thppt:

And in an odd bit of news, it seems that executive producer Frank Darabont has suddenly fired the show's entire writing staff prior to beginning work on Season 2.

That's pretty strange. They were doing a damned good job, why sh*t can'em all?

    • Darkstone - I Only Know You're Here (2024)  Well, I've managed to sneak another one in by the end of the year, so that makes it 10. Not sure if this is the final version yet though. I wanna follow Geoff's lead and post this stuff on youtube, etc over Christmas. Just for my own satisfaction of course. I've got several versions of each song, but unlike as I mentioned above, I think I'm gonna go with a 10 track "album" featuring my favourite version of each one, then post the alt versions on a separate "album". I'm using quotation marks, because it's all so bit of fun really, but still incredibly satisfying.    https://suno.com/song/46eaf427-bc89-45d6-82d0-b71072b2b031

    • From Eonian Records: LEGACY’s Hello, New World features all brand new studio recordings with all five original members celebrating the 35th Anniversary of the band.  With an infectious, anthemic sound, Legacy has embraced the classic elements of early to mid-eighties metal with influences from Dokken, Scorpions, and Stryper. Legacy’s signature sound is built around the dynamic interplay between Matthew Rice and Fred Blanchard’s fiery, virtuosic guitar work creating a rich, harmonically layered sound and Doug Meacham’s melodic, soaring vocals with the band’s trademark harmonized vocals. The rhythm section, with its powerful bass lines of John D. Rice and drumming of John Jenkins, provides a solid foundation drawing influences from both the melodic side of hard rock and the more riff-driven approach of traditional metal. Yet, Legacy also shows they can write catchy mainstream rock songs, still with the classic Legacy edge all with an uplifting message. 1. These Five Words 2. Change of a Broken Heart 3.
